Days of My Life - All Future Characters (Canon and Original)
Project Overview
Days of My Life is a fan-made audio drama on YouTube that focuses on Sunset Shimmer after the events of the Fall Formal. She bonds with each of the Human Five and opens up to them about her past in Equestria, allowing them to understand exactly why and how Sunset turned into the bully they defeated. Although Sunset Shimmer is determined to change for the better, some students just can't get over their mistrust and hatred of her--and it causes one teenage girl to fall into the same cycle as hatred that Sunset Shimmer did so long ago.
Rules
No background noise please. I want to hear YOU and your acting ability, not whatever is going on in the background. You don’t need a professional microphone set up to audition, but please record in a quiet room.
2) If auditioning for Star Charge or Pearl Aura, you do not have to audition for both singing and speaking parts.
3) If auditioning for Star Charge, you can chose whether to audition for him as a child or as a teenager.
4) I will only be accepting auditions that are in a .mp3 or .wav format. I will NOT accept video files. I will also accept auditions from Casting Call Club and auditions from YouTube, but you MUST be able to send auditions in a .mp3 format or .wav format for the final project.
5) Put everything into your audition! Some of these characters may be canon characters, but I will mainly look at your acting ability. Really show the emotion in the character - I am looking for good acting over an imitation of the character voice. For original characters, I’m looking for good acting ability and a fitting voice.
6) Please leave at least three seconds of silence before you say your audition lines. This will help give me an idea of how much background noise you have, the quality of your microphone and how much noise removal I will have to do.
7) You must have at least one of these ways of contact:
- an email
- a Skype account
- Casting Call Club account
or
- Google hangouts
They are the easiest ways for me to contact the you if you are accepted.
8) Due to how many characters are open, the deadline will be May 6th 2018, 12:00am (Sunday going into Monday). I'll update the deadline on Casting Call Club every month to allow as many people as possible to audition.

Name: Radiance
Age: mid twenties to early thirties
Gender: Female
Radiance appears in episode four and episode seventeen of Days of My Life.
Radiance is Sunset Shimmer's mother. She appears in Sunset's flashback in Episode 4. Originally, Radiance was very excited about having a foal, although this changed when Sunset was born and she was a unicorn. Radiance is quite a traditional and uptight pony - she dislikes traditions being broken and due to this, she reprimands Sunset whenever she uses magic to complete chores or tasks. She frequently tells Sunset Shimmer to hide her magical talent, and does not originally approve of Sunset going to Celestia’s School for Gifted Unicorns, although she begrudgingly allows her to go. She has quite a snooty/snobbish tone to her voice.
(in offence): Well of course my foal is going to help out in the community! Just watch, my foal will be the greatest earth pony ever born! If I have a colt, he’ll be the strongest stallion here, and if I have a filly, she’ll grow up to be a farmhand’s loyal wife!
(angrily): Sunset Shimmer! What have I told you? Using magic to help you with your chores is not allowed!
(lovingly): Oh my little Star… How I love you so…
Name: Blaze
Age: mid twenties to early thirties
Gender: Male
Blaze appears in episode four and episode seventeen of Days of My Life.
Blaze is Sunset Shimmer's father. He appears in Sunset's flashback in Episode 4. Like his wife, he is also very traditional and is very stern. He's very strict with Sunset Shimmer and her use of magic, so much so he usually demands her not to use her magic. He favours his earth-pony son to his unicorn daughter. He is not supportive of Sunset going to Celestia’s School for Gifted Unicorns, and only allows her to go because it means he can spend more time with his son.
Blaze (playfully flirting): If we have a filly, she’ll be just as beautiful as you, my dear.
Blaze (angrily): Sunset Shimmer! What did I tell you?! Never, never use your magic while in my home!
Blaze (in shock): What do you mean, she’s a unicorn? How can she be a unicorn?!
Name: Star Charge
Age: 8 (during flashback)
13 (during ending song and later episodes)
Gender: Male
Star Charge will appear in episodes four, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen and seventeen of Days of My Life.
Star Charge is Sunset Shimmer's younger brother. He appears in Sunset's flashback in Episode 4. Star is the favoured child out of him and his sister, however he greatly looks up to Sunset Shimmer. He gets excited when Sunset uses her magic to show him tricks, even though this regularly results in his sister getting in trouble. Star is quite a calm, collected colt, although he can get scared easily if he or his sister is in trouble. During the episode four Flashback, Star Charge has quite a childish voice.
NOTE: Star will be singing in this audio drama. He will be singing two songs in this episode. You can either sing the following link (lyrics will be modified) or a song from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Star will also be singing an original song (a lullaby) in this episode. I am looking for singing ability and the ability to convey emotion through the songs.

Star (disappointed and worried): Do you really have to go, Sunset?
During the later episodes, Star Charge is now a teenager. He still misses his sister, and reluctantly joins forces with Marigold after she promises to reunite him with her sister. Star Charge has grown to be strong and confident, being much stronger than the average earth pony (due to Sunset's enchantment on his locket). Despite his confidence, Star Charge is still kind and caring, spending most of his time looking after the younger fillies and colts in the village he lives in.
Star (confused): You know my sister?
Star (begrudgingly): The only reason I'm helping you is to get my sister back. And you better promise me that no harm will come to Sunset in your plan!
Star (lovingly): Sunset! Don't listen to her! Of course I love you--Sunset, I've always loved you!
Name: Ruby Fire
Age: Mid twenties
Gender: Female
Ruby Fire will appear in episode four of Days of My Life.
Ruby is an earth pony mare from Sunset's country town. She's quite a gentle and compassionate mare. She is a friend of Radiance's, but she does not approve of the way Radiance treats her daughter. Ruby is a source of comfort for Sunset Shimmer and later becomes her guardian. Ruby is the mare who finds out about Celestia’s School for Gifted Unicorns and takes Sunset to Canterlot to enrol her into the school. Ruby is very kind and gentle, and has a soothing, gentle voice.
Ruby (softly; with compassion): What are you going to name the baby?
Ruby (excitedly): Oh my gosh, Radiance! She’s beautiful!
Ruby (comfortingly): Oh, Sunset Shimmer, it’s okay. You can talk to me.
Name: Pearl Aura
Age: Late twenties to early thirties
Gender: Female
Pearl Aura appears in episode four of Days of My Life.
Pearl is a unicorn teacher who works in Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns. She is quite uptight, posh and snobby. Pearl is the unicorn who tests Sunset Shimmer when she applies for Celestia's school. Pearl has a light blue coat and a white mane which is curled at the bottom. She has green eyes.
