A Yu-Gi-Oh inspired series where a bunch of students (with inhuman abilities) are invited to join Duel Academy. Little do they know, they’re not there to become professional duellists. With a few twists and turns along the way, the students must do all they can to protect the school and in some cases... the world! Since some of the characters were originally made for DnD, expect the unexpected.
What is Gacha?
For those who don't know, Gacha Life/Club are apps where people can create characters and express their creativity to their heart's content. There are a collection of Gacha videos out there and they are made up of Mini Movies, Series, Music Videos, Memes, etc.
What I want from you
Voice actors are to be fluent in English. North-American accent is preferred.
To be able to express strong emotions such as; crying, yelling, screaming, etc.
If you could repeat lines when necessary.
No obvious voice changers or otherwise speed and pitch altercations.
Deadline
The deadline will be updated once I get a full cast together. When you receive your role, I will give you a deadline for recording.
Requirements
Due to this being a non-profit project, technical and professional quality isn't as expected. However, try to record in an area, or with a mic, that doesn't allow an over-abundance of background noise.
You must be 14 or older to audition. The primary route of contact will be Discord or Twitter DMs and make sure to enter your discord name and tag after your audition. My contact details are on my profile.
All of the roles have gender requirements-- however, if you can imitate said gender (realistically), that's allowed too.

About: Ailah is a kind-hearted girl who enjoys duelling and believes she has what it takes to become a pro duellist. She can be overconfident at times without knowing it. Ailah’s past wasn’t easy as she grew up in The Dark World as part of the royal family where her parents were the king and queen. Ailah possesses demonic powers, however she refuses to use them as she wants to live a normal life.
Voice Range: Mid to high, clear, loud at times.
“Why am I here? Well, to become the next Queen of Games of course!”
“Hey, it’s okay! We’ll work on your skills together. No classmate left behind, am I right?”
“I RITUAL SUMMON CYBER ANGEL DAKINI!”
About: Nova is a laidback, rebellious, confident and kind girl who enjoys singing and playing the guitar. Nova comes from a fairly decent background. She is half Nymph with her Mother being a Nymph and her Father being human. Nova does not scare easily and if anyone messes with her friends, she won’t take that lightly.
Voice Range: Mid to low. Reference: Hayley from The Music Freaks,
“You know, I could get used to this place.”
“I write music, it’s kind of what I do when I’m not playing card games.”
“Say what you want about me, but if you ever mess with her again, you’ll be wearing that trash can as a cervical collar.”
About: Safaia has never been able to understand human feelings. She is emotionless and cold towards people as she grew up being used as a weapon to destroy demons. Being a demon herself, she is able to sense other demons making her the ideal demon hunter. She does show acts of kindness towards her friends though.
Voice Range: Mid range, soft, monotone and emotionless. Reference: Violet Evergarden.
“I know what you are... I can sense the darkness within you.”

“Yes, I am a Demon. But I am also a Demon Hunter... I don’t see anything wrong with that.”
Kyle serves as the main villain of season one who's goal is to take over the school and steal the souls of strong duellists. He's a dark creature who disguises himself as a high school student. He is your typical edge lord who is pretty popular with the girls, however most students are scared of him.
Voice Range: Mid-deep range. Monotone, angry at times (But not loud). Reference: Sasuke Uchiha from Naruto.
(Slightly sarcastic) What's wrong, Homura? It looks as if you've seen a ghost (Evil Chuckle)
(Calm, but still sounding irritated) Hmm... I'd be careful if I were you, kid. I'm the last person you want to mess with.
(Maliciously) Oh, Roman... you really think you have this school under control? You fool.
Eric is one of Kyle's friends/servants. Unlike Kyle, he is a regular teen boy who just wants to have friends. Ever since he was a kid, he never had friends and was always targeted for bullying. Finally being accepted by someone, he does what ever Kyle asks him to do. He can be a jerk at times, but his heart is in the right place and he cares for those he loves. He can be a show off at times and he's a goofball.

(Excied) YEEAAHHHH!!!!.... (Suddenly confused) Why are we cheering?
(Cocky) Huh... Is that all you've got? If you keep playing that way, you'll never win. I'd give up if I were you.
(Upset and angry) It's not like that, okay!? Look, you wouldn't understand... SO MIND YOUR DAMN BUSINESS!
About: Shinya is a laidback, slightly dense and witty boy, but is intelligent when it comes to duelling. His best friend is Daemon, they have known each other since they were kids. Shinya likes to give people nicknames to match their looks, personality and deck. He is very sceptical when it comes to magic so I’m sure he will be in for a surprise as the series goes on.

“I slept for 12 hours last night, that’s not enough for me.”

About: Daemon is a cocky, energetic and an arrogant boy who has two sides to him. He can have a calm demeanour with a hint of playfulness and arrogance. But his other side is highly energetic with slight irritation. This side of him occurs usually when he gets fired up during duels.

