A worm sorrowfully spends its birthday all alone. After a mole devours it, it discovers all of its friends were eaten by the same mole on the way to the party.
Happy Wormday is a 2D-animated thesis short that explores themes of low self-esteem and self-hatred, culminating in a bittersweet ending.
Synopsis:
It’s Werm’s Birthday party today! As it patiently awaits its guests, none arrive. Werm can’t help but feel unloved by their friends. As if things couldn’t get any worse, a mole barges into its home and eats them! To Werm’s surprise, all its friends were inside the mole too. They were trying to get to the party, but were eaten along the way. Werm’s friends throw a party for them, nonetheless, inside the stomach of the mole, as if there’s no tomorrow!
I don't have anything particularly specific in mind for how each character should sound, so I would like you guys to have fun with whatever you imagine!
