Project Overview
Hi! My name is SoCalAshez, I am a player in a DnD campaign that has been going on for some years now (we are on Session 72 and play about every other week). Approx. 1-2 years ago, I started making an RPG Maker game for the PC. I posted what I had made in May 2021 on Itch.io (Sands of Slumber: The RPG by SoCalAshez (itch.io)) and got a suggestion to put it on Steam. Before I do that though, I wanted to add VOICE ACTING!
Here is a bit of a description of the game: "This campaign plays in the genre of old Final Fantasy style taking place in a highly magical and steampunk-esque technological world on the verge of all-out war. This follows the Dark Aasimar Tiefling: Ashara, Tricksy Half Elves: Embra the dashing rogue, and Ish Ma'el the cunning sorcerer, and the speedy Marleek (custom race): Victalyassa, the drunken master monk, as they join up in the "Unnamed Guild," led by a Gruff Dwarf: Drosko, to complete a task for the High King which will put all of their skills and abilities to the test. The heroes meet up outside the city of Valtaska, on the peninsula of Tanaviak , to receive the quest that will start them on a long journey to save the cycle and end the evil machinations of the "Sand Cult" and their mysterious plans to bring about the end of the world as they know it. The quest to save the world will bring the heroes all over the peninsula and far beyond as the party interacts with Kings, High Society Nobles, Cultists, Brothel women, Giant Flying Fire Whales, the Embodied Gods, and SO. MUCH. MORE!"
Auditions:
- If you would like to include multiple takes for each line, please follow the ABC ABC format
- Feel free to audition for more than one character
- In your audition, please include your discord. Our main method of communication will be through a discord server (if you do not have a discord, we can also use gmail)
- The file type does not matter (because the final versions will be using .OGG format and that can't be uploaded to CCC)

A Rune Master Aasimar/Tiefling who was orphaned on the streets of Benira (desert town, think Aladin in Agrabah). Her past is a mystery to her, as well as her purpose, but she finds peace in the careful deconstruction of the world, and sometimes the reckless destruction of it. A follower of Gavathrak of the Teeth (a god), she feels an unusually close tie to the god compared to any that have followed him before.
I would love to hear how you make her sound! I personally use VoiceMod when we play to give myself a Sylvanas (from World of Warcraft) type voice. She is strong, confident in her strength and magical ability, dark, serious, and angry. She doesn't know how to read and has no real concept on money. She often defers that and other tasks that she cannot accomplish on her own to her friends but tries to hide her weaknesses externally. She develops a strong friendship with her teammates over the campaign but often bounces back and forth on how she talks to them as she was alone for a long time prior. She is admittedly evil morally but is never evil to her friends and associates that she respects. She also uses her sexuality on both males and females to get her way in subtle ways rather than being overt, and always try to portray confidence, especially in combat and tense scenes.
The Rune Master. Has a permanent Runed Katana and uses Necrotic and Fire Magic. Loyal servant of the God of Destruction: Gavathrak (Gav-Uh-Thrack).
Ashara has a special ability called "Light" which can only be used when she is the party lead.
Will you destroy your enemies as Ashara, or do you still need to meet the other heroes?
This role is the grand narrator of the story, the background voice describing each text block that isn't said by a character. Our DM in real life is a male, but I am open to ANY male or female sultry voice if it hits right. Think of a DM at a tabletop RPG game trying to sound imposing and wise, omnipotent but not in an annoying or funny way. The videogame Baldur's Gate 3 has a good example of a DM describing what the character does and sees, and that's a female narrator. For males, I like a Ron Perlman style narration. This is one of the only times they are directly talking to the Player and setting the scene.

The Sands of Slumber campaign begins here on Tanaviak (Tah-Nah-Vie-Ack), a peninsula on the continent of Rimvalkast (Rim-Val-Cast).

A storm sorcerer who inherited his powers by absorbing the divine storms of "Mahwar of the Lung" (a god) during a bitter clash between his parents that razed his village and left him burned along his right side. Ish'Mael never overcame the shame of losing both his ship and his revenge. He worked on ships on the southern coast of Rimvalkast, but the drudgery of the common sailor left him feeling empty. Bom (another god) seemed to smile on him when a letter from his old friend Drosko invited him to join a new guild.
For this voice, I have always envisioned him with a sailor/pirate accent with a rogue's wit, but I would love to see your take on it. Always looking to make a deal. Can be daft in some "normal" social situations. Has a dark side when it comes to moral decisions, considers himself neutral but often actions roguishly evil with his powers.
The Storm Sorcerer. Immensely powerful and "shockingly" hard to hit sometimes. Uses Arcane and Lightning magic.
Ish Ma'el has a special ability called "Find Familiar" that can only be used when he is selected as the party lead.
Will you command Lightning itself as Ish Ma'el, or do you still need to meet the other heroes?
An arcane trickster half-elf who has a penchant for sneaking small things here and there when she thinks she can get away with it. She's known in her group for her exasperation when her crew annoys her but always pulling though when they need her. One of the first members of Drosko's guild, she has proven herself capable in a fight and willing to call out the b.s. in the world.
The player who plays her says she feels like she sounds like a Not-British Bayonetta, and pretentious, like Meredith Blake in The Parent Trap. Morally, she is a good person who won't do anything overtly evil but will do some bad or illegal things if it's for the greater good or just to line her own roguish pockets.

This role is for the various side and extra characters in game which already exist. You can choose to do 1 role or all 3 roles, these are just types and lines that are in the game. I would not like long demo reels for this, but instead am okay if you upload an audition for a different character from another project if it's a character you like and you describe the character in your comments.
