"Hey, a man doesn't kiss and tell. Nah, I wish that was it. Real reason is way less suave. Stabbed my old boss in the fingers with an awl when he wouldn't pay me; back when I was dumb enough to work for one."
"Just because I don't pick through garbage doesn't mean I don't like a roof over my head when I sleep. It's good to have contacts."
"Great, the caps will be waiting for you when you get back. Let me mark the place on that Pip-Boy of yours. Don't want you getting lost out there do we? Oh and try not to get yourself killed, will ya?"
This was really good. Good job. I really liked the general feel you brought to the character. Delivery on "stabbed my boss in the Fingers with an awl" could have been better though. It could have sounded more shocking and caught the listener off guard which would give an aura of light comedy to it. It's understandable though, there's not a lot of clear context to be able to tell that's what I was looking for. Overall, great job! You're in the shortlist anyway as I narrow down the choices!
