Synopsis:
Who wouldn't love a free vacation? After all, working endlessly can be tiring. Relaxation is nice, but not when it's interrupted! Bashira Academy has sent a handful of students on a trip. All is well until they find out they have actually been kidnapped! Toshiro Uchiha finds himself trapped with 17 other students from the academy. This was supposed to be a 2 week long vacation, so what happened? It seems like they've been trapped inside the mansion and are being forced to participate in a killing game! Will Toshiro and the others escape this hell or will they cave in? What secrets will be found out? Find out in Danganronpa: Shadowed Gold!

Basic Info:
1. You should be at least 15+ to audition since Danganronpa has dark themes. While there is no nsfw, this ronpa contains dark themes. All of the characters are adults as well as the creators.
2. Discord will be the main way of communication, so it is required that you have it. Whenever you audition please put your discord so we can identify you once casting comes.
3. Microphone quality is important. It should be decent enough to be able to hear you. Minor background noise is okay, but static and talking should not be heard.
4. You are allowed to do your own take on the characters, no need to try and be as accurate as possible to the references provided. If you do this though, please try to stay in the same range.
Audition Rules and Info
1. Microphone quality is expected to be decent. It doesn’t need to be amazing, however there should be little to no background noise and we should be able to hear you.
2. We will not tolerate any bullying towards other people auditioning! Everyone is talented in their own way. If you harass anyone for how they sound that will result in an immediate ban in the discord and your audition will be rejected.
3. You do not have to sound like the actual character reference provided as long as you have their general tone, emotion, and personality down.
4. Representation is important to us. There are some characters with preferences attached, however you may still audition for them if you do not fit that group.
5. Whenever you submit an audition please have it as mp3 or wav file.
6. This is a non paid project and just for fun so please keep that in mind when auditioning!

Kurai Hatsumi (Coo-ra-eye Hat-sue-me) is the Ultimate Competitive Pokemon Player. He is known to be rather quiet and tends to keep to himself. Most of the time you will find him invested in his game boy he carries around, ignoring whenever people interact with him. His only interest is Pokemon, a game where he feels he can truly get away from the cruel reality of life. While he comes off as quiet he is actually the opposite at the topic of Pokemon itself. Kurai will continue to talk nonstop and share with people. He’s very passionate about his favorite game and wants to share a special bond with someone who’ll be able to love it just as he does. He makes references to the games, and is a little aggressive towards the anime. Whenever it comes to stating his opinion he isn’t afraid to get into arguments and tell people how things are, being very blunt.

Spade is one out of four members from the popular band Magical Moonlight. He is known as the Ultimate Drummer. Spade is an individual who is not afraid to tell others how it is and will openly express his thoughts. Most of the time, he will come off as rude as he tends to use a lot of foul language around people. It is very easy to annoy him, especially if you don’t listen. He loves getting himself into fights, even if he isn’t trying to. Despite all this though, all he wants are friends. It’s just hard for him due to his loud personality though. Social interactions aren’t exactly his strong suit.
If you are auditioning for this role you must be 18+ due to the amount of language and vocabulary he uses for safety purposes. Spade’s voice is medium-low range and always sounds angry. He shouts a lot and will always be emotional in scenarios. Spade is also a singer so please try and include that if possible. A good example would be Saizo from Fire Emblem Fates or Purple Yam Cookie. You are allowed to do your own interpretation, we’d much rather prefer hearing you and not a voice impression.

(Defensive, angry) “How do I feel about him? Why the fuck would you bring that shit head up to me!? He has nothing to do with this! Ugh, everywhere I go that asshole always has to follow.”
Kira Kurosaki (Key-rah Coo-row-saw-key) is known as the Ultimate Landscape Artist. He takes his job as an artist seriously and will do anything to make sure his work is perfect. This makes him a bit of a perfectionist though which makes it hard for him to complete pieces. Whenever he needs inspiration he’ll often go outside and relax. Outside of work though he is a different person who loves to play pranks on people he feels close to for his own amusement. It is hard for him to separate work from personal life sometimes though which results in conflict. Kira tends to be a bit of a flirt whenever he is in work mode, so bringing it to his personal life creates issues. He always states that humans are truly beautiful. He’s a bit of a smooth talker and flirt which can either attract people or creep them out.
Kira is someone who has a lot of emotion so we’ll be looking for a person who’ll be able to properly portray that. His voice has a medium-low range. He is typically calm, however whenever he is not in his work mode he can get a bit out of hand by being a tease and acting eccentric. A good example for his voice would be Yusuke Kitagawa (whenever he’s passionate) or Shoto Todorki (more energetic). You are allowed to do your own interpretation, we’d much rather prefer hearing you and not a voice impression.
(Mischievous to neutral) “What do we have here? A handsome young man right in front of me? How about a little kiss~? I’m just kidding. The name is Kira Kurosaki, it’s a pleasure.”

