Legacy-One (A Halo Audio Drama)

Legacy-One (A Halo Audio Drama)

Project Overview

Halo: Legacy-One (A Fan Audio Drama)

After years of rewrites, pauses, complete restarts, and odd bursts of creative inspiration, Halo: Legacy-One is in production and we'd love to have you on the team!

Legacy-One is a FAN story of heroism, doubt, the will to fight, and what it means to be human. Set in the year 2551, humanity is on the brink of collapse after over two decades of war against the alien alliance known as the Covenant. Worlds once thought invincible have fallen to the Covenant’s relentless onslaught. The United Nations Space Command (UNSC) stands as humanity’s last line of defense against total annihilation. On the inner colony world of Imber, Fireteam Legacy-One, stationed aboard the UNSC Spark in the Night, finds itself at the heart of humanity’s fight for survival. This is their story.

This audio drama will span multiple episodes, with the first episode slated for release in Fall 2025. Auditions close at the end of July, but roles may be cast before the deadline.

Important Casting Info

We’re seeking talented voice actors for multiple roles! A second wave of casting is expected to be announced in the coming months. If you’re passionate about joining a project set in the coolest sci-fi universe ever (sorry, it’s just a fact), please audition! Just between you and us: Include the words “Kilo Five” at the end of your audition recording to show you’ve read this. This will significantly boost your chances of being cast. I'm sure you can keep a secret!

This is a high-quality production, so major, supporting, and select minor roles require high-quality recordings.

We Have Other Positions for You! Mr. and Mrs. Talented!

We're also looking for additional Audio Engineers, Writers, and Script Editors! Feel free to drop an example of your work!

Good News for Those With Bad Mics!

We need voices for background recordings, ambient conversations, and radio chatter. Even if you don’t have a RODE NT GAZILLION SUPER SUPREME SOMETHING OR OTHER SETUP there’s a place for your voice! Xbox 360 mic gang rise up! Feel free to audition for these roles. If your Mic doo-doo we can find a place for you! Don't worry king. (or queen!)

Audition Recommendations

  • Format for Main, Supporting, and Claire: Use an ABC-ABC format (two takes of each line). A short introduction is encouraged but not absolutely necessary.

  • Ad-Libbing: Feel free to ad-lib after completing your first two takes of each line. We'd love to hear what you come up with!

  • Character Research: Read the full character descriptions for the roles you’re auditioning for. Understanding the character’s traits and background can give you an edge over other applicants.

  • Background Roles: No God-tier sound booth? Don't sweat! Audition for a radio role. Multiple (AND WE MEAN MULTIPLE) people will be casted for this.

Again, auditions close at the end of July 2025.

THANKS SO MUCH! WE CAN'T WAIT TO HEAR YOUR LOVELY VOICES!

Commander Claire S-135

CLAIRE IS THE PROTAGONIST OF THIS SERIES

Lieutenant Commander Claire S-135
is a Spartan-II supersoldier, the ranking officer of Legacy-One, and the de facto Company Commander of the 44th Marine Regiment stationed aboard the UNSC Spark in the Night. Kidnapped for the Spartan-II program in 2511, she spent her childhood under the watchful eye of the Office of Naval Intelligence and project lead Dr. Catherine Halsey. Claire underwent brutal and inhumane training, indoctrination, and augmentation.

During augmentation procedures in 2525, she was one of many “washouts” from the program, presumed dead by her fellow Spartan-IIs and placed in cryo stasis, with Dr. Catherine Halsey hopeful about reviving her in the future. This hope was realized in 2530 when she was resuscitated and tasked with leading experimental guerrilla warfare raids against high-value Covenant targets. By 2551, she was a commissioned officer under NAVCOM and deployed with the 44th Marine Regiment. She is also currently serving as the beta test case for Dr. Halsey’s AI Neural Interface, receiving a smart AI in November 2551.

Claire can be described as:

Direct, Heroic, Unsocialized, Tragic

This character requires the actress to portray emotional subtlety effectively. As a Spartan-II, Claire is very direct in her speech but maintains an emotional wall that is a mountain to climb for anyone trying to know her. Think of the Mandalorian in Star Wars or Master Chief in the Halo setting, if you’re familiar with it.

Role assigned to: Jeremy Shaw

THIS IS A MAJOR ROLE

First Sergeant Marcus “Mark” Adler
is a seasoned ODST and a key member of Legacy-One, led by Spartan-II Claire S-135. A veteran of countless high-risk operations, Adler remains level-headed even in missions with staggering casualty projections. His undying loyalty and respect for his colleagues—forged through decades of combat—are absolute, only shattered by betrayal. Adler’s calm professionalism and combat prowess make him a vital asset, complementing Claire’s stoic leadership with grounded reliability. His nickname “Mark,” a play on his name, stems from his devastating efficiency against Covenant forces, leaving a trail of enemy losses dwarfing human casualties.

