Devilman Mangabridged
Project Overview
Devilman Mangabridged is an abridged series covering the original Devilman manga from the 1970s, by Go Nagi. Devilman is a series I have been quite the fan of since 2014, especially it's original manga. It makes me happy to see it growing in popularity in 2018, with the newest adaptation Crybaby, and the publishing of it's various manga. What I am going for here, is the same as what I go for with the JJBA Mangabridged. Creating a satirical/ comedic re imagining of the source material, and poking fun, and referencing various things within the franchise. Due to running the JJBA Mangabridged, as well as A Golden Kamuy Manga Fandub (Second casting call coming soon). I am limiting this series to roughly about 5 episodes at the least. Each episode will cover one volume of the manga. I currently have the roles of Ryo Asuka, Akira and Miki's dad's and Psycho Jenny casted. All I need left are the roles shown below. I will be censoring the crazy amounts of nudity within the series to make it suitable for posting on Youtube. I look forward to all your auditions and I looking forward to working on this side project.

I will extend the date a bit tomorrow.
We only have two male roles left with auditions. But a bunch of the female roles with none. So tomorrow i'll cast the male characters remaining and extend the casting call till the 25th for the female roles. If you could spread around the casting call, and specify that we are still in need of female voice actors, I would appreciate it. -

Akira Fudo is a teenage boy who is a bit of a coward, he wishes not to involve himself in fights and would rather run away. He also is known to cry a lot. One day Akira meets with his friend Ryo Asuka. Who informs him of the existence of demons. After seeing the proof for himself, he agrees to help fight them. Akira is then possessed by the demon Amon. After that, he becomes Devilman, and his whole personality changes. Akira now loves to fight, and becomes a snarky tough guy. But the true Akira is still somewhere in him, he still cares for those he loves. In his Devilman form, he has amazing strength, can fly, can shoot lasers/fire, and can also use his eyebrows as tentacles.
Voice wise:
Akira pre possession, is rather whiny, a bit like Morty if he was pitched down, he has a relatively medium voice, not too high, but not too low.
Akira post possession, is the same voice but his attitude is different, he talks really raspally and like a punk, but keeps his medium voice, during emotional moments, he slips back into his pre possession voice.
Devilman, sounds like a complete beast. He has a lower medium voice, this time sounding deeper. He talks very animal like, he growls a lot, letting his animal nature take him. His yells are powerful and very intimidating.
(Akira pre possession) Oh uh...I don't know Miki. I'm not much of a fighter...
(Akira post possession) Heh! Fightin, god do I love fighting! The thrill it gives to get punched in the jaw,GOD IT'S EXHILARATING!
(in his Devilman form) Amon?.....No...I am not Amon...I AM, DEVILMAN!!! *ROAR* YOUUUU, YOU CALL YOURSELVES HUMAN!? I SACRIFICED MY HUMANITY TO SAVE CREATURES LIKE YOU!? BECAME A BEAST,...FOR YOU!!??? YOU CALL YOURSELVES HUMANS, BUT FROM WHERE I STAND, YOU ARE THE TRUE DEMONS!!!.....YOU...YOU CAN BURN IN HEEEEEEELLLLL!!!!!

Miki Makiura is a teenage girl who is very close to Akira. Her family allow him to live with them because of the history their two families share. Miki has a very tough personality. She loves to mess with bullies and people who think highly of themselves. She finds confidence attractive in people, so once Akira is possessed, she begins to crush on him a bit. A difference in our version is her character stays the same through out. As originally she just turns into a fangirl after vol 1. She always itching for a fight. and isnt afraid to kill someone if she had to.
Miki's voice is rather normal, but in times of fighting she has a more cocky tone. She is also very sarcastic.
HAH! You wanna go toe to toe with me? I'd say I would admire you, but there's no point admiring the dead!

Sirene or silene as she is also called, is a demon warrior with the appearance of a bird. She can fly very fast, and very high. She is also able to detach her talons and use them additional weapons. She is a very spiteful person. She hates Amon with every part of her. And wants nothing but his death.
Her voice is rather raspy. She also speaks with a high and mighty attitude.
AMON! FIGHT ME!! FINISH WHAT YOU AND I STARTED, ALL THOSE THOUSANDS OF YEARS AGO!!!
Heh heh heh, foolish Amon. You've become weaker fusing with that human! AT LAST, I HAVE THE UPPER HAND!

JinMan voice is rather raspy like 1st form cell from dbz's dub. He speaks very self righteously.

Zennon is one of the devils right hand men, alongside Psycho Jenny. He and her have very differing ideas on how to go about their tactics. He would prefer to go fully in, while she would think tactically. He is very bold and abrasive. But is horribly terrified of Jenny. Losing all confidence he has when she shows the smallest sign of anger towards him.
Zennon has 4 faces, but you don't have to record 4 different voices, you can , but arent forced to, You may edit your voice with this audition.
His voice is very deep and nightmarish. But sounds awkward during moments where he is afraid.

Though after Akiras possession, he starts to befriend the two after saving his life. He soon becomes a great ally to Akira, one so great that Akira trusts him enough with his biggest secret.
Dosu has a typical biker gang type of punk voice.

Mikiko is a another person also fused with a demon. She attends a different high school, and feels cursed to have a body like she does. Her demon form is constant, and can't be turned on or off. Her body is scaly and has orifice's on it , that shoot acid. It can melt anything including people. She feels very alone, and scared by her body. She is anti social because of it.
Her voice sounds very sad most of the time.
