Project Overview
Our title is still pending, as the game is in the early stages of development.
Synopsis: Step into a world where Demons have been banished to an eternal life in the underworld by a human army led by famed mage and legendary hero, Ingrid Corvus. Play as Titania, a mage who stumbles upon the secret art of black magic from her ancestor's hidden notes/journal. She summons the Prince of Demons, Asmodeus, with her newfound power in hopes of learning more about Ingrid, the demon war, and black magic. But it all goes downhill when she finds the demon uncooperative and her quest for knowledge becomes a quest to get the grumpy Asmodeus (by his request) banished back to the underworld.
And of course, there can be love along the way if you'd like it!

Please note:
There are 4 characters up for audition. Titania (MC), Asmodeus (Love Interest), Demon of Wrath and Ingrid the Great. We aim to tell an epic fantasy story and as such will have dark themes present. There will be mentions of torture, death, sacrifice, suicide, brutal warfare, and more. Audition only if you're comfortable with this.
As this game is for nanoreno (a game jam), the positions are unpaid. The game will remain free to play however. If cast, actors for major roles will be required to complete up to 30 lines (a mix of longer lines, quips, and reactions). Minor roles can have up to ten lines.
Auditions will close on March 10th. You will be contacted by the end of that week if you've been cast. Then, lines will be sent out on March 15th (or the weekend leading up to that day). You are expected to get your lines in no later than March 27th.

Titania is in her late twenties/early thirties. She's teaches minor magic to teenage students and hates it. She wants to study more powerful magic and gets really excited when her spells work out. She can also be very stubborn and wants to do things her way. She can be very unwavering in this sense and is very strong willed and independent.
There will be a lot of bickering between her and Asmodeus, until eventually the two soften up to each other (depending on your choices!)
We have no set voice range in mind for her, so we're open to any tone. We'll mainly be looking at the delivery of the lines to see if you capture her energy. We only ask that you have fun with the audition!

“...come on! I did exactly what the spell entails! Heart of an animal, human blood, crimson powder and the incantation. Why isn't it working? What did I miss?” (Slightly frustrated, a little nervous about getting the spell done properly)
“Then die in this cathedral, you selfish jerk. I won’t hear any more of your nonsense and without so much as a shred of proof. You’re a demon and it’s common knowledge not to trust one!” (Angry, arguing with Asmodeus)
"I, Titania of House Corvus, have summoned a demon from the underworld. My power is unmatched!" (Titania is feeling herself right here. She's a bit too proud and thinks she may very well be the best mage out there)
Asmodeus is a demon who has roamed the earth with humans until he was banished to the underworld. He hates humans because of it, but he hates the Corvus family most of all for leading the charge. When he is brought to the human world he wants nothing but to go back and not have to deal with them again. A lot of his lines are based in contempt/disdain, but Asmodeus also has a bit of an aloof side. He likes to lounge about, and because he has so much time on his hands (being immortal) he will do things in a difficult way just to amuse himself. He sometimes isn't able to take human capabilities into perspective, though he truly means no harm to anyone. (He's the main love interest)
He has a soft caring side that he masks with his formal tone and cold attitude.
Voice Range: Mid to deep, but more on the deeper end!

"Let us complete your quest so I can destroy our bond and go back to the depths of hell. Even that would be better than listening to this nonsense you’re spewing. So, what have you? Why bring me to forsaken place?" (Disdain, he really dislikes humans, so the fact that a human girl brought him to her world fills him with contempt.)
"You are a powerful black mage, yes? So, Corvus, let’s see it.” (This line is mocking Titania. He hates her family for the part they played in the demon war, and he thinks its funny that this human girl acts so mighty but her power is nothing compared to that of a demon's. He says it with contempt, but there's also some amusement in his tone. He thinks she's a joke and enjoys toying with her)
"Your eyes light up when you make a discovery just like hers used to." (a mix of nostalgia, admiration and disgust. He's comparing Titania to her ancestor whom he once cared deeply for. But she betrayed him and so now, it pains him that Titania is so much like her.)
This is a minor role. Looking for a really deep booming voice. Most of your lines will be fueled by anger and a want for revenge.
The Demon of Wrath hates all humans and is prepared to serve his judgement.
"You foolish mortal, do you really think a demon is capable of loving a human like yourself?" (mocking)
"Who dares wake me from my slumber!" (Loud, booming)
"You will pay for the sins of your ancestors." (Extreme disgust and disdain, some rage)
Ingrid is Titania's ancestor. Though deceased, her lines will appear as flashbacks to the past. She's very focused on gaining power above all else, the end certainly justifying the means. BVery inquisitive and thorough in her studies. Can be sultry and charming to get what she wants.
Ingrid has a mid range to deeper voice. She should sound more mature.
"We are House Corvus and our power is unmatched!" (Commanding an army of mages into battle)
"You shall face my wrath, demon scum!” (Angry/fighting)
"With this spell, I'll finally be recognized as the greatest enchanter of my house." (Hopeful and ambitious)
