The second chapter of the Sim Settlements 2 series, brings a high-quality and large mod for Fallout 4 that aims to improve upon many aspects of the base game, including the storyline. You can look forward to a very high-quality voiceover by mod standards.
- GameStar
This chapter focuses on the rise of the Gunner threat (a well-established military faction).
The team includes industry professionals, and we are raising the bar with each chapter (with a third chapter to seal the storyline).
One of our production-quality boosts this chapter is the inclusion of motion capture and custom animation (as seen in the above trailer), to really up the performances.

Player action and choices form a big part of our quests. The player influences outcomes of characters and their stories - which really help bring our characters to life.
Each character has had a backstory thoughtfully, and meaningfully, written.
Our writers have put their passion and love into these characters - and now we're out to find passionate actors who complete the other half!
Furthermore, you may not hear from me until we have roles emerge that match what you have showcased.
Once cast - you will not be expected to edit or cut your recordings - we have all that sorted.
Some assigned characters will contain curse words, so if you are not comfortable with that - let me know by writing it on the post of your audition.
If it happens that the character has cussing in the script but you chose to opt-out - then if it still makes sense for said character to have their cussing omitted - we will do it for the actor.
There will not be any sexual content.
*Please refrain from slating your audition!

Shhandy (pronounced just "shandy") is a cocky street kid who runs messages for Jerred Lund and the Commonwealth Police Department. He's also quite the potty mouth (but this may get changed, so feel free to omit those words if you don't wish to curse).
Age: 10
Speaks with a thick Maine or Boston accent
Wears practical street clothing topped off with items of acquired police gear such as a cap.
Talks a lot, but with a poor grasp of language and exaggerated use of colloquialisms.
NOTE: When Shhandy cusses - it should be more like how a child might say curse words innocently, in that, they don't necessarily understand what they mean but have picked them up them from grown-ups
While Shhandy is a male kid - we are open to anyone auditioning for him. You are also free to use pitch adjustment edits if it helps with your case.
Detailed Summary
Shhandy remembers little of why he ended up on the street, which is probably a blessing. He does however have a lot of made-up stories about his origins. He’s been on the street for as long as he can remember and you could almost say he’s thrived there. He mixes well with strangers and boy can he talk. He talks so much that although his real name is Andy, being told to shush so much turned his name into Shhandy.
Some time back he bumped into a scavenger/ trader named Jerred Lund. Of course by bumped, I mean tried to rob. Jerred caught him in the act, but Shhandy won him over and has been running messages for him ever since. When ‘Mister Jerred’ joined the Forsetis in setting up the Commonwealth Police Department, Shhandy of course became part of it too. He loves the idea of the CPD in a naive comic book way. Beating up the bad guys, saving the day and all that. But is often disappointed by the fact that the grown-ups don’t let him join in with the exciting stuff, sending him off with messages instead. To feel part of it, he has picked up bits of uniform/equipment such as a police cap that’s too big for him.
(friendly, delivering a letter)
- Mister Jerred wants to meet them down at the docks back east, and then I have to stop talking or you'll never fucking get there he says.(Player's making fun, saying they don't know what 'language' Shhandy's speaking)
- Wha'? I'm talking same as you are asshole.(Taunting the enemy)
- The CPD's going to fuck you up!
Age: Early 30s
NOTE: This character will also return for the next (final) chapter
Lydia Proudmore is a Trader with the New Liberty Trading Company, and second in command of an expedition to the Commonwealth. The NLTC is a corporate-structured society that values the written contract and trade above all else.
Lydia is an effective negotiator and trader, cold and focused on her objective.
Unlike her boss, however, she does have a hidden conscience. At some point during her life, she realized that the NLTC had true potential to usher in civilization and prosperity by uplifting communities and trading partners - but that the potential got crushed under greed and short-sighted exploitation. She has carefully attempted the experiment of real goodwill many times, only for Mr. Glatton (her current boss) to swoop in, exploit the burgeoning community, award her accolades for 'setting up the score', and leaving empty husks of the place she had tried to truly do something with.
She is disillusioned, cynical, careful, and distrustful. Exhausted by the lack of progress in her goals, it takes extraordinary circumstances for her to open up about her real motivations.
Currently, she's come to the conclusion that she won't make any progress while she is subordinate to Mr. Glatton. Displacing him, however, is a delicate political maneuver, and the man is too well-established and profitable for the Home Office to simply give her a promotion. She knows that to accomplish what she set out she needs several things to fall into place at once: For Glatton to return home, and for her to be promoted to Chief Trader of the outpost. In the player, she sees a perfect partner.
When speaking, she is typically eloquent, cold, and professional. She will sometimes try to ‘overwhelm’ her client and keep them off balance in the conversation while she remains cold as ice under pressure. Even her approval is outwardly lukewarm, but she does have good intentions under them.
(introducing self / cold / professional) - *Circe is pronounced sur-see*
- Lydia Proudmore. I'm your contact for today's negotiations. You must be Dr. Circe. You're late.
(cold / approving / professional) - *Business ended successfully. Meeting is being wrapped up*
- Wonderful. In that case, our business here is concluded. I have faith that our resources will be well spent. If you happen to be interested in the services we provide, come see us at our field office. I'm sure my boss would love to make your acquaintance.
(Combat)
- Rargh! (Fast slash of a knife)
- You're gonna pay for that! (Taken light damage, mad)
- Eurk! *cough* (Taken heavy damage to the stomach)
Charles Galister
Age: 41
The head of the Institute’s “sanitation department”.
5'9”, slightly scrawny but has some muscle.
Speaks with a mild stutter, timid at times.
Neutral accent
Whilst his position was not the most glamorous, Galister still took his job seriously. Although he did not have much pride in it.
NOTE: Galister will return as a larger role in the next (final) chapter.
Galister was born and raised in the Institute, and knew nothing of the world outside. He is a shy and, at times, nervous man. But despite some of his social shortcomings, he’s happily married and has two children (pre-Institute destruction).
He works as head of the “Sanitation Division”. A somewhat mocking title, as officially there was no such division. Still, Galister found fulfillment in his work for the most part.
(Polite / Timid / Respectful)
- Ah, yes. Hello! I was informed of your arrival. Welcome to the Institute. I’m... Galister. Charles Galister.
(Polite / Timid / Somewhat Nervous)
- Oh! ...Yes. I just... didn’t expect -you- of all people to be speaking with me. Most people here don’t bother, you see.
COMBAT LINES:
- Not in the face! Not in the face!!
- Uh... (thrusting a knife, weakly)
- Aaauucch! (Taken a heavy injury / In pain)
This is a general post as there are multiple characters within the Gunner faction (named as well as general NPCs) that need a voice.
The Gunners are a militaristic faction — which should reflect a bit in their tone.
Accent:
- Neutral American or light East Coast
(These lines are taken from different characters, they have been selected to assess auditions to see where best fits you)
(Slightly confrontational / Authoratative)
- How'd you get past the security door? We’re on lockdown. Only select individuals are meant to have access to cards.
(being interrogated / Super Nervous / Scared)
- We- ...We were meant to meet with Commander Berman. He needed our help moving something. Something big! I don’t know what though!
(Combat)
- Rargh! (Fast slash of a knife)
- You're gonna pay for that! (Taken light damage, mad)
- Eurk! *cough* (Taken heavy damage to the stomach)
