Connie and the Halloween Toons 3D Fan Animated Short
About the Project:
This is a 3D fan animation short set in the Dandy's World universe featuring Connie, Gourdy, Soulvester, Ribecca, and Eclipse.
Connie prides herself on being the best prankster around, but when her usual antics fail to startle Ribecca, she takes it upon herself to make her friend flinch, much to the dismay of the overly serious Soulvester.
Casting:
I'm looking for people who can really bring these characters to life with expressive performances. Each character has a distinct personality and I seek people who can capture their quirks while bringing their own flair to the role.
Please read each character's description and audition context before submitting. Feel free to experiment with your delivery, provided it fits the character and situation.
I also encourage you to audition for multiple roles if you can!
I already have a voice actor for Soulvester, so this is why he is not listed as a role.
Payment:
I am offering a fixed payment for each role, with approximately 2–3 takes per line where reasonable.

Production Timeline:
The screenplay is about 7 pages long, and the current animatic runs about 6 minutes. Once casting is complete, voice recording can begin, allowing animation production to move forward soon after.

Character Description:
Connie is a mischievous, energetic ghost who prides herself on being the best prankster around. When her usual tricks fail to startle Ribecca, she determines to do whatever it takes to make her flinch, to the dismay of Soulvester, Connie's overly serious brother.
Voice direction:
Connie should have a youthful, energetic, and slightly raspy voice. She is cocky, playful, competitive, and expressive. She often talks with the confidence of someone who believes she is the coolest person in the room. However, she should be capable of scaling back to a more grounded or quieter tone when the script demands.

Character Description:
Ribecca is a composed, confident skeleton who never lets anything get under her skin. Knowing Connie all too well, she's used to her usual tricks and is rarely startled by her attempts at scaring. She enjoys playfully teasing Connie and has a way of turning the tables without seeming to try.
Voice direction:
Ribecca's voice is naturally low, smooth, and slightly husky with a relaxed and deadpan delivery. She's self-assured, socially confident, and effortlessly charming, with a dry wit and a subtly flirtatious edge. Ribecca should sound mature and composed but not cold or aloof.

Gourdy is a friendly, enthusiastic Toon who enjoys spending time with his friends and preparing for Halloween festivities. He looks up to his fellow Halloween Toons and tends to get swept up in whatever they're doing.
Voice direction:
Gourdy should have a young, expressive voice with a friendly and innocent quality. He can be hesitant when he's unsure of what's happening, but he shouldn't sound perpetually nervous or scared.
Additional context: The animation doesn't explore Gourdy's lore, so the performance here focuses more on his innocent, playful side. In future projects, the role may require a much wider emotional range.

Eclipse's voice is high, bright, full of energy, and a little goofy. She sounds like an adventure loving friend that always brings a playful optimism even when she's just hanging out eating snacks or giving questionable advice. She should sound a bit nasally.
