Contact Unknown: The Rift - Ep.01
Project Overview
CONTACT UNKNOWN is a sci-fi audio-drama series set in the 2700s. The series explores the setting's ever-expanding universe and the developing technology, politics, wars, and mysteries within the Milky Way Galaxy as humanity takes its first steps into a totally unfamiliar reality.
In THE RIFT, the audience will find themselves following the story of a secretive interstellar power known as THE BASTION and witness their violent, merciless response to an unprecedented outside threat, unlike anything they have encountered for hundreds of years.
"The High Ordinator" is a deathly loyal enforcer of the Bastion State, and the series' protagonist and antagonist.
The High Ordinator is a theatrical, confident, politically intelligent individual who has dedicated his life to perfecting his craft in service of the Bastion's civil integrity. He enjoys picking apart people's minds, discovering what drives them and what can break them, often in a playful, non-intimidating way, but still managing to keep his authority and how absolute it is forever in the back of everyone's mind.
VA DIRECTION: The desired voice for The High Ordinator is an older man, with a gravelly or slightly hoarse voice profile.

(Amused) Truly this city is a marvel! The craftsmanship, the artistry, but what impresses me most, simply is the attention to detail, where even the smallest crack is maintained to a tee., haha.
(Disheartened) My friend, there is much you do not yet understand, and I do not expect you to. I truly, truly am sorry... But this must be done. For the Bastion.
(Hostile) You have worn out your welcome here, I think your kind has learned the price paid for such transgression!
"The Baron" is a younger gentleman who serves as the local regent of his city at the series' opening; he is one of the series' main protagonists.
The Baron is a well-meaning, idealistic, but somewhat socially inexperienced gentleman, especially when faced with enforcers of the state. The Baron must navigate the delicate situation he is thrown into if he wishes to remain innocent of the crimes he is accused of in the eyes of those who have begun to watch over him.
VA DIRECTION: The desired voice for The Baron is that of a younger man, generally with a light French or aristocratic sound.

(Nervous) Here I am then. At your service, Milord.
(Slight Panic) I am uncertain of your meaning; if you could afford me a moment to simply ask-
(Casually) I am impressed, for a moment I was unsure you had it in you!
"The Lord-Knight" The Lord-Knight is the ever Pragmatic counterpart to the High Ordinator and serves as the High Ordinator's foil and is a series regular.
The Lord-Knight is a long time Military serviceman, who has participated in several campaigns against those who dared to take up arms against the Bastion. The latest leg of his career brings him into Civil Integrity Enforcement, which has taken a somewhat unforeseen turn.
VA DIRECTION: The desired voice for The Lord-Knight is an older man, with a stoic yet somewhat agitated demeanor about him.

(Lecturing) It would be wise of you to temper yourself, lest we recall our last encounter with their representatives. Fire and Ice do not mix, *especially* at their most extremes.
(Casually) Catching you standing about all by your lonesome is a rare sight these days, especially with out your "Number Two" as it were.
(Annoyed) Yes, and pray tell, how might we go about that WITHOUT, provoking mass civil unrest. We have already done enough for the time being.
