Corpse Party is one of the most iconic Japanese horror games and many people enjoy the anime, Corpse Party Tortured Souls. There has yet to be an english dubbing of this show so we're getting together to creature our own fandub. Because of the content in this show we request that anyone who auditions to be over the age of thirteen. The show is free to watch on YouTube and I've provided the first episode above. There are only four thirty minutes long episodes.

The project has a complete script and an editor who is just waiting for actors to sign on so there will not be a wait between casting and start time, and we'll give you a set timeframe to record all of your lines. If cast, we will communicate through discord so please include your discord information with your audition. Decent mic quality would be preferred. If you don't have a decent mic but have a smart phone use your phone to upload sound files. The sound quality through the voice memos app is usually pretty good.

  • Casting Date Confirmation

    The date was confirmed to be changed to the 13th of March. The reason for this change is because of the work schedule of the other casting director and the original date -the 16th- has our local comic con where we have been planning to attend for a year at this point and we want to make sure to have time devoted to the casting to make sure we have the best results possible. We discussed it and decided double casting is not off of the table but we're going to listen to all the auditions first.

  • Possible Casting Date Change

    Looking at the schedules of the casting directors the cast could possibly be determined on March 13th instead of the 16th! We also haven't excluded the possibility of double casting parts, but we need to have further discussion. Thank y'all so much for these fantastic auditions. I know we're going to have a hard time casting and that is the *best* feeling in the world! Keep up the great work. If there are parts you haven't auditioned for yet and would like to, please consider it, or if there is a part you auditioned for and would like to audition for again. At the moment we're not sure if all the parts will be cast in this initial casting (a couple of parts have zero or only a single audition) so there is a possibility those will remain open later than the other parts, but we make no promises. A promotional trailer is underway with our editor and the couple of actresses that have been cast prior to this project listing so I'm hoping we can have that up as the trailer soon. Again, thank y'all so much for your auditions and I cannot wait to start this project. Break a leg, each and every one of you!

Naomi is generally a bright and cheerful, if stubborn, teenage girl. A tomboy, she often feels the need to take charge of everything she is involved with, which usually causes her to butt heads with Satoshi. This behavior hides a more "girlish" side to her that enjoys shopping and grooming herself like other average girls of her age, which shows itself whenever she plays with her best friend, Seiko. She tends to let her emotions control her actions; when stressed, scared, or upset, she is prone to acting like a spoiled brat who whines, throws childish tantrums, and lashes out at everyone around her. However, she is very self-aware of herself during such intervals but has extreme difficulty stopping herself from acting in such an immature manner, which causes her to feel guilty whenever she regains control of herself. She is 16 years old. One of only five students to be in every game.

  • Sei…ko… NOOOOOO! WHY!? WHYY SEEIIIKOOO!?

  • In just a few short hours, I went from having fun in the classroom with my friends, to watching them die right in front of me. I can’t accept this, there’s no way this is real. Unfortunately, we’re in a place where anything can happen.  This place is none other than…the cursed…Heavenly Host Elementary.

Satoshi is kindhearted by nature, often willing to go the extra mile for those that he cares for. Due to this, he is shown to be on good terms with most of the people in his life. Ironically, Satoshi is also a bit of a coward, and was highly reluctant to take part in the ritual that placed him and his peers at Heavenly Host Elementary School. Although stated as such, Satoshi takes the leader position when needed in the group. He is the big brother of Yuka Mochida who is very attached to him. He is 17 years old. One of only five students to be in every game. 

  • (nervous) W-well guys, isn’t it about time we all head home for the night?

  • ( to Yuka) I’ll be waiting for you inside, if anything bad happens I should hear you scream.

  • (to Naomi) It’s okay. It’s really not all your fault. I’m sure Seiko just wasn’t thinking like herself. You know Seiko isn’t the kind to go off and do this under normal conditions.

Ayumi is the class representative who loves to scare people. She loves to tell ghost stories and it's rumored that's why she carries around a bunch of candles. In actuality, she tells those stories to hide her own fear. She is a tough girl with great interest about the occult, and likes to scare her friends with ghost stories. However, this is her way to hide her easily frightened personality, even rivaling that of her classmate, Satoshi. However, she can be brave when it's needed. She is 17 years old. One of only five students to be in every game. 

