[Frederator Pitch] ZEN-Logic / Gangsters in a Zoo
Project Overview
ZEN-Logic is a pilot animatic that I'm planning to pitch to a development ecxecutive at frederator, and some more places later. Its a slapstick romantic comedy mainly targeted to kids age 0-12.
Sipnosis-
Kurono, a shameless gangster, meets Delfi, a hippie environmentalist girl. He then decides to start working with her at the local Zoo, while hiding his true nature. But Delfi's best friend, Tothie (a nerdy biologist), knows Kurono's secret: He's mortally afraid of bugs, and thus he hates all animals. Will these secret ever come out?
A dangerous Zoo packed with the toughest of beasts, dragged into a war on the underworld of gangs, all in the hands of this disfunctional trio; The only thing you need to know about this zoologic, is that its anything but ZEN...

Audition Completed!
Thanks a lot to everyone who submited to this audition. It was amusing to interact with so many talented people, and I deeply hope you all had fun with this project, since I defenetedly had. It was kind of tough to say no to many of you because I heard auditions that blowed my mind, but I ultimatedly felt like they weren't the exact fit for the character, or to the other voices. That said, I intend to make more auditions after this one and I'm looking forward to hear from you again when that happens! Now without further ado, let's get to the voices shall we? Kurono--->Saitogami01 Saitogami showed tons of creativity and energy in all of his auditions. With a little direction, his willingness to improvise could turn into very entretaining interactions. His voice is also fitting for the character. On and on, he made laugh just too much so I had to choose him; This begin a comedy and all. Melanchroly--->Toothy Melancholy had a unique delivery that inmediatedly set her appart from the other voices. I believe that having a recognizable voice its crucial when making a lead. Beyond her accent, she made some very crazy voicing decisions when reading the lines on her auditions. Her voice is also perfectly fitting. I choosed Melancholy because she surprised me. ShyRenn--->Delfi ShyRenn was the definition of precise, she added just the right amount of character to the lines to make them work. Since the other actors were so over the place, I wanted to balance them out with a more grounded kind of sound. ShyRenn soft voice and audio quality made her lines very relaxing to hear, wich fits the character's vibe. I choosed her because she sounded belivable. Its also worth mentioning that I deliveratedly choosed voices that sounded different from each other. You could close your eyes and still tell Melanchroly and ShyRenn voices apart even from miles away. The reason I made this short is because I'm determinated on becoming an animator, and thus I will keep throwing more shots after this one. Ideally for kids and young teens since I think they enjoy animation the most, but I'll try a little bit of everything. I hope you liked the video and I'm more than open to all kinds of critisism. Kuro is an scumbaggy, shameless yonki with no scrupulous to get what he wants.I want his voice to be raspy and kind of draggy. Normally he sounds cool and confident, on those scenes make him sound tough and manly. But on the goofy scenes he can easily swich into an awkard skritchy voice. Melanochry
She´s smart and collected, so she takes her time to modulate every word she says. Rather awkard and shy when expressing herself. A serious character, altough in certan scenes when shes been intimidated or when lowers herself, her voice cracks and becomes more goofy and high pitched. Altough I want her voice to be decently cute, shes rather colder when speaking in most scenes, and specially in the early scenes when Kurono thinks hes a boy I want her to sound rather androginous, like a young kid. ShyRenn VA
A charming and playfull woman. She's very friendly and agreeable, but although she seems confident on the outside, she's actually very lonly and hides lots of impotence and low self steem. So she has an enthusiastic and fluid way of speaking, but be carefull not to make her too agressive. She has certain softness to her way of speaking. Even in the sample line where she's deeply disgusted and offended, she doesn't feel grudgfull on her tone, she's playfull and tame, never taking anything too seriously. On her more serious lines, her voice gets slightly deeper and slower and there's certain melancholy on her delivery. It all happened on that incident, *amazed* ten years ago...
*dramatic* I fell on the aligator cage, and, this boy, not only he saved me,
but he did it, *lecuring, saying the line word for word* Without Laying a Singe Finger on the Animals (pay atention to the timing on that line)
*Moved, almost whispering* It was so brave---
BUT THEN THE BUTTERFLY ENTERED HIS EYE
It was disgusting all of that--- sweat and-- tears and---bogger all over the place---
*overwhelmed* and then the insults oh my god the insults---
*deeply offended* I WAS SIX YEARS OLD FOR CRIST SAKE
*alarmed* I heard some racist slurs I didnt even knew existed!!!
*tired and streased* I think I even smelled DEFECATION at some point-
Thats when I decided to devote my life to the peace between humans and animals;
