Courtland Pier
Project Overview
Courtland Pier is a small tourist destination that attracts people from around the world, known entirely for its resident orca pod. Tourists have started outnumbering the locals who have lived there for years. Homes are turning into Airbnbs, most shops have turned into copy and pasted tourist shops, and whale watching companies have been getting overconfident.
The story starts with Esther and her childhood friend, Perry, talking about how he is moving soon. Later, when she leaves work at a tourist shop and is walking home through the boardwalk, she notices a large crowd of people gathering around the beach. She runs down to the beach to see an orca beached on the shore. While locals are helping the orca, several tourists are taking photos, causing tension between the two groups . Esther watches the scene, starts turning away, then goes forward to help.
I'd prefer if voice actors are 18+ for this project. While this project is family friendly, I personally am uncomfortable having a working dynamic with minors.
