Wilfric the Legionnaire: a Skyrim Follower [Male] [Paid Work]

Wilfric the Legionnaire: a Skyrim Follower [Male] [Paid Work]

Project Overview

Project Overview

I'm currently looking to cast someone capable of doing a deep, adult male voice for a Skyrim follower mod. The character 'Wilfric' [VIL-FRIC] is in their 30s, and is a soldier in the Imperial Legion. Born and raised in Wayrest along with nobility, the ideal actor would be capable of doing a slight English accent to connote his background. Wilfric speaks in a relaxed tone, but candidates should be capable of delivering lines in different contexts, from  neutral/conversational to aggressive/loud in tone for combat lines.

The project right now totals at about 4,000 words, with about 1,000 or so more planned for the future. The plan is to make Wilfric not only location aware, but also be able to react to different quests and companions. Please note that because this is a voiceover project for a game, you may need to do retakes of some lines.  I'm willing to compensate your for your work at around 80 EUR/ 90 USD. I'm willing to negotiate, but because I'm a student on minimum wage, there is a budget ceiling here. Additionally, and on a less serious note, because this is a side project I'm working on deadlines aren't exactly strict. So you can expect a somewhat relaxed experience working with me.

Please ensure that your auditions don't include:

Echoing

Audio Artifacts

Excessive White Noise

Background Noise

Distortion

If you don't have a very deep voice but are still interested in auditioning, I'm willing to see what you have.  Pitch editing of auditions is allowed, but make sure that it sounds believable and not distorted if you're planning on doing so. If you have any questions about the character, feel free to message me here.

Latest Updates

  • Compensation Update

Hi all, Apologies to those who left me comments/DMs over the week. I've been doing work for college on top of finalising the script. The word count has been raised to 6200, and the pay has risen to 120 EUR / 130 Dollars to reflect the increase in words. Due to the number of auditions, I'll only be getting back to the person I've selected for the role. I'll be closing off auditions on Friday and will be making my choice over the weekend.
  • Auditions - Day One

Hey all. To any following this project, I just wanted to let you guys know I'll be listening to all the submitted auditions that were sent out today. Since this casting call is pretty fresh, I'll leave it for a few days before I start shortlisting people. Needless to say all the work I've received so far has been great. I'll post another update as soon as I've listened to everyone's auditions. Thanks again for taking an interest!

Wilfric VIL-FRIC is a battle-tested solder in his late 30s. Because he was raised in the city of Wayrest, he has a slight (english accent), though it's not as pronounced as it used to be. Actors auditioning for this role should be able to work in different ranges as it demands not only conversational dialogue, but will also include combat 'taunts.' Accent work is not strictly required, but it is preferred.

  • Hail, friend. I don’t suppose you’re in need of a travelling companion, are you?

  • My name is [VIL-FRIC], I’m a soldier in the Imperial Legion. Technically speaking a ‘decorated war hero.’ But soldier will do just fine.

  • (Hah should be read more like an audible, amused breath) Hah, you wouldn’t be the first person to tell me that. Truth be told I joined the Legion because I had to, not because I wanted to serve the Empire.
