Project Overview
Star Wars Audio Comics is beyond excited to announce that we will be continuing our Star Wars productions with the much requested Darth Vader: Dark Lord of the Sith series! SWAC has been producing critically acclaimed comic series similar to these for four years, especially Star Wars content. We are thrilled to include this story in our lineup!
How it Works:
Suffice it to say, we have mastered bringing to life comics over our four year run on YouTube. We pride ourselves on our company's quality in both visuals, sound effects, music, and the most important part: the voice actors. All productions start with a highly detailed and descriptive casting call. Our typical policy is we don't cast actors until the last day of the call so everyone has plenty of time to audition. Our CC's typically last 2-3 weeks. At the end of the CC process, the Series Director will make the casting decisions based on a variety of factors such as audio quality, performance, vocal range, talent, etc. Once the casting decisions have been made, we send a link for a private Discord server where you will find your scripts, submit your lines, and meet and mingle with your fellow castmates. Deadlines will be posted for line submissions to allow voice actors time to first takes and if requested, retakes. From there it is up to the Director to bring the video to life. Production time will be as airtight as possible, so please try to have your audio in as quickly as possible so production can begin.
The Synopsis:
The most fearsome villain of all time returns with an all-new series! When Anakin Skywalker fell, both to the pull of the dark side and to the blade of Obi-Wan Kenobi, he rose back up, more machine than man. Having lost everything that was once dear to him, the former chosen one must take his first steps into a darker world…as Darth Vader, Dark Lord of the Sith!

Ground rules:
- Please be able to get your lines in by the deadline posted by the director. Production time will be airtight!
- Have professional grade equipment or at the bare minimum make sure your audio is top notch. No background noise!
- Have a Discord or be able to create one. This allows for us to communicate and upload documents much easier than Skype or any other platform.

Kirak Infil'a is a Jedi master who left the temple years ago to take the Barash Vow, to focus exclusively on the Force, and not to interfere with the rest of the galaxy. Infil'a was determined to wait until he found his purpose in the Force, and when he sensed the death of the Jedi Order at the hands of the clone army, he knew what his purpose would be: to avenge their death. When Darth Vader arrives to defeat Infil'a and claim his lightsaber crystal, the elder battle master is prepared.
Infil'a's voice is open to interpretation, but he should sound strong and resilient. He shows up in two issues of this arc, and has 40 lines, paying a total of $14.00
“You will not defeat me that way, creature. You will not defeat me at all. Your use of the dark side confirms my suspicions - but let me ask again. Not long ago, through the Force, I felt the death of almost every Jedi. That darkness resonates within you. Did you do it? Did you kill them?”
“This mountain is called Passvaal. It is a sacred place, designed to test all Jedi who come here. The higher you go, the more demanding the challenges become. I will await you at the summit, beast. On the highest ground. Come. Seek me out."
“I know what you want. I know why you’re here. It’s not just to kill me. You came here to get something. I can sense it. You want my lightsaber. How did you end the Jedi? It seems impossible. You are weak. No. You could not have done it alone. There must be someone else. A master."
This droid serves as Vader's personal assistant aboard his ship and on certain missions. While Vader initially finds its questioning obnoxious, he eventually comes to appreciate how helpful it is. The comic gives no indication as to the droid's gender, so it's up to interpretation. The character has 19 lines in the first arc of the story, paying a total of $6.65.
“I am detecting that the ARC fighters have engaged weapons tracking systems. Master, with your permission I can transmit our authorization code and end this situation immediately.”
"if I ask a question, it is because I believe the answer will enhance my service. Potential responses to your query include over fourteen thousand Jedi since the founding of the Order. I can recite all available data on these Jedi. It will take several months. Or… you could clarify. Either is acceptable to me.”
“It is unlikely you have encountered him before. He has been on his pilgrimage since before you entered the Jedi temple.”
RX is a droid serving Jedi master Kirak Infil'a during his Barash Vow. When the Sith Lord Darth Vader arrives to execute the Jedi, RX serves as one of the many obstacles in Vader's path. Ultimately, the droid is torn apart and used to temporarily repair the Sith Lord's damaged cybernetics.
RX's voice is open to interpretation, but he should have a relatively calm demeanor. He has 13 lines in the series, paying a total of $4.55.
“Fighting while assembling four padawan’s traps at once, Master Infil’a? It seems ill-advised, even for you.”
“I have spent time with many Jedi here, over the years, and I would like to believe I have absorbed some small piece of their wisdom. With this in mind, please forgive me if I suggest your philosophy is overly simplistic. You have chosen a most difficult path indeed. It may lead to your death. The easy path, however, would allow you to live. Perhaps not as a Jedi, not openly, but-“
“My databanks indicate that Sith generally wield lightsabers with crimson blades - we have seen no evidence that he possesses such a weapon. But his abilities - and the way he chooses to use them - do suggest the dark side. I am sorry. I cannot say what he is. But I know he is dangerous. He will defeat the raptorans shortly. If you wish to bring down the bridge, the time is now.”
Mareena is a simple mechanic, who agreed years ago to safeguard the starfighter of Jedi master Kirak Infil'a. When Infil'a believes he has killed the Sith Lord Darth Vader, he returns to Mareena's shop to reclaim it, aiming to take on the fallen Sith's master, Darth Sidious.
Mareena's voice is open to interpretation. She has 10 lines in issue #4 of the comic, paying a total of $3.50.
“Master Infil’a! I… hmm. How long has it been?”
“Yeah… We, uh, heard about that. It’s why we weren’t sure if you were ever coming back. They said all the Jedi were traitors, but…”
“Okay - like I said, I’ll get right on it. But that… Sith, I think you said - he’s not coming after you, is he? He’s not coming here?”
Colli is Mareena's daughter. She's very friendly with Jedi master Kirak Infil'a, and impressed by his abilities with the Force. Colli should sound like a young girl, other than that, do whatever you'd like. She has 5 lines in issue #4, paying a total of $1.75.
“Yes, mama.”
“How do you do that? Those things are heavy. Even my father can’t lift them alone.”
“Is that the Sith?”
Jogg is Mareena's husband. When he hears Infil'a's arrival, he comes out to check that everything is okay. He has two lines, paying a total of $1.05.
“Everything okay out here? I heard voices.”
“Really? It’s been…”
Eighth Brother is a member of the Inquisitorius, the group of ex-Jedi trained by Darth Vader to hunt down survivors of Order 66. He plays a very minor role in this comic, with only one line in this arc, paying a total of $1.05. 'Masters? We have only one master. The Emperor."
A group of pirates steal Vader's ship before he can claim it, and he tracks them down to reclaim his property. There are three voiced pirates: one human, one aqualish, and one pau'an. The human and the pau'an can be voiced however you'd like, but the aqualish should have a guttural voice like Ponda Baba in A New Hope: https://youtu.be/d7rfcMNc8xk?t=78
Each role pays a total of $0.75.
Aqualish: “Would you look at that thing? What a beaut - just laying out there in the desert, too.”
Human: “We can probably sell it even if we can’t slice past the encryption. Should fetch more credits than we’ll see in a year of slaving.”
Pau'an: “Got him! I got hi-AIIEEEEE!”
Three security guards spot Darth Vader and Kirak Infil'a dueling atop a massive dam and attempt to stop them. All three are helmeted, so gender and voice are entirely open to interpretation. Each role pays a total of $1.05.
“Those were warning shots. Both of you… cease immediately!”
“This is critical city infrastructure! If you do not comply, we will be forced to-“ [choking] “Kkt!”
“Aaah!”