Harada Jito (Ha-rah-dah Gee-toe) is known as the Ultimate Stenographer. People mistake him as a judge, however he is not quite there yet. He is a very strict person who follows the rules no matter what. Harada does not show that much emotion to people and often keeps them locked up. He believes that you can’t prove anything without evidence and will always look at the truth. As a very factual person, he will never take anyone’s word right off the bat. Law and order will always come first to him.
Harada is someone who comes off as emotionless and always serious in situations. He has a more mature and deep voice. A good example can be found from Kinro from Dr. Stone (JP VA). You are allowed to do your own interpretation, we’d much rather prefer hearing you and not a voice impression. Representation is important to us so it is heavily preferred that his va is POC, please state if you are whenever you audition for him. It is not a requirement though.
(Neutral) “Even though this isn’t an official trial, I would like to still conduct it as if it were so, please do not mind me, I will merely be writing everything down.”
(Angry) “You need evidence! Without it I’m considering this line of questioning as badgering one of our witnesses.”
(Happy, but embarrassed) “Well, I, uh, thank you, I know everyone can think of me as stuck up and a joy killer, but I’m glad you're not swayed by that.”
Iromeku Kihoshita (E-row-mech-oo Ke-ho-she-ta) is known as the Ultimate Fireworks Maker. He is a rather energetic person who tends to accidentally ignore others. He’s very social and wants to get along with everyone, even the problematic people he views as a challenge. Iromeku is very intelligent and knows more than what he lets on, however he’s confused easily. This is something he’s very self aware about. If you’re not careful he can get easily set off and become rather hot headed. He gets really emotional and can switch on a dime. Iromeku is aware that this is a problem, he just doesn't know how to solve it and it infuriates him even more into an endless cycle.
Iromeku is extremely emotional and friendly. Whenever it comes to recording for him we know you’ll be tempted to scream your lines, but please don’t. His voice is energetic with a little bit of a country accent. Whenever he gets nervous and angry his accent becomes heavier. Please do not over exaggerate it like Teruteru though.. Representation is important to us so it is heavily preferred that his va is trans, please state if you are whenever you audition for him. It is not a requirement though.
(Happy) “Yo! Sup the name’s Iromeku, please call me that instead of what’s on my record.”
(Panicked) “I, uh, well the thing is, I- that’s not fair! I, uhm, the reason is, ah! Stop looking at me like that, you’re makin’ me more nervous.”
(Angry, verging on tears) “We still deserve to be happy don’t we? No matter how bad things get, we still deserve our own happiness!”
Chante Robinson (Shawn-te Rob-in-son) is the Ultimate Thespian. He’s an exchange student from America who currently lives with the person who helped him during the exchange program. He is known for his famous performances on stage and love for acting where he can fully express himself. This makes him rather loud though which tends to make people avoid him sometimes. Eccentric, flamboyant, and energetic is the best way to describe him. He is always interested in learning new things, often being a bit gullible and taking everything word for word. The thing he loves most is Shakespere, something he shares with his best friend Sadaomi, often reciting quotes randomly in conversations.
Chante is the most energetic in the cast, think Ibuki Mioda level+. He is always rambling about plays and being over dramatic over everything he possibly can be. His voice is within the high-medium range. Chante is also a singer so please try and include that if possible in your audition after the 3rd line. The best example for his voice would be the dramatic nature and energy that Tsukasa Tenma from Project Sekai and Furina from Genshin have. Vocally though his range is closer to Lyney from Genshin. You are allowed to do your own interpretation, we’d much rather prefer hearing you and not a voice impression. Representation is important to us so it is heavily preferred that his va is POC/African American, please state if you are whenever you audition for him. It is not a requirement though.

(Excited) “My name? I’m glad you asked! I am the one, the only, the future star himself, Chante Robinson!”
(Sad) “Yet another has left this world. How much longer shall we endure this hardship?”
Minato Chisaka (Min-nah-toe Ch-ee-sa-kah) is the Ultimate Librarian. He values himself over everyone else and thinks that money can buy everything in the world. Stuck up and selfish, he sees himself as the center of everything. If you try and talk to him he’ll try and force you to only listen to what he has to say. This behavior makes it hard to like him, however he is very knowledgeable whenever it comes to history and other cultures.
Minato’s voice can be described as stuck up and annoying. He has a high-mid range and is constantly screaming or coming off as bossy. A lot of the time he is whining so if you try for this role make sure you really play into that part. Minato shows a lot of emotions.
(Intro, high and mighty) “Hmph! Don’t you know who I am? I am the king of this world! Minato Chisaka! Never forget my name!”
(Annoyed) “Can you shut up!? Geez, I can’t hear anything over your loud ass! You’re making my ears bleed!”
(Surprised, sad) “H-Huh..? This… wasn’t supposed to happen. I want to go home… Mom.. Dad.. where are you? When will this game end?”
Joker is the Ultimate Gambler and an antagonist of the story. He is known for his good looks and charm, however not much is known about him publicly. According to him, things are better left off as secrets. Everything about him is a mystery among the public. He is cunning and mischievous. Whenever it comes to gambling he’ll do anything to win. Overall, he is just a trouble maker looking to have a good time. He tends to be playful and teases others.
Whenever you are recording lines for him make sure you are trying to be as mysterious as possible. He sounds suave and slightly seductive. Any voice range from medium-low works as long as it is not high. A good example would be Joker from Persona 5, Niles from Fire Emblem Fates, or Gojo Satoru (JP). You are allowed to do your own interpretation, we’d much rather prefer hearing you and not a voice impression.