  •  One rainy evening after school—a lot like right now, a school nurse lost her footing at the top of the stairway and fell to her death.  

  • All of us readers got worried when it seemed like you just vanished after posting Sachiko Ever After.  Who would have thought that this happened.

  • Everyone get in a circle;  I want you to say the words ‘Sachiko, please we beg of you’ in your heads.

Giving off the aura of a delinquent, Yoshiki faced difficulty in school due to issues at home. At one point, Yoshiki considered getting himself expelled from Kisaragi Academy, since he could not find a reason to continue attending if he didn't have an interest. However, Ayumi Shinozaki changed Yoshiki's mind on the matter. He has a crush on the girl though it is never said in words. He is best friends with Satoshi and is seen as the toughest in the group. He is 17 years old. One of only five students to be in every game.

  • How the hell are we supposed to appease their spirits?

  • Still that’s one hell of a creepy-ass doll. I can’t shake the feeling that it’ll start talking any second.

Despite being a teenager, Yuka acts in a much younger manner than her age due to her being more pampered by her parents than her brother. She tries to act like an adult in order to be taken more seriously by her peers, but her constant failures at doing so cause her to come across as even more immature. Her naivety makes her childlike innocence more apparent than most others trapped in Heavenly Host Elementary School, but it also makes her susceptible to being. She is the younger sister of Satoshi Mochida. She is 14 years old. She is one of only five students to be in every game. She is a teen but her voice will be more like that of a child- but not as extreme as a normal child would be. 

  • Pleased to meet you, I’m Yuka Mochida. Thank you ever so much for always taking care of Satoshi.

Seiko is an extremely cheerful and energetic girl who enjoys playing around with her friends. She often comes across as immature and crass and makes over-the-top outbursts that surprise everyone around her, but her friends are able to put up with it. She generally tries to maintain this personality even while trapped inside Heavenly Host, though the grim reality of their situation nearly causes her to suffer from an emotional breakdown several times. She is the most bold of the girls. She is extremely close to Naomi, the two of them being best friends. She is 16 years old. 

  • There’s no cell service either. Is it just me, or does this place look like the kind of place that would be haunted?

  • You don’t have to be in such a hurry, I just want to spend more time alone together with you [muffled laughs in Naomi's boobs]

Sakutaro is a character with layers: he likes to leave a good impression on other people while hiding his inner personality. He acts calm and takes situation like Mayu's transfer in his stride. Unlike the rest of the characters, he is neither disgusted nor horrified by the excessive gore and decaying corpses in Heavenly Host, instead he finds them intriguing.. However, he keeps this trait a secret from others. He is best friends with Mayu and deeply cares for her, the one friend who would cheer him up when he is down. He comes across and smart and serious. He is 16 years old. 

  • I’ve taken a lot of corpse photos, haven’t I? It’s weird; I know they’re real but it feels like I’m looking at props. [gasp] [laughs] This one is much more exciting than the others.

  • They’re ghosts of children. Probably from that incident. And even though they look harmless enough, I've seen them brutally attacking those other students I mentioned earlier.

  • Where are you, Mayu? Without me there to look after you it’s obvious you’d be in trouble. That’s not really true, is it? Your smile…Your lovely voice…The way only you call me ‘Taro...’ You’re the one protecting me! Mayu! Where could you be?

Mayu is a member of drama club. Even though she seems much smaller than she is, Mayu has a great heart. Thanks to her energetic nature, she is very popular among the students. She is the nicest of the students in the school and is beloved by her friends. She is best friends with Sakutaro. Her moving away is what sets the events of Corpse Party into action. She is 16 years old. 

  • Hey, teacher, I just can’t leave these kids alone. So I decided I’m going to stay here with them.

Yui is a young teacher that just started her career at Kisaragi Academy. She is cheerful and friendly to her students, especially Ayumi, who compares Ms. Yui to a sister, and plays a prank along with her. Even though she is enthusiastic, she believed that she is a bad teacher. Throughout the events in Heavenly Host, Yui proves to be a brave and determined individual that deeply cares for her students, even more than herself. She is 23 years old. 

