THE GOAL / WHAT TO EXPECT
Premise: 1999, Tokyo. A young girl goes missing. Triggered by that event, a young man finds himself dragged into a game of death. Spirits from what most believed to be urban legends and folklore slowly eat away at his cursed life, draining his common sense. Don't hesitate. Logic isn't needed against them. Together with others like him who skirt the law, the young man clenches his fists and prepares to fight!
The current cast has been absolutely wonderful to work with! Rest assured that if you are cast, you'll be very comfortable with everyone (We hope!). I am the director and producer of this project and I recently discovered the need for an extra male voice. You'll be playing some small roles so that it wouldn't ruin the viewing continuity of the audience. For example, if they heard the voice of one of the major characters playing as a random extra character. This is a long term project! That being said, since your role would just be filling in for extra work, there wouldn't be too much demand for your time as compared to the others.
*Please note that this is a horror-visual novel and the game is rated M for Mature by ESRB. The gameplay recordings will show rather dark themes and gruesome art so be prepared for that if you are unfamiliar with the horror genre.*
*Our collaborative work is mainly done via Discord. So having an account is a must!*
The Process:
Typically, we move on to the next episode when I post the final edit version of the current episode we're working on (unpublished version where last minute edits and re-records can be made). I will then transcribe more of the game for the next script and depending what goes on for that episode, we will then have a script read over Discord! Afterword's, I then record the gameplay and give dates for when lines are due.
AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:
This is an unpaid project. However, I am still looking for a quality recording with a good mic that can capture the natural tone of your voice. There should be little to no background noise, reverb, or echo and avoid clipping as much as possible. What I am mainly focusing on is how natural you sound and how well you can authentically deliver the lines. No need to do multiple takes. Audition with the best take of the life you can bring to the character! No need to slate either :)
Due to the nature of the casting, I am looking for someone who can be super versatile and authentic with many different sorts of characters. Someone who isn't afraid to go over the top even! Of course while keeping the audio quality decent haha. This fandub and how I direct is more grounded in reality. I'd like the viewers to feel for the characters and be invested into them through your voice acting!

As this will be a collaborative work, before anything, even if you are the most talented VO artist to have ever existed, your personal character is the most important thing. You must be able to work well with others and take constructive criticism. This work should be fun! But it only takes one party pooper to make it feel miserable. So don't be that person!

Police Officer (Male, Age: 25-40) Description: On-edge, alert, cautious.
"What are you doing here so late? There's been a rash of dangerous, disturbing cases lately. You shouldn't wander about... Mind if I ask you a few things? And I'd like to see some form of ID, just as a precaution. A lot of people are reporting crazy supernatural things to the station for some reason. Seriously... The police aren't shamans. We don't deal with ghosts and the like..."
D-Man (Male, Age: 35-50) Description: Composed, businessman-like, curious.
(Via text) "One who explores the untapped world, I am D-Man. Don't be afraid. We'll start with finding OOPArts (can be pronounced O-Parts), the bible we explorers all love. Then... Business can get underway. I sincerely hope that I can welcome you as a new comrade... Showcase your talent to the fullest, and dive into the unknown."
Masaru Ishimaru (Male, Age: 22-28) Description: Unhinged, lack of empathy, narcissistic.
(Finished seeing young girls butchered and mutilated for a ritual)
"That was captivating. Truly. Guess going full criminal to kidnap a kid really was worth it after all.
(The man performing the ritual states that if Masaru continues being disrespectful, he will have to leave)
"Don't be like that, old man. Without my pop's power, you'd be behind bars right about now. That Nagoshi no Gi ritual or whatever, yeah? Sounds like a mouthful. Why not shorten it to NG?
(Man states that Kakuya might be listening and tells Masaru to be careful with his words)
"Ooo, now that's scary. You better hurry up and finish making her playmate hehehe..."
