(COMIC DUBS) The Walking Dead Comic Dub Series by Psycho Cat
Project Overview
The Walking Dead is an American post-apocalyptic comic book series created by writer Robert Kirkman and artist Tony Moore – who was the artist on the first six issues and cover artist for the first twenty-four – with art on the remainder of the series by Charlie Adlard.
I am looking for talented voice actors who can bring these characters to life. Hopefully, my direction will help XD. I am not looking for impressions of the characters in the TV show. I'm looking for people who discover the right voice for the character(s) they have. People who can give their own spin that feels right for the character.
You audition for the character you think you can do well in. If you are given the role, you'll be given the characters FANDOM Wiki page and an overview of the character to help you get to know the character (The overview will also be there in the characters audition spot down below). You will also be given the issues your character is in. Make sure to read the entire issue your character is in to understand the situation the characters are in and to know what lines your character has.
We want dedicated voice actors that will stick with the project! It's a long series (193 Issues) and if you are given a big role, we expect you to stick with the role.
When recording your lines do multiple different takes so I can have a pick at which is the best while I'm editing (3 good takes).
Mic quality has to be decent (No background noises, no muffled audio, no movement of the mic while recording, no white noise, etc.)
It is a NON-PAID project. However, like many free projects, I will make sure to share your social media pages and give you exposure to other projects. You will also get experience.
When you receive the character FANDOM Wiki page, the issues your characters are in for each Volume, a deadline for each Volume, and the overview of the character(s) you have: You can get started on the lines.
You will be credited at the end of each issue you're in, links to whatever social media you want to show off will be in the description and I will give you a recommendation for your work on Casting Call Club! I will also have you in mind if I'm working on any other projects if you are interested. However, for now, we're just working on TWD Series.
Make sure you have Discord and an email so you can contact you and send you your stuff. If you have Discord you can join the server I have with the other VA's :)
Thank you for reading and hopefully, you'll be interested!

Michonne is strong-willed, introverted, practical, and skeptical. She is constantly surveying her surroundings and is quick to size up a situation and its potential dangers. She is very skeptical of seemingly good people and situations and takes everything at face value.
Despite her introversion due to post-apocalyptic trauma, Michonne claims to have once been quite gregarious. With this internal conflict, Michonne, perhaps to a fault, too easily falls in love with men she interacts with. Her true self is further repressed each time her lovers meet their fates, despite Michonne knowing full well how short life can be in the new world.
Michonne acknowledges just how far gone she is, and this constantly pains her. From losing all of her past lovers to abandoning her children, she has become someone she hates. She often exclaims her disdain for being seen as strong, because she thinks others see her as nothing more than a warrior and a weapon. Despite this, she is extremely loyal to her friends and has developed a very close relationship with the Grimes family.
Michonne tends to work alone and quietly, but still fights for the survivors' defense as strong as the other active defenders. She is frequently referred to and perceived by the other characters as one of the strongest members of the survivors, and frequently participates in the violent, but necessary, actions of the group, such as the conflict against the Governor and his henchmen. Her participation in the torture and slaughter of the Hunters showed a much more detached side of her than ever before. She admits in her imaginary conversations with her boyfriend that she cares for the group, showing that some humanity remains despite her torturous experiences. Michonne has shown from her break-down after torturing the Governor that she is still capable of vulnerability.
Despite her experiences, Michonne has proved her worth to the group, not only in her practical skills with her katana but also in her constant participation in moving the survivors forward and keeping the group safe. She is the only survivor who arrived post-prison and pre-Woodbury. She remains a vital member of the survivors. Douglas Monroe appointed her constable along with Rick Grimes shortly after their arrival at the Alexandria Safe-Zone. During the war against the Saviors, Michonne proved to be valuable soldier. After the Battle of Hilltop, she went to fish with Oceanside.