  •  (whispered) Please no… (scared/desperate) She is my student and she’s very precious to me! Please, I’m begging you! Give her back!

  • How late are you planning to stay? I told everyone to straighten up the remains of the festival real quick and head home.

  • (comforting Ayumi) You were just proving to your friends that you really care about them. Aren’t I right?

Naho initially presented herself as a stoic, wise, and enigmatic character who seemed to harbor ethically vague sentiments. However, she gradually evinced her darker emotions when Yoshiki and Ayumi confronted her about the underlying circumstances behind the "Sachiko Ever After" charm. She knows more about Heavenly Host Elementary than anyone else. She died in Heavenly Host Elementary prior to the events depicted. She is 17 years old. The actress needs to be able to be portray both matter-of-fact and insane.

  • Back when I was still alive, I exhausted my energy desperately looking for a way to escape, but we’re really inside a closed space that happens to be inside Heavenly Host. The space is maintained by the spirits of those four children from that incident.

  • Perhaps someone thought it would be boring to just do the charm correctly; and purposely said the incantation wrong because it would be a fun secret to keep from the rest of you.

  • Huuhh? An occult freak like you can just go rot in a corner somewhere for all the fucks I have to give. [laughs] I’m always going to protect Mr. Kibiki’s work! I’ll never forgive anyone who interferes! [laughing]

While she was alive, Sachiko seemed to be rather shy and recluse. As a spirit she is sinister and murderous. Killing and torturing people, both physically and mentally, is a source of fun and joy for her. Sometimes she plays with her victims, pretending to help them or be their friend, just to kill them afterwards. She is 7 years old. 

  •  (playful. more innocent sounding)

    [giggle] Will it come out for me?

Yuki is one of the three children spirits. As a ghost, Yuki is violent and merciless. She kills her victims by stabbing them in the eye with scissors and pleads to get her eye (or tongue) back. She communicates both violently and kindly because of her role in the story.

Ryou is one of the three children spirits. As a ghost, Ryou is the most violent of the three ghost children and is seen often without the other two. Can be played by either a male or a female.

Whilst she was alive, Yoshie was a kind, caring school nurse who loved to be around children, especially her own child Sachiko Shinozaki who she called her own "pride and joy" and seemed to be on good terms with Takamine Yanagihori before her death. After her death by the hands of the Principal she had a desire for revenge and placed a curse on the Yanagihori family, she also gradually became jealous of the nurse that replaced her, as well as the living in general. She is a violent spirit.

Yuuya is a mysterious character at first, indicating nothing of his true personality. He initially appears to be a protective and strong ally, as well as sophisticated and classy with his language, and manners, though occasionally coming across as somewhat blunt and apathetic. Underneath this façade, however, Yuuya is a sociopath in the truest sense, withholding no understanding or comprehension of morality, affection, social interaction, or the value of life.

  • I see…Actually, I’m looking for my little sister. Why don’t we search together? I’m Yuuya Kizami from Byakudon High School. It’s a pleasure to meet you.

  • Big brother will always protect you.

  • There’s no escaping from here. We’re all definitely going to die. So I decided…

        --(sing-song some of the words throughout rant like explaining to small child)

    In the final moments of our lives, we’ll be brother and sister. If I let you get killed by the ghosts here, it would be so devastating I couldn’t live with myself.

Yoshikazu serves Sachiko and as such can be found roaming the halls of Heavenly Host looking for people to kill. A number of the corpses found inside the school were killed by his weapon of choice, a large sledgehammer. Another method used by him to murder is knocking the victims unconscious with the sledgehammer and bringing them to the school basement, where he proceeds to drain the blood from the body.

As a principal of Heavenly Host Elementary, Takamine seemed to be quite popular among the townsfolk in Tenjin for his charismatic personality, his work ethic, and his firm but fair school policies. Due to his dedication, Heavenly Host became a cornerstone of life within the humble town of Tenjin. He was respected by the teachers, students, and the townsfolk. Actor needs to be able to be fearful, angry and remorseful.
