Jose Moreno
I am a Systems Engineer with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master's degree in Systems Engineering. I have experience working in the aerospace and defense industry and enjoy both technical and creative pursuits. Outside of work, I sing and play drums for my church, build and paint Gundam model kits, and enjoy voice acting, tabletop role-playing games, and storytelling. I am a lifelong fan of fantasy and science fiction, with particular interests in Dungeons & Dragons, Star Wars, Star Trek, anime, and mythology. I also have knowledge of football, having played through middle school, high school, and briefly in college, and remain a dedicated fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Growing up in South Texas has given me familiarity with Texan culture, Hispanic communities, and regional dialects. I also have experience with public speaking, music performance, and character voice work.
Storytelling has always been at the heart of why I pursued voice acting. I’m passionate about bringing characters to life through authentic, emotionally grounded performances, whether in anime, video games, animation, or audiobooks. Fantasy, science fiction, and character-driven stories are where I feel most at home, and I love exploring everything from heroic leads and intimidating villains to heartfelt, nuanced roles. I’ve participated in workshops with Shawn Gann, Jason Lord, Mami Okada, Sirena Irwin, and Marc Hawes, and also received one-on-one coaching from Shawn Gann. I’m continually refining my craft while building experience across a variety of projects. I joined Casting Call Club to collaborate with passionate creators, challenge myself with new opportunities, grow as a performer, and help tell stories that leave a lasting impact on audiences.
