Project Overview

Welcome to the Boomer Dubs casting call for Fullmetal Alchemist Fan Content!

First: Who are we?

Boomer Dubs is a collection of voice actors, artists and game developers working on various creative projects.  We're primarily on discord.  Currently, we have three projects (Monster Prom, Yugioh! and an original indie visual novel), and we are looking to expand into the FMA fandom!

So, what is this?

We have acquired permission from fan comic artists to dub over 20 pages worth of FMA content.  This includes comics, text posts, fake social media posts and a few (SFW) fan fictions.  This is not a fandub of the series.  All of the content we dub will be original, fan content.

Now... who are we looking for?

Although there are plenty of talented voice actors in our server, we don't have nearly enough voices to span the amount of FMA characters that are in these comics.  Boomer Dubs is primarily composed of adults, but we do have a few minors in the server.  That being said, we prefer 18+ auditions.  Minors are welcome to apply, but adults will be given preference. Please have a microphone free of background noise.  Additionally, you may be asked to say lines regarding sex, mental illness, violence, etc.   Please  keep this in mind when auditioning.  Also-- you will need to be comfortable with adult language.

The amount of content that each character has will vary wildly.  There are characters, like Edward, who are in almost every comic.  Minor characters, on the other hand, may only be in one or two.  Please be patient!  If you join the team, we will try our best to include you as much as you'd like to be included, but there simply isn't enough content for some characters.

**Discord is required if auditioning.  We would prefer if you put your Discord in your audition, but simply an indication that you have one is sufficient**

Regarding voice references...

We'll be choosing voices primarily based on the English Dub! Please use clips from the dub as your reference.

This casting call is NOT spoiler free. Please feel free to audition if you haven't seen FMA, but be warned that there are plenty of spoilers below!

    Thank you all for your amazing auditions! I was genuinely blown away by the quality (and quantity!) of auditions that we got. Casting is now completed!
