About the project:
This animated short is a passion project of mine. I am not a trained animator and have never been to art school but I am enthusiastic about creating something. Best case scenario, I will be able to enter this to a short film festival or animation film festival. But this is a long shot. It will probably live on the internet somewhere. I hope I can finish this short in the first quarter of 2018. (Animating is hard and time-consuming.)
Requirements:
You do not need to be a professional voice actor, but please submit good quality audio. The story starts out with a commercial for a Designer Baby Clinic that should be a bit unsetteling to the audience. Then the story compeletly shifts into a fast-paced sitcom style comedy. I think the lines require some comedic timing. The characters are all caricatures of demanding parents, but I would still prefer realistic voices rather than over the top cartoony voice acting. Please have a look at the test clips to get a better idea about the characters.
About the short:
The short is about parents going to a Designer Baby Clinic to order their perfect baby. The story is not a comment on the topic of Designer Babies but rather uses the topic as a vehicle to have a critical look on our achievement-oriented society, which makes anyone who hasn't learned three languages, travelled to every continent and started their own business by the age of 25 feel like a failure.
Payment:
Payment is calculated by "NumberOfLines x 1 $ + 5 $". So e.g. for a number of 11 lines the payment is 16 $. I know that it's not much and I apologize that I cannot offer more. But this is just a hobby and I am not expecting any revenue. I will be using Paypal to pay you.
Important note: I am not a native English speaker. So if any dialogue does not sound natural, please tell me.