Marella is the daughter of Chancellor Roman. She is a new student at the academy and is hoping to one day become a professional duellist. She is kind, caring and vulnerable. Her beauty usually attracts a lot of the students, especially Eric. She is part mermaid, although she doesn't know that since her father keeps that from her.
Voice Range: Mid. Soft spoken. Reference: Hiyori Iki from Noragami.
(Soft spoken) Hi! Sorry to bother you, but do you mind if I stick with you? I don't know my way around yet. (Nervously giggles)
(Recalling a nice memory) My father used to take me out to sea when I was a little girl. Looking out at the water would make me feel so happy. Watching the waves come and go... (Sighs) I miss those days.
(Frightened as she is grabbed by the arm) NO! PLEASE, LET ME GO! I won't tell anyone, I swear!
About: Shatrie is a smart, slightly anxious and determined girl who loves history and ancient artefacts. She grew up looking up to her father, who sadly passed away. She was given the Magician of Black Chaos monster card by him and she is never without it. Shatrie comes from a wealthy background. She is quite Naive and sees the good in everyone.
Voice Range: Mid to high, formal. Reference: Luculia Marlborough from Violet Evergarden

About: Kai is a kind and caring person. Despite his age, he is very mature. He is very reliable and people find that they can trust him also most immediately. He grew up in a very traditional Japanese home, focussing on studies and martial arts. He is a second year student at Duel Academy.
Voice Range: Mid to low, typical anime protagonist. References: Haiju from Run with the Wind or Seiya from Tsurune
“Are you lost? Here, let me help you. My name is Kai Tesshin.”
“Haha! Don’t be silly, you’re not bothering me at all. As an upperclassman, it’s my honour to help my fellow freshmen.
“Just know that when I duel, I never go easy. I give it all I’ve got, so be prepared.”
About: Dorran is a sweet, considerate and gentle boy who has a fascination with plants and flowers. He enjoys gardening and is very protective of his flowers. He is a High Elf who grew up with 4 older sisters, making him the baby of the family. He is slightly oblivious at times and a bit of a goof.
Voice Range: Mid range, soft spoken, panicky at times.
“You wanna see my flowers? I grew them myself.”
“NOO! Don’t step on the Lilies! They were planted this morning! Oh God, my poor Lilies.”
“A duel? Well, I guess my roses can wait a little longer.”
About: Emi is a sweet, kind-hearted, positive, empathetic and caring girl who can be a little clumsy at times. She is very anxious and is usually a victim of bullying. She grew up in a broken home not knowing her Father and her Mother having issues with alcoholism. She found comfort in her stuffed animals which she found to be her only friends. She entered a competition to create her own deck which she won and received $50.000 as well as her deck being made into an official deck for only her to play. The money helped her to move out and join Duel Academy.
Voice Range: High, soft spoken. Reference: Manami Okuda from Assassination Classroom or Kotomi from Clannad.
“Uhm... if it isn’t too much trouble, could you tell me where I need to go? I’m a little lost”
“Oh no! I’m so so sorry! I should have looked where I was going. I’m so clumsy at times, I just get in everybody’s way!”
“I summon Fluffel bear! Awww he’s so cute!”
Liza is one of Kyle's friends and is madly in love with him. She will do whatever he asks and she is not afraid to kick someone's butt if they cross her. She is one of the most popular girls in school and she doesn't let anyone forget it. She only cares for herself and Kyle. She has a slightly psychotic behaviour at times, especially when she is riled up.
Voice Range: Mid-high range. Reference: Motoko Minagawa from Fruit's Basket.
(Snotty) You're in my way! I suggest you move before you get hurt.
(Sarcastic and maliciously) Oh what a nice guitar! You don't mind if I have a go, do you? (Takes guitar) Thanks, you're too kind!
(Mocking) Aww, girls look! She's gonna cry. The poor baby!
About: Mia is a sweet and bubbly girl who isn’t afraid to try and make friends with people, although she rarely speaks and usually communicates using her notebook. Don’t let her sweetness fool you as she had a tendency to curse those who do her wrong and isn’t afraid to fight someone if it comes down to it. She is a Serene and is quite dangerous when she wants to be.
Voice Range: (When she does speak of course) Mid to high, slightly nasally. Sayaka Maizono from Danganronpa
(As she rarely talks, she does make sounds as a way of communicating) “Mhm”

Kain is a little arrogant but is kind to those around him, especially his close friends. He loves duelling and teaching as he came from a home of professors that would make sure he got the best education. He had a brother called Raziel and they would duel against each other all the time. But one day, his brother was killed after a duel with a mysterious person. Kain carries his brothers deck around with him as a way of keeping his brother close. He dedicates his life to learning more about duelling so he can never lose anyone close to him ever again.
“Look, I’m just gonna put it how it is. You don’t stand a chance against me.”
“I find the bastard that killed my brother! That’s a promise.”
“So you wanna learn how to Synchro summon or not? I haven’t got all day.”
Tobi is a positive, upbeat and dorky boy who enjoys duelling, despite finding it boring when he was a kid. He preferred playing outside and causing trouble, which earned him a lot of attention from his classmates. After a new student arrives at his school with amazing duelling abilities, this made Tobi lose all of the attention, which he hated. Tobi learned how to duel so he could gain that attention back. This grew his love for duelling. One day, Tobi’s father passed away and so he gave Tobi a deck which he uses to make his father proud.
“I’m always up for a duel! Are you guys down?”
“Woh!! Your deck is awesome! But not as awesome as my Crystal Beasts!”
“Hey, what’s with the sad face? No ones allowed to be sad while I’m here. Smile, it looks good on you.”
About: Professor Collins is the schools teacher who pretty much hates his job... and people. However, he enjoys duelling which gives him the motivation to stay. He has a bit of a temper at times, which can be very humorous. The only time he smiles is when he gets some peace and quiet. He is very aware of Chancellor Romans plans, he just doesn’t care too much about it.

“Sometimes I regret taking this job!”
“Alright, everyone. Please settle down, I don’t have the time nor the patience for any of your bull crap today.”

About: Chancellor Roman is the principal of the school. He is determined, powerful and is presented as a kind-hearted man... although in reality, he is very serious. He is the one who brought the students to Duel Academy in order to protect the school and the world from danger.

About: Miss Hinata is the school nurse who is kind and considerate towards everyone. Many of the students have a crush on her and they sometimes pretend to be sick just to see her. Like Professor Collins, she is aware of the Chancellors plans.