DIRECTION(S)
(I believe that Michonne will go through a rollercoaster of emotion. When she describes her past (before the outbreak) her words are tinged with guilt and regret but she shoves that down in an automatic survival response. When she talks about the person she has become, she is filled with self-confidence and personal power. When she talks about Rick, she is consumed with the loss of him (this will be a very three-dimensional response). When she talks about Rick's legacy she does so with intense determination and pride. So at the start, when she is talking about herself, I think what you did was perfect. When she goes on to talk about her husband, keeping his name and her “failed marriage” I’d suggest you go firmer but a bit deadpan. This part of her life means nothing to her now, she is only imparting information. “So I hid from it, and who I was” should be thick with barely controlled emotion, transitioning to strong determination for “Now, I feel like I earned it back.” She carries on, fully confident in herself, slipping into immense pride, and a little awe, in Rick’s accomplishments. When she talks about honouring him, you can hear the love she still has for him and the desire to keep his memory alive in others)
LINE(S)
"Michonne was someone who carried a lot of guilt. It haunted her... had her talking to ghosts, pushing people away, and forgetting who she was. Hawthorne was my ex-husband's name. I never changed it after the divorce because my practice knew me under that name. Eventually, the name was just a painful reminder of a failed marriage and lost children. So I hid from it... and who I was. Now? I feel like I earned it back, the work I've done, what I've accomplished. It's who I am now. I never would have been able to do that without your father... and the world he built. There are some people out there who feel like your father gets too much credit. There were so many of us helping him along the way. Sure. But I feel like he still doesn't get enough credit. So every time I have a chance to set something right or honor the man in some small way--I take it."
DIRECTION(S)
(I think she should be a little more angry, like a mother that’s caught her child doing something wrong, but strategically so. She is frustrated with Ezekiel but she wants to guide him to becoming a better leader. Therefore, i would suggest that this scene be done a little like a softened drill instructor with a tiny hint of hopeful pleading.)
LINE(S)
"Those people have families that live in your community... they need you. You're not going to let them down. If you're really this much of a pussy, do what you do best... act like you aren't."
DIRECTION(S)
(This is pure darkness. Michonne has been pushed to her utmost limit. She is trying to be a good person but The Governor has now awoken the worst in her. Her voice should be filled, not with anger or fear but with a sort of matter-of-fact "I'm going to kill you in the bloodiest, most gruesome and most painful manner as possible and I'm going to enjoy doing it." Make your voice thick with dark emotion. You start from a position of pain because of the horror of what the Governor has done to her “I’m not crying for me”, but you then slide quickly through rage “I’m crying for you” (very intense but don’t raise your voice) and into a dark threat, slightly matter-of-fact and she has gotten her anger under control (although it is still there) “I think about all the things……”)
LINE(S)
"I'm--I'm not crying for me. I'm crying for you. I think about all the things I'm going to do to you and it makes me cry. It scares me."
Accent: Southern American/Famer
For Hershel Greene, we, unfortunately, have to recast him. I'm hoping the voice is somewhat similar to the original voice in our dubs! However, you can also try out your own take on the character that would fit!
Here's a video for reference: https://youtu.be/KKkZAoMFv9o?t=10
Despite his grumpy and cold demeanor, for a significant amount of time Hershel ultimately served as the moral center of the survivors. The man was quick to help people whenever they were in need while also spreading his influence of hope and reassurance, all the while wanting nothing but the best for most of the people around him.
Whilst giving off an outwardly stern and cold appearance, he was a gentle man at heart, as he loved his family and nature; he only ever wanted the best for everyone close to him. He became a deeply religious man after the passing of his wife, and it's shown that his main and only reason for life since his her passing was the protection and survival of his children.
Hershel grew up at the farm and because of his love of the animals around him, aspired to be a veterinarian, which he later went to college for out in the city. He ended up staying in the city where he met the girl of his dreams, whom he later married and had seven children with. The two of them started up a business together, with his wife handling the financial end while he would be handling the physical end (caring for the animals and performing on them).