Asuka Takahashi (Ah-sue-ka Ta-ka-ha-she) is known as the Ultimate Vlogger. She is a famous streamer known for her very energetic personality! She posts a variety of things from vlogs to dance routines which catches the eye of many. The fame she has though gets to her head as she will often brag about it to her family members. Outside of her livestreams, she is a ‘mean girl’ to those around her. Asuka cares more about popularity than the feelings of the people around her. She will do anything to get her way. Deep down though she has a soft side she refuses to show anyone.
Asuka’s voice is on the higher side and cutesy! It can almost be described as annoying with how much she complains about things. Please do not use a valley girl voice, I know it’s tempting. She is extremely emotional and will be seen overreacting in most situations. In her eyes, she should always be the center of attention. Asuka speaks cutesy and friendly, however she can quickly snap into a deeper and more cruel sounding tone. Whenever people aren’t looking she can sound gloomy. We are looking for someone who can properly portray her emotions. The best example for her would be Cherry Blossom Cookie. You are allowed to do your own interpretation, we’d much rather prefer hearing you and not a voice impression.
(Energetic to smug) “I’m Asuka Takahashi, the Ultimate Vlogger! I’m sure you already knew that though, who wouldn’t? Charmed, right?”
(Sad, crying) “W-Wait! They’re not actually dead, right? T-This has to be a joke! Toshiro, don’t you agree?”
(Cocky) “Hah! I told you I was better than you! It’s too bad you’re too pathetic to realize how sad you look right now!”
Chinami Hasegawa (Chi-nah-me Ha-say-ga-wa) currently has her talent listed as unknown. She is talented in many things so it was hard to assign her a title. A lot of the ones she wanted were already taken so she settled to be unknown for now. Mischievous and cunning, Chinami is a smart girl who knows her stuff. She seems to know more than she lets on. She loves to play video games and socialize with other people, coming off as bubbly and happy. Despite this though, she can be a jerk to people sometimes. Chinami acts all friendly and cutesy around everyone she meets. She’s very independent and does things she wants to.
Chinami has a high-medium range voice. She is always bubbly and excited to talk to people. I know it’s tempting, but please do not make her sound like a valley girl. She is always happy and full of emotion, however if you talk to her in a heart to heart she will sound sadder and sympathetic. A good example for her voice would be Mitsuru from Demon Slayer, but slightly lower pitched. You are allowed to do your own interpretation, we’d much rather prefer hearing you and not a voice impression.
(Annoyed to neutral) “I am not a gamer girl, I am a gamer. I do not take slutty pictures while holding a controller.”
(Sincere, motivating) “Plain? I don’t think so. If you’re a president that means you’re a star academically and you do your best all the time, right?”
(Happy) “Yeah, I get it! Thank you for the help, Toshiro. I’m glad you understand me.”
Caisin (Cay-sin) is known as a lab assistant, also labeled the Ultimate Hive Mind. She is a very sweet individual who loves to meet and talk to others. She comes off as a blank slate since she is programmed to help others and not much else. She feels bad whenever she is unused because she wants to do her best to bring a smile to everyone’s face. Caisin wanders around a lot trying to find something that interests her because she doesn’t want to hover over the others, coming off as annoying.
Caisin’s voice should be on the higher pitched side. She has a soft voice that is on the young side, however it isn’t too young! Whenever she pronounces larger words they are said slower. A big inspiration for her voice would be Lucahjin's voice used for Ponco in her Ace Attorney playthrough. You are allowed to do your own interpretation, we’d much rather prefer hearing you and not a voice impression.
(Happy) “You have questions for me? Yay I love questions! How may I be of assistance?”
(Confused) “I am sorry, I don’t want to impose, but my database is telling me something different from the facts.”
(Neutral) “Please let me know if you need anything, I will always be happy to help you.”
Miyuki Shirokawa (Me-you-ki She-row-ka-wa) is known as the Ultimate Forensic Pathologist. She is known for being resourceful and intelligent. Whenever faced with a desperate situation she is calm as she is used to horrific things like death. People admire her for her bravery and talent at such a young age. While she is typically calm, she is very easy to anger or snap. If you underestimate her or don’t listen she will lose her temper. This results in her often needing to step outside to calm down again. People rarely see this side of her though as she does her best to control her emotions. Miyuki is not a pushover and will tell you how it is if she needs her voice to be heard. If needed, she isn’t afraid to be cold for the sake of justice.
