Metalcore album inspired by BMTH (POST HUMAN series)
Project Overview
Hey there, my name is Kris. I'm 22, and I'm non-binary - going by They/Them. I currently make music online under the name 'PRYZM.' For the past like 9+ years, I've been making almost exclusively electronic/EDM music, mostly inspired by video games and other media I happen to like. However, lately I've been wanting a change of pace.
I became really inspired after hearing Bring Me The Horizon's latest (main) album, 'POST HUMAN: Nex Gen':

To be blunt, I fucking love this album and the whole hyperpop and electronic music combined with heavy metalcore vibe, and ever since I wanted to try my hand at making this kind of stuff while also (hopefully) putting my own spin on it, because I would love to see more of this kind of music out there, and I haven't quite heard anything that scratched that same itch for me (the Architects did come close in their latest album, though!)
Here's my dilemma, I spent the past year or so learning all about metalcore and how to produce that kind of music, and I think I've gotten to the point where I can make some really good instrumentals in that style, but I can't sing or write for shit, and my guitar skills are rusty at best.
I'm looking for people who also happen to love this style of music to help with the vocals side of things and to help translate some of the virtual instruments in some of these songs into actual recordings. I have actually toyed with the idea of forming a separate band to make this kind of stuff under - I think we should wait and see how this album goes first before thinking about anything like that haha, but it's definitely something to keep in mind because if all goes well, I'd really love to be able to continue making this kind of music.
It's worth noting that this would be an unpaid/hobby project, but I'm sure that was kind of expected. What I will say though is that I do plan on fully splitting any of the streaming revenue between all parties equally - I don't make a lot of money on Spotify, but I do have a decent-ish following (1.7k Subscribers on YouTube as of writing this) and my most played song earned me about 500-600$ last I checked.
So, the TL;DR here is that I want to make a metalcore album inspired by artists like Bring Me The Horizon, the Architects, I Prevail, etc. And I'm here to hopefully recruit some people onto the project.

This is a role which, I'll admit, might not be strictly necessary but would still be nice to have. A lot of the drums in the album are acoustic drums that are enhanced with electronic elements or electronic drums, but there is still the underlying acoustic drum layer which I think would be enhanced if they were an actual performance. I'm kinda going for that sort of Zakk Cervini type of drum sound, especially heard in albums like POST HUMAN: Nex Gen and a lot of modern metalcore like the Architects.
Please provide a demo somewhere of your playing when you audition if possible.
