Fallout 4 CSEP: Hatcher Island
Project Overview
About Hatcher Island:
Hatcher Island is a character-focused quest mod where you go to an isolated island off the coast of Massachusetts to help the settlers take their town back from pirates, or instead join the pirates and drive the settlers away. Once the town is secured you rebuild it with the faction of your choice, building your own settlement and unlocking new shops and side quests as the town is rebuilt, eventually rebuilding Mistmoor to its former glory or making a libertalia-style pirate haven.
Instructions:
I am requiring everyone to have a half-decent mic, at least as good as a blue yeti, and to have a discord account so they can join the discord after I accept your audition(I will send the link in a private message after I accept the audition) where you will share the files and WIP with me and I will give tips and directions. Please save everything as a 32bit, 44k MHz WAV file (Or the closest your recording software can export in), I would prefer each line to have multiple takes so I can choose the best one for the context. Try to have minimal to no background noise, although I can remove it it would be easier just to not have it there, I will do all the post-processing and audio mastering so avoid doing that yourself.

Norman is an old sea dog, he's been sailing and fishing around Hatcher Island for longer than most of the residents have been alive. He wants the town free so he can go back to sailing and fishing again.

“My friends call me Norman, I’ve been sailing and fishing these seas for longer than most of them have been out of diapers.” (Friendly but gruff, joking a bit at his own age)
“I come from a settlement north of here, on an island, it’s been overtaken by pirates.” (Concerned, Explaining why he needs help)
“Hatcher island is off the coast, and home to alot of ‘lurks, but it’s also home to Mistmoor, my home town and the home to alot of my friends, but now they’re all hiding in a cave from a gang of murderous pirates.” (Concerned for the safety of his neighbors who he left behind to go get help)
Shannon is a firey Irish redhead who runs the general store and used to help Norman coordinate caravans to and from the island. She'd like her livelihood to stop being burned and plundered by pirates.

“This is who you brought to help us? One merc?” (In disbelief that Norman went all the way to the shore to get help and only came back with one person)
“You could be the tooth fairy for all I care, one person isn't going to get a gang of blood thirsty plunderers off our island.” (She knows they’re going to need alot more help than one guy and his backpack full of 20 pipe pistols)
From a long line of farmers, Tedd and his boys want to get their livelihood back. He's a protective father and doesn't want to lose his boys like he did his wife, also yeah dead wife.

“I’m Ted, my boys are around here somewhere, You already met Shannon and Norman, we also have Doc Baxter, Gums and his grandaughter Katelyn.” (Introducing the player to the settlers)
“But won’t the pirates… (Confused at first) Oh shit, they aren't after the merc, he could go around and they wouldnt have a clue.” (Moment of realization)
Gums is a kooky man, his nickname comes from his lack of teeth, he's been on the island longer than Norman and still knows his way around a gun, he's still a shooter despite his arthritis. His granddaughter, Katelyn, lives with him.

“Thomas ‘Gums’ Doyle the third, there ain't a forth my ex wife protested, she’s dead now… I didnt kill her if that’s what you’re thinkin’ 'twas natural causes.” (Being a goofy old kook)
“I gotta stash of guns I kept for an occasion just like this at the north tower, but with the pirates about it’s been too dangerous to send anyone to get them, till now heheheh.” (Kooky old man laugh at the end)
“This is Gum’s Guns, thanks to you I was able to restock and get this place built back up, heh thanks kiddo.” (Greatful for the player’s help on retaking the town)
Baxter isn't trained to be a doctor or a barber but he's the best the town has, nobody has complained about their haircut but just don't ask for surgery. He traveled up the coast from Georgia and settled on the island with the rest.

“I’ll admit it, I’m not a read doctor, but I’ve read enough waterlogged anatomy books to get a general understanding of it, trust me, you’re better off with me than attempting it yourself.” (Honest about his skill level but still wants to stay in buisness)
“I’m a Georgia boy born and raised, but I got on a boat at broken banks and went up the coast till I got here, Little paddle steamer used to go up and down these waters. Heard the ferryman died a while back. Brain bashed in or some such, awful shame that. Now, what else can this sawbones do for you?” (Friendly explanation of his upbringing, he left the south 15ish years ago when he was a teen)
“I’m a doctor not a brick layer.” (Obligatory star trek reference)
Angus managed to survive the attack using his business skills to tell the pirates his bar would be good for them.