Adler knew his calling early in life. In 2523, at the age of 16, he rejected formal schooling or civilian jobs, enlisting as an ODST to serve on one of the first Paris-class heavy frigates. Deployed to quell the Andesian insurrectionist uprising, his early missions felt like glorified policing—disarming farmers with pitchforks and factory workers with sharp tongues. But the conflict escalated when those farmers donned explosives and workers wielded stolen weapons, plunging Adler into the brutal reality of war. By 2530, he was the epitome of a soldier: unquestioning, mission-focused, and ruthlessly effective. Facing the Covenant, a non-human enemy, simplified his moral landscape. Now, in 2551, Adler’s experience anchors Legacy-One, his steady voice guiding Marines through chaos.

Adler can be described as Focused, Experienced, Calm, Professional

THIS IS A SUPPORTING ROLE

Smart AI ALX-0325-7 Atara is one of the first AIs ever to be integrated into a suit of MJOLNIR and exists between the mind and suit itself. She is paired with Commander Claire S-135. In contrast to Claire’s stoicism, Atara has a much sharper wit and far less difficulty with socialization. She will be Claire’s emotional anchor, a voice for when Claire can’t find the right words, and an asset to the UNSC that may finally turn the tide of this over two-decade-long conflict.

Atara can be described as Bubbly, Sharp-Witted, Caring

  • Difficulty with socialization is standard when it comes to Spartan-IIs. So, making sure Claire is completely understood is a primary task for an AI like myself!

  • I chose you because we're more alike then you think. You're not the only zombie here.

  • Ma’am we have 3 minutes before we are inside weapons range of the spire’s Triple A emplacements. As well as when they realize we’re about to knock on their door.

THIS IS A MAJOR ROLE

Private First Class Jordan “JD” Delaney
is an Orbital Drop Shock Trooper, stationed within the 44th Marine Regiment, and a rookie. Jordan has found himself preparing for the fight of his life on his first deployment. Enlisting alongside his friend Private First Class Mia “Dot” Daughtler due to personal circumstances that neither would really like to divulge, Jordan is riddled with doubt about whether or not he has what it takes. This ain’t the life he pictured growing up. As a kid, no one was really sure what was true and what wasn't regarding the war with the covenant However, in 2551, facing his first deployment on Imber, the reality of crashing into a planet in a tear-shaped metal coffin at 800 kilometers an hour has Jordan unsure of everything that has led him to this point. Every motion he makes in his battle uniform, every advisory notice from the shipboard, reminds him he’s a long way from where he came. His friendship with Dot keeps him in check, but deep down, he's not sure he'll be there when it counts.

THIS IS A MAJOR ROLE

Private First Class Mia “Dot” Daughtler is an Orbital Drop Shock Trooper, Rookie, and halfway through a master’s degree in electrical engineering. Growing up on the Outer Colony of Mamore, Dot always wrestled with the idea of joining the military. seeing the world was an appealing idea, yet the pull of home kept her grounded. But when her draft number came up in 2551, she had no choice, and her friend Jordan “JD” Delaney followed right behind her. To her surprise, Dot took to military life like a natural. The UNSC’s rigid routine helped Dot stay mentally sharp, gave her a bunk to call her own, and a proper retirement plan. This was sunshine and rainbows compared to her dog-eat-dog struggles in the Outer Colonies. It was no longer just subsisting on part-time labor and local Kelorist charity, she had an actual steady income. However, she now faces a new challenge. Her first deployment. Worst of all? She still has to look out for Jordon.

Dot almost always has a fire in her eyes but that doesn't stop others from pushing her buttons. Her family has always taken pride in being loyal citizens to Earth, but the cultural gap has never been more apparent then during her first deployment. With Dot's past literally following her in the military with Jordan, in addition with every remark like “cross-eyed innie” it all feels personal even when she knows it shouldn't. The face that she shows is ready for anything, and that rebellious streak ingrained in her from the outer colonies has been redirected. Now a drive to prove those around her wrong. Yet, when alone with her thoughts, the weight of what she now does weighs heavy. She's worried if it will all be enough. She's even more worried if she’ll live long enough to finish her degree.

Dot can be described as Adaptable, Defiant, Strong-Willed

Captain Isaac “Skipper” Morano
is a seasoned ONI officer masquerading as a military investigator. Accepted for the job as an ONI Intelligence Officer in 2535, he was immediately put to work investigating every little thing the shadowy operations of ONI whispered into his ear. Late to Bounty and early to Meridian, his first year was nothing short of chaos. His ears ringing with the word "spook," interrogating fellow soldiers for key details on battles turned into second nature while on the job. Surprisingly enough, the few who get know realize that he's not half bad for ONI agent. Morano know it's better he take this job than let someone else take advantage of it.
