This story is written by WeirdBeard.
This story is based off of the classic Christmas movie Home Alone but it has a bit of different details in it that is different from the original movie. It is a multi chapter story. That’s the reason why I decided to do the casting call early. Plus, it deserves a proper reading. So, I’ll need VAs and artists for this reading.
This will also be the first casting call for 2 people to get the same role. One is the main VA and the other is the understudy.

Below are the rules of the casting call for VAs and artists:
Casting call rules for VAs:
1. You must have a decent or a good quality microphone. (It doesn't have to be professional studio quality.)
2. Leave three (3) seconds of silence at the start of your audition before you say the audition lines of the character(s) you are auditioning for so I can listen to your background noise. This is for editing purposes for me to see how much background noise I’ll need to remove during your recording.
3. I'm also looking for your ability to act as the character(s) you are auditioning for. The voice does not have to be show accurate. All I care about is your acting.
4. You must have multiple takes in your audition so I can hear your emotional range of your voice. Three (3) takes is required.
5. I'm looking for committed VAs that will honor my scheduled due dates.

Once cast, I'm going to need either your email or Skype to keep in contact and turn in VA lines and/or art. If VAs or artists need to drop out for any reason, I'll understand; however, I would appreciate as much advance notice if possible.

Apple Bloom is a earth pony. She is Applejack's sister. She speaks in a high pitched southern accent. She plays the role of Kevin McCallister (the boy that is home alone).
She screams a lot in the story.
Vocal Range: High
*gasp loudly* (exclaim excitedly) It's finally snowing! We're gonna have a white Hearth's Warming Eve after all!
(exclaim) Yes Ah do! (furious) Ah've been scolded this whole time they've been here, all my friends are gone, there's no room around at all, and Mushy Core ate all my Zap Apple jam! Ah wish Ah didn't have ta spend Hearth's Warming Eve with them! (enraged) Ah wish Ah didn't have anypony ta bug me on Hearth's Warming Eve! No family ta ruin the holiday! Ah wish Ah had Hearth's Warming Eve fer myself!
(Apple Bloom’s legs are frozen solid and stuck) *shriek in terror* (scream for help) Help! HELP! *struggle against the trap* (scream for help) HELLLLLP!
Granny Smith is a elderly, funny mare. She has a southern accent. She sometimes gets cranky and quirky but she cares a whole lot about her family.
Vocal range: medium-high
(call out) Applebloom! Ah'm not gonna tell ya again, git yer rear in gear an' start packin'!
(shout) For the last time, we believe in Celestia, ya Nightmare-worshipping hippy! Git off my porch!
(crankily holler) Here are yer gall dern tickets, sonny, now outta the way! Ah gotta take my mornin' nap!
Big Mac is Applejack’s and Apple Bloom’s brother. He is usually calm and easy going. He’s a stallion of a few words. He has a southern accent. In this story, he is somewhat naive to Mushy Core’s advice.
Vocal Range: Low
(talking about the Shoveler) Ain't the point, Applebloom. (explain) He's not paid fer it or anythin'. Most say he did somethin' terrible and this is part of his punishment. Anyway, don't go an' bother him.
(interject) Look at what you've done.
(protest) AJ, she's fine! We should wait for another train and then we can all go!
Mushy Core is a colt that is a little older than Apple Bloom. He is Apple Bloom’s colt cousin. He is quite dim-witted and oblivious when it comes to Apple Bloom and her feelings.
Since Mushy Core is an OC, the voice will be up to your interpretation.
Females can also audition for this role as well.
Vocal Range: High
(shrilly call out) Applejack! Braeburn's hitting on Apple Turnover again!
(sheepishly) Heh, sorry bout that, cousin. I had a bad dream about a river and I really needed a snack.
(asking about the zap apple jam) (dim witted) Is there any more?
Applejack is a hard working earth pony from Sweet Apple Acres. She is the element of honesty. She is a country pony. She speaks in a southern accent. She is headstrong. In this story, she is overprotective of Apple Bloom.
Vocal Range: Medium
*sigh in relief* (relieved) There you are, sis', Ah was wonderin' where ya ran off ta. (question) Got yer stuff packed, righ'?
(angry) Consarnit, Applebloom, didn't Ah just tell ya ta go get packed? Scoot yer boot, Ah was jus' meetin' with this here patrol-pony.
(livid) Ah am NOT gonna wait a second longer. This never woulda happened if Ah personally checked on Applebloom! Shame on ya for trustin' Mushy Core!
Braeburn is is a friendly earth pony and is Applejack’s cousin. He has a southern accent.
Vocal Range: Medium High
(defensive) W-w-what?! Ah am not, cuz, Ah was just talkin' ta her.
(angry) Darn tootin' rooster! Ah'm gonna wring that scrawny varmint's-.
Flam is a scheming, conniving unicorn alongside his brother Flim. He and his brother Flim play as the villain robbers Harry and Marv respectively in this story. He is sometimes fast talking as if to pitch a sale.
Vocal Range: Medium-High
(to Applejack) (flatly) Evenin'. (explain) As I was about to say, I'm just checking on the neighborhood. The mayor heard that several families are traveling out of town and wanted to see if you were as well.
(Sinister) Anyway, they didn't even suspect a thing. They think that we're the good guys! *evil chuckle*
(Getting hit by Apple Bloom’s traps) *Yell and howl in pain*
Flim is a scheming, conniving unicorn alongside his brother Flam. He is a little more hesitant on Flam’s plans. He and his brother Flam play as the villain robbers Marv and Harry respectively in this story. He is sometimes fast talking as if to pitch a sale.
Vocal Range: Medium-High
(call out) See! I told you this would be the perfect time!
*evil chuckle* (scheming) Then we'll finally have our revenge! We'll steal all their apple trees!
(Getting hit by Apple Bloom’s traps) *Yell and howl in pain*
The train conductor is an impatient, and angry stallion. He scolds the Apple Family for cutting it close to getting on the train.
The voice is up to your interpretation.
Vocal Range: Medium
*click tongue* (impatient) Cutting it a bit close, are we? This train has to leave right now!
(exclaim in frustration) Fine, just get onto the train!
(angry) Sheesh. Some ponies.
The Shoveler is the stallion that the Apple family warned Apple Bloom about in the beginning of the story. He is a nice and kind elderly stallion who feels guilty and sad because of a tragic event that happened to his family.
Since The Shoveler is an OC, the voice will be up to your interpretation.
Vocal Range: Medium Low
(quietly rasp) It was my fault.
(guilty/sad) We had a fight that day. I said a lot of terrible things... and then I shoved my father against the factory machine. I didn't know all that chaos would happen and I couldn't stop it in time. They're gone because of me.
