Project Overview
Introduction
Welcome to my fandub for the game Dragon Quest 2 or Dragon Warriors as some may be more familiar with it by. I am on a mission to do fandub videos of some older game series' that were never voice acted that will be released on a new YouTube channel I am starting for this. This is going to be in video format and not an actual playable version of the game.
What I'm Looking For
Due to this and future projects like this being fandubs, unfortunately I am not able to offer monetary compensation due to copyright. Although it is unpaid though I would like to still have a level of professionalism and quality to the project. So I will be looking for people with:
- Good quality microphone, preferably XLR but if you have a USB mic do not let that deter you from auditioning since it is the sound quality I'm looking for and that's still definitely achievable with some USB mics.
- Little to no background noise, reverb or echo. Some we can definitely work with but if there is too much of any of these it greatly takes away from the quality of the audio and can be very jarring to listen to when mixed in with other audio.
- Discord is definitely preferred but not mandatory by any means but will make things much easier to work on the project as a whole.
- A good attitude! I'm hoping to form a great group of people to continue working with me on these projects going forward and that is obviously much easier if you can get along well with me and the rest of the team!
Parts
Some of the projects I will be listing may not have a huge amount of big roles as older games like this, a lot of them weren't as story driven. However because I am wanting to fully dub the dialogue in the game, there will be a lot of NPC's that will be needing voices. So I will be listing extra roles which may not seem like much but they will be for a large selection of characters throughout the game, so there will be a decent amount of lines for them as well!
If you would like any feedback regarding your audition as well please let me know when you post it and I'll be happy to give feedback to anyone wanting some asap!

The King of Midenhall is the father of the main hero of the game. He rules over the largest area of the world and is a strong and wise leader. He is unable to go fight due to his age however and sends his son in his place.
The heroes visit him quite a few times throughout the game and he is a big part of the closing scene of the game, so he is a rather important role.
Age is not a huge deal whether he is middle aged or older, as long as he does not sound super young. He is the oldest of the Kings however.

The King of Moonbrooke is the father of one of the 3 heroes. The game starts out with his castle being attacked and he dies defending his people. He does however return as a spirit multiple times throughout the game.
The role does require someone who can portray emotion well as some of his scenes are quite emotional. He ranges from rage, panic, distraught and overjoyed.

King of Cannock is one of the 3 heroes father. He is the least seen out of the 3 main kings and is a much less demanding role, however he is still an important character.
Age is not a huge deal for him as long as he doesn't sound super young.

Once again the descendants of the hero Erdrick have combined their power, and returned peace to the world.
Rubiss is the Goddess of the earth, and although she was mentioned in the previous game, does not actually appear till this one.
The heroes speak to Rubiss on multiple occasions and she serves as a guide to help quell the evil.
For her voice I would like something more ethereal sounding but also with some character, as she isn't just a boring plain Goddess necessarily either.
Who is it that called me?
I am the spirit of this great land, Rubiss.
Let me grant you my protection.
Some day, when you are disoriented and tricked by evil illusions, use this.
Without fail, I will assist you.

There are a selection of different monsters throughout the game that we will require a variety of different action noises for. Most of them won't have actual lines but will need a variety of attacking and defense sounds.
Because there are such an assortment, we are going to post this as one but will be choosing a couple different people.
This folder has pictures of all of the different monsters in the game for reference. Feel free to choose specific ones or just show off the range of voices you can do. If you do pick any specific ones to do though please let us know which one!

Malroth is the surprise final boss of the game. He has been controlling things the entire time.
He does not have any actual lines but being the final boss I would like for someone to be able to bring the monster to life even with just mainly attacks and reaction sounds.

Don Mahone is an old man who has retired to a small village. He doesn't want anything to do with anyone else for the most part, but he eventually ends up with a renewed sense of excitement. He ends up creating an ultimate garment for the heroine.
I’m in retirement in this village.

Ryu is the Dragonlord from the first games, great grandson. He however does not have the evil streak that his grandfather had and actually ends up helping the heroes by giving them some valuable information.
Just have fun with his voice. He's not actually evil but he still puts on that front to an extent.
I am the great-grandson of the Dragonlord, the King of Kings.
I heard recently that the person called Hargon has grown to an enormous size.
It also seems that his face has become horribly grotesque.
Indeed that is unpleasant.

The King of Osterfair definitely has the most unique character out of all the Kings. He put it bluntly, he's a bit of a creep. He's always surrounded by bunny girls flaunting all over him, and he spends his time making travelers fight monsters in his courtyard for sport. He only respects the strong as well.
Since it doesn't exactly give any kind of age range for him, and due to his character, I am open to interpretation. The picture should give a bit of reference though. The biggest thing is I want the character to come through in this unique character.

There are 2 bunny girls in this game that are always with the King of Osterfair as well as one other one. They are very flirty and a bit seductive as well.

The sister of the one of the heroes. She doesn't have any confidence in her brother at the beginning but is willing to swallow her pride and admit she was wrong in the end. They have a typical brother/sister relationship as far as picking on each other.

They appear as a mini boss throughout the game. There is actually 2 of them but I would like to cast the same person for them both if you can do just slightly different voices, whether it's just a bit different pitch or tone or just the energy with it. They are portrayed like twins so I would like them to be close though.

There are a only a couple dogs in this game but they both play fairly important roles. The Princess of Moonbrooke, who becomes one of the heroes starts the story off under a spell, transformed into a dog.

The evil priest Hargon lives deep inside Rhone, surrounded by mountains.
Only the person in possession of the Eye of Malroth can open the path to Rhone.

Various different ages of soldiers. There is no specific ranking for the soldiers in this game so we would like a range from younger and more eager sounding guards to more mature and dignified or serious soldiers.
We will be picking a few people due to the volume of soldiers in the game but the ability to do various voices is definitely preferred since each person will still be doing numerous soldiers.

The gremlins are just a normal enemy at parts of the game but there are also a couple mini boss type fights that are specifically gremlins so I decided to list them as their own role. They also are one of the only monsters with actual lines other then fighting sounds.
No particular sound that we have in mind for them, be creative with it!

Mariella is a small part in an illusion near the end of the game. She is a dancer girl and made out to be more on the seductive and flirty side.
