Havoc Fox - Final Casting

Project Overview

Havoc Fox is a 2D action platformer featuring two playable characters, each with their own take on the story. As this game has been in development for a while, most of the characters have been cast; however, we still have a few roles left that we need to fill! We are looking to cast six supporting characters and a handful of extras. Any level of talent is welcome to audition! We simply ask that your microphone has clear audio with no background noise and that your recordings are succinct. Multiple takes are allowed and encouraged, but please keep them in the same upload!

These are PAID roles. Payment will be negotiated upon casting and we anticipate paying up-front for completed work (though if this changes, we will be sure to let you know). Recording is expected to begin sometime shortly after the casting call has ended.

This is the guy who won’t let you skip leg day. Napalm is a monkey that runs the only gym in Cerice. He is a fitness buff, bodybuilder, foodie, and all-around people person. Napalm may not be the smartest ape around, but he makes up for it with his big personality and bigger physique! Napalm’s voice is deep and masculine with a thick northeastern/New York accent (and possibly comically exaggerated). He is often intense and occasionally sarcastic.

  • (focused, intense) “Less talkin, more pumpin’! Work those muscles!”

  • (sarcastic, playful) “Wastin’ ya time from causin’ trouble, eh? I knew youse breadsticks weren’t Napalm material!”

  • (angry, offended) “Couple’a wise guys, eh? Ya wanna do this aftah that pathetic display of buildin’ beef?”

Vanalia’s eyes in the skies. Nepha is a fennec fox serving as a fighter pilot in the Royal Vanalian Air Force. As Venice’s friend and former wingman, Nepha is quick to come to the aid of Grey and Venice. She is polite and formal when necessary, but also has enough sass to get her through the day. Nepha’s voice is mature and feminine with a slight Midwestern accent. She speaks in a lot of Air Force lingo.

  • (confident, friendly): “Fancy meeting you here, Rook!”

  • (clear, formal) “Adversaries spotted kidnapping a valuable civilian asset. Requesting permission to engage.”

  • (focused, cautionary) “Big monster just inside the city walls! Man, this thing looks MEAN!”

The friendly mayor of the kingdom’s smallest town. Austinne is a mongoose that oversees everything in Cerice. As the mayor, he is seen as a kind grandfatherly figure to the citizens and visitors of the village, but as Atoi’s father, he is viewed as over-protective and controlling. He is often kind to villagers yet strict with his daughter, but overall has everyone’s safety in mind. Austinne’s voice is very mature and gruff on account of his old age.

  • (tired, apologetic) “I’m terribly sorry if we’ve caused the two of you any trouble. Things have been… chaotic, to say the least.”

  • (friendly, welcoming) “Welcome to Cerice, the kindest little village on this side of Vanalia! Or, at least that’s what I would like to say.”

  • (angry, shouting) “You put innocent lives in danger! Again! And this time, you nearly died in the crossfire!”

The tiny chemist who believes in magic! Step is a mouse with a passion for chemistry- or, in her own words, “potion-making.” She works alongside Suzy at her dig site, using her knowledge of chemicals to help mine, clean, and preserve precious metals and gemstones. Though she is effectively a scientist, Step prefers to view herself and the outside world through a fantastical lens. Step is a bit twitchy and alert, slow to trust strangers, and very meek in personality. Step’s voice is light and feminine and often speaks with an inquisitive tone.

  • (defensive, hostile) “You’re just going, right? Or do I have to introduce you to the Malevolent Monarch of Melting?”

  • (nervous, regretful) “I-I promise I’ll never initiate again! I’ll keep my potions to myself from now on.”

  • (excited, shouting) “It’s melty-melty time!”

A little dog with a big, militant bark! Sgt. Sargent is a teacup Pomeranian and a platoon sergeant in the Royal Vanalian Siege Corps. As a military leader, Sgt. Sargent is firm and aggressive when needed, yet also dismissive when he wants to be. As a tiny fellow, he is constantly trying to make himself appear tougher and bigger than he is, often leading to trouble for Grey and Venice. Sgt. Sargent’s voice is gruff and masculine and intent on intimidating those around him.

  • (dismissive, deadpan) “I’m sure a government agent will drop by your house for your uh… compensation or whatever.”

  • (confused, frustrated) “Has the whole Chair Force gone mad? You can’t defy the king!”

  • (cocky, hostile) “Do you really think that’s gonna scare me? I’m a Cadre! Ad honoris!"

The tech junkie from a far-off land. Event is an Australian Shepherd that hails from the overseas country of Sion. She works with various tech and weapons that she designs alongside Rani. Her success has left her very confident and a little cocky around machines and potential clients. Event’s voice is mature and feminine with a cocky attitude.

  • (excited, eager) “What about the Neural Scrambler? That should get them past all the highway checkpoints!”

  • (outraged, angry) “If the king wants to violate Rani’s contract with Sion, he’s gonna have to go through me first!”

  • (cocky, excited) “If I can get in close enough, I can offset the polarity of the coils which should deionize the atmosphere!”

Lyan

One of the two platoon commanders behind a large-scale robot invasion. Lyan is a young robot rabbit employed by an unknown force to carry out their orders on the battlefield. Though highly alert and focused on the task at hand (when there is one), Lyan's underlying personality is hidden behind this focused front. Often angry and struggling with his emotions, Lyan is prone to outbursts of violence and fits of rage when things start to fall apart. His voice is immature and a bit higher, especially when angered or shouting. Any accent is acceptable.

  • (Firm, focused) "Right Flank secure! Interior is still compromised!"

  • (Confused, shocked) “What is wrong with you!? The adversaries are right there!”

  • (Angry, upset) "I trusted you! Families are supposed to stick together, you traitor!"

Leaux

The other of the two commanders of the robot invasion. Leaux is a "brother" robot to Lyan, operating alongside him on the battlefield. Much like Lyan, Leaux's true personality hides behind his outward, commanding demeanor. Leaux is more grounded and less emotional than his brother, though this left him more prone to manipulation and indoctrination. Leaux has a slightly deeper, more mature voice than Lyan, though his voice is still on the higher end. A deadpan voice would be preferred, though any accent is acceptable.

  • (Firm, focused) "Left flank secure! Hostiles incoming! Danger close!"

  • (Ordering, confident) “Fall back! All units converge on the Grand Cathedral’s second level.”

  • (hostile, concerned): “What are you doing? You know we don’t take kindly to traitors!”
