Goodbye, Eri: Manga dub
Project Overview
Looking for voice actors to dub one shot manga "Goodbye Eri."
"Goodbye, Eri" is a oneshot by Tatsuki Fujimoto exploring grief through film from the perspective of Yuta, a high school boy who is ridiculed at the school festival for having a bad movie covering his mother's death. Devastated by the harsh backlash, Yuta decides to end his life by jumping from a hospital roof, where he is suddenly stopped by a mysterious girl named Eri. Captivated by his filmmaking, Eri takes Yuta to an abandoned theater and proposes a deal: they will watch movies together until he learns how to make a masterpiece that will redeem his reputation. As the two teenagers begin filming their new cinematic project, the boundaries between reality, fantasy, and memory blur, revealing a deeply emotional story.
This project adapts the first half of the manga over a week, then later the second for consistent release.

Goodbye, mom! (shouting)
This world is filled with death. Memento Mori. Goodbye. (Pessimisstic)
My mom wanted me to record her final moments. I captured everything... every single situation leading up to the end. But when the time came, I just couldn't look at it through the screen. I ran.

Mysterious and blunt, slightly commanding
Can be incredibly passionate, especially when discussing movies
She acts as Yuta's muse and holds an intensely confident presence in the story (and Yuta’s life by extension)
Multi-faceted, spends a majority of the story as a young, curious girl until a narrative twist re-characterizes her as someone even more strange.

I saw your movie at the festival. Everyone else was mocking it, but I thought it was amazing.
A good movie isn't just about showing what's real, Yuta. You have the power to decide for yourself how you'll remember someone. Your film... it just needs a pinch of fantasy.
Too boring! You need a film that's gonna make people cry! (Passionate)
Adult Male (Late 30s – 40s)
Polite, often worried
Despite attempting to be emotionally present for Yuta, he battles with his own complex feelings of grief
Spends majority of the story concerned about Yuta
Fatherly, Caring

Are you sure everything's alright?
Your mother... you did everything you could. (sad)
Well, it wouldn't be fair if creators didn't get hurt too.
Adult Female (Late 30s – 40s)
She is suffering from a terminal illness and requests that her son film her final days.
Sounds mature, voice gets frail & weaker at one point in the story.
Can be strict and commanding whenever she’s not playful.
Incredibly multifaceted. While introduced: she’s positive and chipper.
As the story progresses, she’s realized to be incredibly dismissive, range is an important part of her portrayal.

Yuta... make sure you keep the camera steady. Capture everything. Don't look away from me, okay? You have to document it all to the very end.
Why did you cut the camera there?! I told you to keep rolling! If you miss the right moment, the entire narrative falls apart. Do it again.
It's date night! (playful)
Emotionally detached,
Depressed, brooding
After the events of the story, Yuta is left emotionally yearning.