After his wife had passed, he had desperately tried to hold onto life by forcing himself to become increasingly more religious, and yet even despite this, he remained an emotional wreck, being convinced that his life now was empty even with his sons and daughters by his side. The business that they had operated soon fell apart despite his best efforts to keep it alive. Soon after, he began to take into consideration his father's last wishes, which were to look after the farm and tend to what needed to be done on a daily basis. With nothing else left in his life, he had decided to follow this wish and a year after his wife's passing, moved back to this childhood home along with his children (who would help him with the various daily tasks) to start his lifestyle anew.
He and the children continued to run the farm, with the youngest continuing to attend school until they graduated, and some of the older ones attending college at one point or another - all of which he gladly paid for. They still couldn't shy away from their required tasks however, as their father didn't feel like he needed to do all of it alone. As in the past, he continued to raise all of his children under a religious household.

(Proud) "It's all about faith, honey. My faith ain't never been stronger."
(Full of anger and sadness/Holding back tears) "My son is in there GOD DAMMIT! Shawn was bitten. It was before we put up the barrier around the house. I--I couldn't help him, he died after a couple days... And turned into one of them... I didn't know what else to do. So I kept Shawn in the barn. He tried to attack us... To--kill us. But I couldn't kill him... I couldn't bring myself to do that. When we found others... We just... We kept them too..."
(Horrified but calm/Crying/Given up life) "Dear God... Please... Just kill me..."
Abraham is a brave, pragmatic and short tempered man who thrives in the heat of combat. He greatly enjoys a good fight. On the exterior, he appears to be a violent, cold and detached man, but beneath that facade he is very sensitive and suffers extreme guilt for previous murders and killings. He is desperate for emotional support, which he initially gets from Rosita and later from Holly.
Though initially hostile to the Survivors, believing them too inexperienced with the apocalypse, and a hindrance in his mission of delivering Eugene to Washington, D.C., he grew to accept them, and become the group's main enforcer, replacing the hole left by Tyreese's death. He also formed a close bond with Rick, relating to his experiences of family loss in the apocalypse, even after the two clashed for leadership in their first meetings together.
After Eugene revealed himself as a liar, telling the group that he is not actually a scientist, and has no clue what caused the apocalypse, Abraham loses confidence in himself. This causes him to step-down from his joint leadership role with Rick, believing Rick to be a more capable leader, and he settles as Rick's second in command, helping Rick make any important decisions, but, not involving himself too much in group matters.
It is also revealed that Abraham never loved one of his traveling companions, Rosita, despite telling her so, and was only with her for her comfort seeing as she was the only woman around. He decides to cheat on her by sleeping with an Alexandria Safe-Zone resident, Holly, after saving her life. He tells Rosita that he only formed a romantic relationship with her because he did not want to be lonely, and that she felt like the last woman on Earth to him, in a way doing it out of pity for her. However, in his dying moments, Abraham tells Eugene that he wants him to look after Rosita, saying he just wants her to be happy like he was with Holly, never wishing to hurt her despite seemingly wanting to before his final moments.

(Sincere/Slightly saddened but pushing his feelings aside for his friend) "I get it, man. You like her, you want to be with her. I'm not going to stand in the way at all. Fucking hell, man. I still have feelings for her. But my feelings for her mean I want her to be... happy... I don't want to be with her. I want her to be happy without me. Like I am without her. I want things to be... right. Do you understand? If she can be happy with you... great. And then... I just don't--"
(Very apologetic/Grateful but annoyed) ""Wait. Listen. I'm not sorry for cheating on you with Holly. I'm sorry that I ended up hurting you in the process. After my wife died... You were there for me. I appreciate that. And for a time, you were what I needed. But I always found myself thinking "What if you aren't the last woman on earth?". And well... You're not."
(Apologetic/Concerned but to everyone else it's comedic) "I apologize for questioning your skills. You know how to bite dick, Eugene. I mean that with the utmost respect."