"Angus Fergeson at your service, I survived the attack by promising them free booze if they don’t kill me. You’d be suprised how far you can convince a man with the promise of free grog.” (Explaining his business proficiency)
“Keep your voice down laddy, I don’t want them to know about this, but yeah.” (Hushed tone, doesnt want to be overheard)
“Glad to hear it, now they’re hiding out in a cave on the coast, not far from Norman’s old dock, I told the pirates the place was infested with lurks so they havent investigated it yet, please make sure they’re okay.” (Still hushed, revealing the secret hideout of the survivors, worried for their safety.)
During the raid on Mistmoor Ross hid in the doctor's office, he doesn't show up again till the place is rebuilt.

The son of farmer Ted Eli is the older brother who's more reserved and responsible, he isn't prepared to risk their lives to fight but will with convincing

The son of farmer Ted Sean is the younger brother who is more willing to go ahead first into fighting the pirates.

“See Pa, even the merc agrees, lets go show those pirates what for.” (Excited to go fight)
She came to the island to live with her grandfather, Gums, who runs the gun store. She wants to keep him alive even though the old man is quick on the trigger.

“There’s alot of mirelurks, that’s why I’m not a big fan of hiding out in this cave, I hope we get our town back.” (Uncomfortable hiding in a cave)
“I used to work at Angus’ pub before the pirates drove us out of town, I hope Angus is okay…” (Worried about her friend.)
Davenport is an n overconfident leader, he has big plans and a big ego. He managed to get this gang together by over-promising and boasting.

"Welcome to Hatcher Island, you've joined us right before we break ground on the first truly free city of Davenport." (Boasting about his big plan)
Cap'n: "My favorite topic! I am a privateer, my allegiance is to myself alone, and my crew's allegiance is to me, we make our living in various ways, buying, selling," (Stroking his ego) Polly: "*Squawk* Plundering." (Funny parrot) Cap'n: "When the situation calls for it. Piracy is a risky business, I prefer commerce, that's why this city means so much to me, a place to do business that doesn't require a blade on your throat." (Explaining his big plan)
"Polly? She's a good girl, can't be a good captain without a parrot, at least that's what all the old books say." (She's actually a crow but he's not smart enough to know the difference)
Peg is a lot smarter than she lets on, she's been working her way up the ranks through lying and manipulation to take over the gang herself, but from what the captain can tell she's an overly supportive first mate, always agreeing with him and backing him up.

“Isn't he the greatest? He led us taking over this town and now he’s going to rebuild it and make us a new home!” (Peppy, excited, again overly happy)
As the ship's quartermaster Fisheye manages the buying and selling of the gang's plundered goods, he's a bit eccentric but he's got a good head for numbers, likely the smartest member of the crew. He’s really the one making sure the cap’n’s plans pan out, Cap’n is a big talker but when it comes to doing ask Fisheye.

Powderburn has a short fuse, which is bad for a woman in charge of munitions and armaments. She gets antsy if you stick around too long. She joined the gang when they both were raiding the same ammo bunker.

“Well I was raiding this old prewar munition bunker when I hear people coming in behind me, we got in a shootout and after killing a few of his men the Cap’n offered me a job, been with him ever since.” (Friendly casual storytelling about murdering people)
“With my own two mitts, I can promise you they work but I can't promise you they’re safe. *Chuckles*” (Joking about the safety of her handmade firearms)
“Well, one day we were on the sea and I was making some tools of the trade, and well… lets just say we needed another backhalf of the ship.” (Jokily telling the story of how she got burn scars on half of her face)
A reprogrammed Mr Handy with doctor and barber subroutines and a ridiculous pirate stereotypical voice that sounds almost out of an old drive-in movie, they salvaged it from an old themed restuarant.
