Fallout: New Vegas - Suspicious Minds (A Fallout New Vegas Mini DLC)
Project Overview
Suspicious Minds is a small sized quest mod, around the same size as the Vault-Tec Workshop DLC from Fallout 4, with a major focus on replayability. Jackson Hayden, a farmer from Goodsprings, needs help to find his missing wife. The branching storylines offer the player the opportunity to broadly affect all the characters' lives dramatically. Will the player help or are they out for themselves?
Tonally, Suspicious Minds is on the darker side of Fallout writing since it deals with some serious issues such as alcoholism. As such, goofiness should be kept to a minimum for tonal consistency.
No decisions for roles will be made until deadline has been reached. This is to allow time for everyone to audition. Don't panic if you don't get a response straight away. The script is a rough guideline. Improvisation allowed and encouraged to match speaking style/dialect.

Teagan Hayden is a gecko hunter who lives with her husband Jackson. She and her husband have been having marital issues moving on after the death of their daughter. Jackson has turned to alcohol to deal with his issues. This makes Teagan unhappy because he’s often too drunk to be a good partner. Despite many attempts to help him, she has had no success. When the player enters this situation, Teagan has been missing for days and takes a job to find her and bring her home. When the player catches up with her, they find themselves tied up in a situation between convicts, Teagan and a man called Riggs. The player can side with the convicts betraying Teagan, help Teagan escape the convicts and build a new life with Riggs or convince her to give Jackson another shot. Each of these choices has consequences.
Teagan should come across as assertive and confident in her combat abilities due to her being a hunter. She should seem tired of Jackson and as if she wants to move on with her life for a real shot at achieving happiness.

I'm the one who puts food on the table for both of us. Ever since our daughter passed, he's not been the same guy I fell in love with. He thinks burying his head in a bottle will solve his problems. The thing is: it's not all about him. Riggs gets that and that's why I'm leaving.”"
"How glad I am to hear that stranger. After everything you've done for us, I'd hate for us to end up killing each other. This Jackson problem won't go away anytime soon though. We need to deal with it one way or another. Convince him to stop or put him in the ground if it comes to that. I know it sounds cold talking about my husband that way but it's him or us. I'll pay whatever he's paying. We got a deal?
Riggs is an escaped convict from a local chain gang. The prisoners rebelled after stealing dynamite they were using to help work on the rail lines. Some stuck around to make trouble and make a living from banditry. Riggs refused to stoop so low, stole some money from the gang and tried to escape with his morals still intact. Along the way, he bumps into a woman called Teagan who he saves from the gang. In the process he takes a bullet. This is the point where the player discovers the duo. Riggs should come across as well adjusted and overall a good person. He should still have confidence that he can handle himself.

"What? Why not? What's changed? Nah, I get it. You shouldn't throw your life away to be with someone like me."
Chambers is a doctor who works with the Followers of Apocalypse. A group of humanitarian anarchists whose purpose is to heal the sick and share knowledge with the denizens of the wasteland. As a character, they should come off as intelligent but confident; unafraid of letting wastelanders push her around. She normally has busy days due to how overworked Followers doctors are so she should maybe sound a little stressed and/or tired.

Finlay is a rough drug dealer responsible for robbing a Followers Of The Apocalypse caravan full of medicine. He is selling the stolen medicine at discounted rates with his top seller being Med-X (The Fallout equivalent of Morphine). As leader of a gang, Finlay should come across as intimidating and confident in his leadership.

Fingers is a wasteland merchant who deals in the sale of leather goods such as armor and rugs. He is a sharp salesman and should employ all the tricks in the book to get a sale. He should come across as charismatic and even a little slimy/gross. The player has to obtain a set of leather armor for another character who points them to Fingers who’ll create it.
Fingers is a supporting role with a little more dialogue than the other supporting characters, thus the payment will be higher. Characters appearance subject to change depending on chosen voice.

Duke is a convict from the NCR forced to work on the chain gang after being found guilty of murder. After a riot in the prison, the convicts, now free, become the areas’ local bandits. Duke is a ring leader due to his experience as a soldier in the Bishop crime family in New Reno. Duke should give off gangster vibes but also come across as intimidating.

Jackson is a farmer in Goodsprings who recently lost his daughter. Because of this he has turned to alcohol. He has recently sobered up because his wife has went missing and asks the player to find her. Depending on the player's choices, Jackson can either lose his mind and seek vengeance on his wife for leaving him or he can find some peace if the player helps him see the light.
This is a leading role and has the second most lines of dialogue in the mod. Similar to the role of Teagan Hayden. Appearance is subject to change depending on chosen voice.
