Hello all!
I have always wanted to bring some life to those classic JRPG's that never had their own voices! So, I am bringing together a cast of enthusiastic fans of the genre to create a compilation of fully voiced cutscenes, starting with Final Fantasy III (for the DS). These will be videos uploaded to my YouTube in an episodic fashion (approximately 9 episodes). While there are numerous characters in Final Fantasy (and JRPG's), I am listing the main and supporting cast, along with extras for various other roles.
SYNOPSIS
The story revolves around four Warriors of Light, named Luneth, Arc, Refia and Ingus. When they find the Wind Crystal, it grants them its power, and instructs them to restore balance to the world.

An orphan raised by Nina and Elder Topapa in the village of Ur. Adventurous by nature, his curiosity gets the better of him as he tumbles into a hole created by the great earthquake. He is rather reckless, but incredibly brave. He is cheerful and positive but can be too impulsive or blunt, leading his allies to scold him.
Pronunciation: "Loo-Neth"
Voice Type: Mid-High, I'm looking for a "traditional" anime hero. Blunt, loud, quirky, but also kind and capable of emotional delivery.
What was that? Light? Darkness? Our last hope?
Slacking off saved her from the curse, so maybe that "luck" might rub off on us!
Hey Gramps! Calm down! Just what is going on?
Another orphan raised by Topapa, and Luneth's best friend. Unlike Luneth, he prefers reading over running amok in the wild. His studies endow him with great knowledge that more than makes up for his shyness. What Arc lacks in strength, he makes up for in intelligence and kindness.
Voice Type: Mid-High, quiet, unsure, reserved, intelligent, cowardly but with inner strength.
I'm not a coward... but I know I have to be stronger.
I want to show everyone that I'm not a weakling! I did manage to come here all by myself... You'll take me with you Luneth, won't you?
(approaching bandits) H-hey! Uh... stop that!
Raised in Kazus by the mythril smith Takka, whose rigorous training led her to run away from home... again. As the sole female of the party, Refia is more of a motherly character than a love interest, and scolds her companions for their unruly behavior. Refia does have a rebellious streak, what with her habit of escaping her father's blacksmith training.
Pronunciation: "Ray-Fia"
Voice Type: Mid-High, brave, motherly/teacher, sarcastic, strong-willed, kind.
I’m Refia. And I’ll have you know that my father and I forged the parts for this ship back in Kazus!
His sword is worth twice that of these two!
I have to train to become a good smith! It’s the least I can do to thank him for raising me, you know.
A loyal soldier of King Sasune's army, he narrowly escaped the Djinn's curse. His prime concern is finding the missing Princess Sara. He speaks in a much more elegant and formal manner than the other three orphans and positions himself as the elder of the group early on when he calls them "younglings." He is not impulsive, preferring to analyze a situation before action.
Pronunciation: "Ing-Gus"
Voice Type: Low-Mid-High, analytical, formal, sure of himself, brave, intelligent.
An audience with the king… Yes, I believe I can arrange that. Come.
Sire, these younglings have come seeking the mythril ring to counter the curse.
No harm will come to Lady Sara as long as I live and breathe.
Cid is an eccentric man and a grateful person, as shown when he gives the party access to a hidden storeroom after they help him. Cid's memory may be weakening - though his inventions do not!
Voice Type: Low-Mid-High, quirky, eccentric, loud, elderly, caring, bit of a southern drawl.
Howdy there! Cid’s the name.
I got a curse cast on me along with these other folks. Ain’t that a trip an’ a half? Hah hah hah!
Warriors of Light… You lads are our last hope.
The Princess of Sasune, Lady Sara is brave and determined. She sets out to seal the Djinn that cursed her kingdom. She is cheerful and friendly while traveling with the others and doesn't mind Luneth's lack of formality. She has feelings towards Ingus.
Voice Type: Low-Mid-High, strong-willed, formal, haughty, typical heroine voice.
Ingus! Thank the heavens you’re all right!
Prepare to meet your doom Djinn!
Men are so obtuse... Must I say it plainly? I want to stay with you a bit longer! There!
A man suffering from amnesia, he is a capable warrior, and a bit of a womanizer despite being in a relationship with Salina. He's the first to step up when his friends are in peril.
Pronunciation: "Deh-Shh"
Voice Type: Mid-High, suave and smooth, womanizer, lyrical, fighter, the joker.
Uh… Well… Haha. Yeah, you got me. The name’s Desch. Nice to meet you all.
But see, even though I lost my memory, I know there’s something I gotta do here.
One trouble after another, eh?
When Aria meets the party she believes they will save the world. She strives to create a world free from darkness. She is a kind and self-sacrificing woman, protecting the party when in need.
Voice Type: Mid-High, soft, kind, prophet, mystical, cute.
The light… I see a powerful light within you. Could that be…?
So you are the Warriors of Light… The crystals have chosen their champions! We are saved!
Promise me... Promise me you will banish the darkness, and restore peace to the world...
Alus is the 10 year old crown prince of Saronia. He can be an outspoken boy, but is also shy and has fallen on hard times. He speaks with an air that is several years older than his actual age.
Pronunciation: "Ahh-Luss"
Voice Type: High, formal, strong but rejected, sad, determined, boy king.
I am Alus, son of King Gorn, and rightful heir to the throne of Saronia.
Adventurers, I must ask for your help… I need to get back to the castle and convince my father to cease this nonsense!
There is much work to do, and there will be time to mourn later.
Doga is a powerful wizard who has lived for many years. He is a recluse, preferring to live alone. He believes that the Warriors of Light have what it takes to save the world and supports them with all he can.
Voice Type: Low-Mid, wise, mystical, mysterious, elderly.
Ah! The Warriors of Light! Good of you to come.
Xande’s plan was to stay his eventual demise by halting time itself…
We must hurry… My time has almost come!
Unei is a magician with power over dreams. She is a wise woman, if a bit eccentric and overbearing. She witnesses everything that happens in the waking world while she is in the dream world. Despite Xande becoming her enemy, she tells the party to save him, showing that she still sees him as a friend.
Pronunciation: "Ooh-Nay"