Eugene's greatest strength is his large intellect. On multiple different occasions Eugene has displayed great feats of intellect, such as being able to use factory equipment to craft bullets and heal wounds such as gunshots with relative ease. Eugene's intellect makes him a great asset to the group, with him often being kept away from the action in order to keep him safe, a notion Eugene does not always approve of. In recent times Eugene has used his intellect to help build Alexandria into a thriving beacon of hope in the harsh post-apocalyptic world, being able to design buildings such as mills for the community. Mercer also notices that Eugene is "Smart. Like, Build-a-new-car-if-given-the-time smart."
During the early months of the apocalypse, Eugene realized his intelligence would not be enough for him to be able to survive in the post-apocalyptic world. Knowing he is not a great fighter or a very brave person, Eugene used his ability to tell convincing lies to others in order to survive the undead. Deciding to call himself a top government scientist with knowledge on how the zombie outbreak started, Eugene manipulated Abraham Ford and Rosita Espinosa into protecting him from threats with the false promise that Washington, D.C. was a safe area, thus ensuring his continued survival in the post-apocalyptic world with little effort needed on his part.
Once Eugene's lies eventually caught up to him, he decided to rethink his way of living in the post-apocalyptic world. When a herd breached the Alexandria Safe-Zone, Eugene showed increased bravery in the face of danger and stood his ground while fighting off numerous zombies alongside his fellow survivors.
During the war against the Saviors, Eugene became one of Alexandria's most important people by using his intellect to craft bullets for Rick Grimes and the other survivors to use against Negan and his Saviors. Even after he was captured by Negan and interrogated, Eugene refused to surrender any information to them despite his own life being threatened, wanting to prove himself useful and not wanting Abraham's death at the hands of the Saviors to mean nothing.
After the two-year timeskip, Eugene became a valuable asset to the communities and was determined to prove himself. Eugene contributed greatly to Alexandria's reconstruction, even helping design the windmill and Heath's prosthetic leg. During this time, Eugene and Rosita officially become a couple and are soon expecting a child, although Eugene quickly learns it isn't his. Despite this, he vows to raise it as his own. Unfortunately, Rosita is killed during the Whisperer War before she can give birth, leading Eugene to once again start producing bullets in order to satisfy his need for revenge against the Whisperers. At the same time, he repairs an old radio and ends up contacting another community; The Commonwealth. He meets the woman he spoke with on the radio, Stephanie, and eventually starts a relationship with her.
Following the conflict with The Commonwealth and the death of Rick Grimes, Eugene was working on the idea of restarting old trains to make long-distance travel between communities easier. 25 years later, he's still working on the same concept and by the end of the final issue, Eugene is seen re-uniting the east and west with a functioning train line for the first time since before the Trials. Throughout all of this, Eugene, according to Carl, talks a lot about his supposed declining health and seems to believe he doesn't have long to live.

(Being brave/Slightly afraid) "Back in Alexandria--we'd only lived there a little while, and before that we moved from place to place, always driven out by the dead--or worse. The walls were down, the place was overrun with roamers, we were going to flee--every bone in my body just wanted to run. But Rick, he led us in an attack--we grouped together, protected each other, and we fought back. That was the day we stopped running--when we set roots in Alexandria and fought to stay there. That was the day when I learned to control my fear--use it. It's still there--but it's a tool, it keeps me sharp. Those undead fucks are terrifying. But they're slow and, damn it, they're stupid. We can beat them. Together, like Rick taught me. You with me?"
(Expressing his care for Rosita/Sincere) "I'll raise the baby as if it were my own. I've been thinking about this all night. If you truly love me, I can do this. We can still be a family."
(Threatening/Slightly Sinister) "I get free... I'm going to take you out from behind. You'll never see it coming. You'll go out like Abraham did... Only I'm thinking there won't be as many people out there who give a damn."