Miyuki’s voice is in the high-medium range. She sounds calm, however whenever she gets serious or angry her voice tends to go a bit lower. If you audition for her you should be able to shift from a calm tone to bold and authoritative.
(Neutral) “It’s hard to forget people who give others so many memories.”
(Friendly, calm) “My name is Miyuki Shirokawa, it’s a pleasure. I am the Ultimate Forensic Pathologist. It’s different from usual detective work. I still manage to find myself doing everything though.”
(Angry, bold) “No, let the expert handle things! Toshiro, you are simply wrong. The logic you are using makes no sense.”
Koizumi Eiko (Coy-zoo-me Ai-ko) is known as the Ultimate Priestess. She is known inside and out as an emotionless husk. Where she grew up she was raised to never share how she feels in other ways besides her body. Unlike others, she is a very traditional person and doesn’t understand the more modern things in life, however she is trying her best to at least respect the differences in her culture and the modern world.
Koizumi’s voice is on the lower register. She sounds extremely mature and emotionless. If you audition for her you should be able to hold a neutral tone during dramatic moments. It is heavily preferred you are 18+ for this role due to her deep themes. Representation is important to us so it is heavily preferred that her va is trans, please state if you are whenever you audition for her. It is not a requirement though.
(Neutral) “Sorry, in my culture we do things a tad bit differently.”
(Confused) “O-Oh, I see. I never knew that, it seems I still have a lot to learn.”
(Strict) “My apologies, I never knew I gave you the impression that I was such a blind sided idiot!”
Kaori Mizuno (Cay-or-e Me-zoo-no) is known as the Ultimate Seanstress. She is a girl who is always nervous about everything. She will believe everything people tell her, good or bad. This makes her stay in her room to avoid these things. Sewing is what she considers as her getaway and is space which is why she is so talented at it. It is very easy for a scaredy cat like her to get uncomfortable in larger social settings. Despite her fears though she still wants to make friends with people and do what she views as morally correct.
Kaori’s voice is soft, shy, and tender. She should sound sweet and on the quieter side. Whenever you record for her please do not make her sound like Mikan. Her voice is closer to White Lily cookie. You are allowed to do your own interpretation, we’d much rather prefer hearing you and not a voice impression.
(Sad) “When I look at you, I almost remember someone I greatly miss. I haven’t seen them in awhile. Once we get out of here I’ll be sure to visit them with Akito.”
(Scared) “E-Eek! There’s a ghost!? Where?! P-Please go away! Stay back demon!”
(Surprised and happy) “M-My hobby? Nobody has ever asked me that before. I really enjoy cosplay. Sewing them is one thing, but watching people wear what I made makes me happy!”
Furuta Yasuo (Foo-rue-tah Yah-sue-oh) is known as the Ultimate Toy Maker. Furuta is, unsurprisingly, a very childish person who likes to play childish games. They like to become friends with everyone and are very oblivious while being happy go lucky. They are very innocent and really play up their childishness to the maximum. Once they start to like you they become kinda clingy.
They sound very happy and childish in their voice. Whenever they speak they are always excited and full of joy. If you make them sad though they tend to whine a lot, almost as if they are not an adult. Their voice can sound feminine or masculine. Representation is important to us so it is heavily preferred that their va is non binary, please state if you are whenever you audition for them. It is not a requirement though.
(Happy) “Yay! I get to have more big brothers! I mean, if it’s okay with you big bro Toshiro!”
(Whiney) “Awww I should be allowed to have a little fun, right? No? Hiss!!!!(said literally not actually hissing)”

Akito Matsumoto (Ah-ki-toe Mat-sue-mow-toe) is the Ultimate Herbalist. They are someone who is all over the place due to being known for being very smart and known for their knowledge with bio and medicine, however they are also a bit of a goof. They love to get into the business of others and will be very nosey. The one thing they do on the side as a hobby is gardening. Nature is extremely important to them and keeping the environment healthy. Akito is kind to everyone they meet and loves to talk, not knowing when to be quiet. They are pretty calm, almost like a hippy in a way.
Akito’s voice should sound androgynous. They are more or so on the masculine side, however a feminine voice can work as well. Whenever they talk they always come off smug or chill, there is no inbetween. They are extremely social and always wanting to meet new people. If you audition for them, think mean girls when reading the lines. Representation is important to us so it is heavily preferred that their va is non binary, please state if you are whenever you audition for her. It is not a requirement though.
