Project Overview

Hey everyone! This project is for an episode of an upcoming comedy parody low-ish quality animation series on YouTube, on a channel which will be known as Way Shape Or Form! It will cover a wide variety of games, films, etc. in some way, shape, or form! This channel is set to go live within the next few months, when I have about 5 animations prepared (this video perhaps may be one of them).


This particular video mini-series is going to be revolving around Chapter 7 Season 4 of Fortnite (which, as of now, is the current season)! Don't worry, no prior knowledge of Fortnite's storyline is necessary to audition!


PROJECT NOTES:

  • These roles are NOT the final roles that are going to be in the video! There are still going to be multiple opportunities to audition for multiple characters! Don't worry about missing out, there are more roles to come!

  • Some roles have lines that aren't in the actual script yet, but they are there for you to test your range. These lines may or may not eventually be added to the final script, though.

  • NO AI WILL BE USED IN THE MAKING OF THIS VIDEO, OR IN FUTURE "WAY SHAPE OR FORM" VIDEOS.

  • The deadline may not be final. The time I start actually working on this video is slightly dependent on how quickly I can get some other animations done (which may or may not be done before the deadline of this one).

  • This project is not paid. This is going to be a volunteer project.

  • ALL CHOSEN ROLES WILL BE CREDITED IN THE FINAL VIDEO AND IT'S DESCRIPTION. Make sure you let me know what name you want to be used for your credit!

  • Changes are unlikely to be made to existing roles of this project.


AUDITION NOTES:

  • You don't have to link your Discord in the submission, though Discord is required for communication after roles are selected. We will exchange Discord usernames in the CCC Project DMs.

  • Some roles in the future may allow clipping, but only when specifically noted that it's allowed.

  • All auditions are expected to have little to no background noise.

  • Copying the voice references is not required for most roles, and they are generally going to be a bit more open to some interpretation, but the vibes should stay relatively the same as what I give you.

  • Amateur and professional voice actors alike are welcome!

  • If you want to add other non-clarity effects to your audition, make sure you list what effects you used AND still have a version WITHOUT effects also readily available. If you do not use effects, or are only using effects to remove background noise or make your voice clearer, you may ignore this.


THEMES:

  • Violence (what did you expect from a Fortnite video?). The violence is non-graphic in visual nature (i.e. no blood or gore), though some of it may be a little bit intense in the final product. This is all primarily for a comedic slapstick context, though.

  • There is no severe profanity used whatsoever. Euphemisms (crap, heck, freaking) are used somewhat frequently, though.

  • There are no suggestive jokes or crude humor at all.

  • There are no drugs present in the video.

  • Small update!

    Hey all! I just extended the date for submissions to November 30th! This is likely not the final date either, as I still have other projects I'm working on before we get this one on the road!

    There are a few notes I want to get out before the next more important update to the project:

    1) There are STILL more roles on the way! This includes male roles, as well as more female roles. They should be added to the project within the next few days!

    2) The "Sonic The Hedgehog" role is still open, but since there are quite a few VAs that already auditioned for him (great job, by the way!), Sonic is less of a priority as of now. You can still audition for him if you want, but I would also recommend checking out some other roles as well!

    3) It is now preferred to add some other lines of your own with your role. Something you think would fit the character. This is to get a better idea of range than the current lines already give. Such as a couple of lines of different emotion, as well as grunting/attacking noises.

    4) AAABBBCCC format is heavily preferred but not required. For roles with more than three (such as Spyro), you can do those extra lines three times as well. Additional non-project lines and sounds (like 3 describes) do not have to be done in three takes, unless you so desire.

  • IMPORTANT UPDATE #1

    Hey everyone! I want to thank everyone who has auditioned so far for this project, and followed it! There is some new information I want to let everyone know about!

    First off, this video is most likely going to be separated into multiple parts. This will be discussed in more detail as the casting call comes to an end, potentially on Discord.

    Second, there are some new roles, and some important notes about existing ones!

    New roles include:

    • Foxy (FNAF)

    • Pilgor (Goat Simulator)

    • Sora (Kingdom Hearts)

    • Spyro The Dragon

    • Bastian

    There are still more roles on the way, so keep an eye out!

    As for roles that needed some clarification:

    • Mega Man is supposed to be an adult male in this depiction. And, for context, his reason for asking about Genji is because there are multiple characters in his group, and Genji (who is part of the group) is missing at the point the question is asked.

    • The Deer now has a few other sounds I would like to be made. People who have already auditioned for Deer; you don't need to worry about this yet, but you can still audition with the other requested sounds if you please..

This role can be done by anyone who can make a noise.

The noise in question should preferably sound like that of one of Krang's burps (from the 80s TMNT cartoon, I believe) and a roar of a velociraptor combined. Whatever sound you make, it should sound like it'd be menacing at night and completely non-menacing in any other context.