Douglas was a Democratic U.S. Congressman from the state of Ohio before the outbreak occurred. This position gained him and his family a spot in the Alexandria Safe-Zone when the outbreak started. He was invited by his best friend Alexander Davidson, who worked as security liaison in the white house.
Being the leader of the Alexandria Safe-Zone, Douglas was respected by many of the residents there and was called a good leader on many different occasions. However, Douglas was very fond of attractive women and placed them in the highest positions in the community. Women who caught his interest, like Andrea, were often targeted by him. Meaning that he followed them around and tried to flirt with them, trying to get them to become his girlfriend, even though he was married to Regina. He considered his marriage to her "political" and they were only still together for his benefit. However, after Regina's death at the hands of Pete Anderson, he regrets these advances deeply, blaming himself for her death and going into a deep state of depression. This depression would later prove to be his fatal undoing.
Despite his advances towards women, Douglas deeply cared for the Alexandria Safe-Zone community and he would do anything to protect it. When Rick accused him of not being a good leader, Douglas told him of the time he murdered his best friend, Alexander Davidson, to protect the community, saying that his actions caused people's deaths and he simply could not allow it to go on. He also threatens to murder Rick when he attacks and assaults Peter Anderson, saying he does not want another Davidson situation. His disgust of Davidson is so great, that the very mention of his name makes him very angry and aggressive, as evidenced when he attacked Heath, after he said Davidson's name. This is also one of the few times Douglas is shown to be angry, as he has a very calm nature and is able to keep his cool in the most extreme situations.
Douglas is also shown to be a very capable leader, putting personal differences aside in the benefit of the community. This is shown when Rick asks him if he knew of Pete's abusive nature, to which he replies he has and the only reason he has not acted against it is because Pete is a doctor and an extremely valuable asset to the community. Though this judgement proved to be a mistake and caused Regina's death and as such, Douglas saw himself not fit to lead anymore, handing the position to Rick.

(Deeply Disturbed/Uncomfortable/Setting an example) "I want to tell you a story. Before the world spiraled into chaos, before the dead started walking, I read a news article on the internet. It's the kind of thing I usually try to avoid. Being a father, I hate stories of kids getting hurt, it really tears me up. But you know how it is -- You can't not listen when the news starts -- And after you have kids, those stories spring out of the white noise -- You can't help but hear them. The parents who shake their kids. The children left in the car on hot summer days. Babies left in trash cans -- It's horrible. But this one, the one I saw on the internet... It still haunts me, even today. A man in Florida, Fort Lauderdale, if I recall correctly, was on a drug of some kind. I don't remember which -- some type of hallucinogen, I assume. While under the influence of these drugs... He -- He ate his four year old son's eyeballs. Just ate them right out of his head. Aside from the story in general being just... Horrific, the thing that really stuck with me, that sends shivers down my spine to this very day... Was a quote from the son. "Daddy ate my eyes." No anger, no fear... Just "Daddy ate my eyes." He says it as if it's something normal, that happens to everyone. Four years old. The poor boy doesn't know any different. Talking about it now, it still makes me uncomfortable. The day I read the story... I was wrecked. I accomplished very little that day. I just couldn't stop thinking about that story, about that poor little boy."
(Enraged/Asserting his authority/Slightly Nervous) "Goddammit, Rick!! I said STOP!!!"
(In tears/Devasted/Suffered a recent loss) “Rick…. (Becomes sinister while in tears) Do it…”
Gabriel Stokes was the reverend of a regional community church. Not much of his personality or life before the outbreak has been revealed. The only detail given by the reverend was when he admitted to Rick and the rest of the group that during the initial zombie outbreak, he locked the doors to his church due to his own cowardice and allowed a whole group of survivors to be killed by roamers.
Gabriel claimed he had been living in the church's safety since the beginning of the epidemic, but the validity of his story, especially considering that it had been a full year since the outbreak began when the group encountered him, is questionable. Forced from the church due to dwindling supplies, Gabriel set out into the surrounding countryside and eventually ran into Rick Grimes and his group while they were on the road.
