Dine & Dash - An animated pilot
Project Overview

This casting call is for our upcoming animated pilot "Dine & Dash". The 25 minute pilot will be animated by the two of us, with much help from freelancers. However, for this project, we will only be asking for voice actors! Should the project be picked up, we have a season outline covering 9 continuing episodes. We are currently in talks with two local production studios about potentially picking up the series, as they very much like the script!
Below is a simple synopsis of the show's plot:
"Dine & Dash is a story about food trucks from around the world competing for the number one spot in the Fryway 500 - a legendary competition held every 25 years - where chefs, drivers, and busboys face off in a wacky race where competitors must reach the next location in time while simultaneously earning enough revenue from selling food to make it into the next bracket.
Looking for a summer job, self-proclaimed college "freshmore" Dylan Domino was perusing the "XY Times" when he spotted a job offer in the obituaries. A food truck known as the "Lucky Loaf" was hiring a new busboy and unbeknownst to him, this job would be his most exciting and stressful summer gig yet, as the "Lucky Loaf" would compete in the Fryway 500 the very next day. "
The following are audition requirements:
-We will often use parentheses for guidance in how we expect the audition lines to be read. Each use of parentheses will apply to the following sentence unless specified otherwise.
-Please repeat each line two times in the ABC ABC format. Please add some variation between the first and second take.
-Please have good microphone quality and an acceptable recording environment
-Please have Discord, we'll add successful auditionees to a server.
-Please be 16+

Dylan Domino is a 21 year old kid who's coasted the entirety of his life. He's currently a "freshmore", defined by him as someone taking their first and second year of college simultaneously. Dylan Domino is a good man at heart, but a bit timid and still wet behind the ears in most fields.
The intended accent for Dylan is a normal Midwest American accent.
Dylan should sound somewhat timid and unsure of himself.

I swear, when that lady pressed 100% instead of 10% for her tip... Billy grinned till his lips bled...
Billy Cadelluci is the cook, owner, and sole shareholder of the Lucky Loaf food truck.
He graduated from the South New Hampshire Online Culinary School and Dry Cleaners (SNHOCSAD) at the bottom of his class. After an unsuccessful career as a dry cleaner, he went back to study the culinary arts. 25 years ago, after graduating with his new degree, Billy's uncle had decided to enlist his help as the busboy of the newly founded Lucky Loaf food truck. They had competed with almost record-breaking numbers, coming in first place at every checkpoint. However, their skills could only take them so far, thanks to their rivals, the Weiner Wagon, who planted expired sourdough bread in their truck. When Health Inspector Gary Gonnagan was tipped off about this, the Lucky Loaf had no choice but to withdraw from the race.
Now 25 years later, with the help of Dylan, the new busboy, and Reggie, his godchild and driver, Billy hopes to redeem both the Lucky Loaf and his Uncle's name.
Billy should have a raspy and deep voice.
Billy should have a prominent New York/Boston/New Jersey Italian-American accent.

I told the bartender to surprise me and he showed me a naked picture of my wife! (guttural cough)
Alright, the cook - guess what - cooks! The driver, guess what - drives! And the bus boy? (Said with increasing vigour and intensity nearing the end.) The bus boy mans the damn cannons!
Reggie Rockaway is a 12-year-old boy from the UK. He had been shipped off after his parents decided he needed some "real-life" experience instead of "bumming around the house". After hearing the news from his distant relatives, Reggie's godfather, Billy, had decided to take him under his wing as the official Lucky Loaf truck driver.
Reggie should have a general British accent from any region.
Reggie's voice should be slightly shrill and high-pitched, and he should be played by someone with a female-sounding voice.
Dylan, let ME let YOU in on a little... secret. We call it the perpetual ham. Same slab Mr. Cadelluci's uncle used to use, now, I don't think there's any pig left on this thing, but the mould gives it a refined taste. My biology teacher tells me that's how penicillin was made!
Well... Billy's actually my godfather but he still insists on me calling him (Emphasis on Mr.)Mr. Cadelluci...
(Screamed with increasing intensity and anger nearing the end) These people think they own the GOD DAMN ROAD!
Gary Gonnagan is a thrice-divorced, twice-married 75-year-old man and the only health inspector licensed in 49 states. He was born on the day of the first Fryway 500, and an instinctual sense of hatred was thus borne out of him since. He believes the only good food is a still food. And that food should only be eaten inside of an establishment with at least 50 square feet and an attached toilet.
The intended accent for Gary is a normal Midwest American accent, but we are open to hearing others.
Gary's voice should be nasally, but not overbearingly so. He should sound confident in himself.
Food wasn't meant to go that fast! It's.. (Said with disgust.) unnatural...

(In a sing-song voice.) Youuuu don't beloooong here!
Yvrax is not a character we are at liberty to give details on at the current moment.
Yvrax should have a general British accent from any region and can be played by any gender.
Yvrax should have a low guttural voice and should speak with a snake-like cadence.

Jebediah Freaks is the owner and cook of the Weiner Wagon. He had inherited the truck from his Father after they had won the previous Fryway 500, while he was still the busboy, 25 years ago. Now he's back for seconds, for the 2nd trophy to add to the Weiner Wagon's collection, the Golden Wheel Plate. Jebediah is a gluttonous man. He hungers for victory and attention the same way he hungers for a glizzy.
His family's hatred for sandwiches is generational. They believe that sandwiches are an affront to the Hot Dog's name, and whenever someone refers to them as such, a chill of rage runs down their spine. Naturally, when they had discovered that one of their competitors in the previous Fryway 500 was a sandwich truck, they had to be eliminated.
Jebediah should sound overweight and have a deep voice.
Jebediah should have a New Orelans/Creole accent.

We could tell the people they're only eating 2 grams of protein in each hot dog or.... we could say they're eating TWO MILLION MICROGRAMS of protein.