Unei, Guardian of the Dreamworld, at your service! Ho ho ho!
Hmm… that was taxing. I sometimes forget my age! Heh heh heh…
Put Gil in these thingies here, and you can buy items, weapons, and even armor.
Originally from Amur, they believe that they are truly the Warriors of the Light despite the townsfolk ridiculing them. One of the Four Old Men is summoned by Unei and Doga to rescue the Warriors from Xande's Curse of the five wyrms.
I will be casting two to four actors for this role, one being the prominent old man "Gramps".

The Crystal is a recurring plot element in the Final Fantasy series. One of the four elemental Crystals, it holds the energy of one of the prime elements. The Crystal grants the Warriors of Light their power in order to save the world from darkness.
Voice Type: Low-Mid-High, ethereal, powerful, mysterious, godly.
Warrior from the land of darkness... You have been chosen.
When light is lost, the equilibrium will be no more.
There are others who share your destiny, you must seek them out. Now go!
The Cloud of Darkness is the final boss of Final Fantasy III. Its goal is to cause a flood of darkness to reduce the world to nothingness. It appears as a green-skinned female humanoid that emerges from a portal of darkness at its waist, though its form appears ghostly and ethereal. It is cruel and condescending, having a disregard for human life.
Voice Type: Low-Mid, seductive, commanding, powerful, condescending, cruel, godly.
We shall devour your light, and use it to return this world to the Void!
You are trying my patience!!
You cannot stop the flow of darkness! This will be your final resting place!
Xande is the main antagonist of Final Fantasy III. He is a powerful wizard and student of the Great Magus Noah. When his master gives him the gift of mortality, the thought of dying sends Xande over the edge. Xande is misguided and may not care for anything but his own survival. He is also implied to be nihilistic as a result of his fear of death, due to his intention to cover the world in darkness to ensure death cannot happen.
Though he is mentioned several times in the course of the game, he appears in person only once, when the Warriors of Light battle him.

There are numerous NPC's in Final Fantasy III that need various voices with a large range. Show me your acting chops! Please record all three lines, even if you aren't confident with a certain type. I just want to hear your range.
If cast, you WILL receive named parts and probably several of them.

[Old Man / Old Woman] - Lally ho! Lally ho! Thank you for returning the horn! Here we go, Lally ho!
[Demon] - Haw Haw Haw! I was disguised as your shadow! Thanks for leading me to the shrine!
[Little Boy / Girl] - The Warriors of Light are real! *giggle*