The group encountered Gabriel on the road at a chaotic time, in the aftermath of losing the prison to the Governor and during the heartbreaking dilemma involving the twins. Thus, the survivors were initially very suspicious of his presence and story, and did not trust him due to their weariness of other human survivors and conflict among the group. Gabriel tried to comfort them with his obvious appearance as a religious man, but most of them visibly expressed open distrust or disbelief of his presence and mannerisms. The moral dilemma involving Ben and Billy, and Dale's eventual fatal bite allowed Gabriel to blend into the group without too much difficulty as Rick and the other leaders were focused on the more pressing matters at hand. When it was discovered that Ben had killed Billy, Gabriel conducted prayers for the burial of both of the children.
Eventually, Gabriel led the survivors to his church for shelter while searching for the missing Dale, who had disappeared the night before. Rick eventually confronted Gabriel in the church, accusing him of being somehow involved in the disappearance of Dale and threatened him with violence. Gabriel then revealed his true story before meeting the group in tears. He expressed extreme remorse and guilt when he explained that he only survived several months alone in the church by turning away his followers and any other local civilians when the zombie attacks started. His main focus, he tried to emphasize to Rick, was to try and keep some spiritual faith for himself and the survivors, a sentiment which unfortunately was largely not shared. It did not take long for the group to soon discover a group of human Hunters were stalking them. The conflict escalated when Glenn was shot in the leg from afar when he and the others tried to rescue Dale, who was discovered partially mutilated in the front of the church entrance.
Gabriel was soon forced by Rick, Andrea, Michonne, and Abraham Ford to accompany them in finding the whereabouts of the Hunters, as he was the only member of their group who was familiar with the local area. When the group found the Hunters, Gabriel watched in horror as the group, led by Rick, brutally mutilated and murdered them in violent retaliation for their stalking and near fatal attacks on Dale and Glenn. Gabriel vocally expressed shock and outrage at their murder but Rick told him he was no better than them for turning people away from the church, silencing the reverend into submission.

(In tears/Broken/Guilty/Stammering/Confessing a horrible sin he did) "I lock the doors at night. I always lock the doors at night, I always lock the doors... I don't think it's enough to protect the souls of our people. I've done that and I feel I've done a good job. But I'm able... able to do more... able to really protect my flock. I feel like I could be of use to you... as a soldier. With your blessing... I'd like to start training with the others."

Regina was a seemingly calm, mature older woman, who apparently could also be hot-tempered at times, but not much is known about Regina's past history, aside from the facts that she was the wife of Douglas, and the mother of Spencer. Her marriage with Douglas was seemingly strained, and had apparently turned more politically motivated than anything else. This was easily observable by their apparent hidden disdain of one another.
Regina continuously helped Douglas with running the Alexandria Safe-Zone; from helping with new members, as well as throwing parties. She was also very suspicious of Rick Grimes and his group of survivors wanting to join their community. Regina stated to Douglas that she trusted only him and Aaron in the zone, but she did not like seeing the new guests, and was afraid that they would try and overthrow Douglas's leadership. She was shown to have been be very fearful of Rick when Heath mentioned the thought that he might wind up being another Davidson.
According to Douglas, their marriage was a political one and that they had only remained together for the sake of their child, so as to give them parental stability. It was never revealed if she knew of her husband's fixation on Andrea, or any of the other women that he had placed into high positions. Despite what Douglas said about the two of them having a loveless marriage, Andrea believed it was just lies.
While deciding on what to do with Scott's body, Regina, Rick, Douglas, Heath, and the rest of the survivors who were present at the time were approached by an enraged Pete, who was intending to kill Rick for what he had done to him and his family. Regina attempted to step in on the conflict by trying to calm Pete down. This, however, turned out to be her fatal mistake; as Pete slashed her throat with his knife, mortally wounding her. Pete was killed shortly after by Rick, who had been granted Douglas's permission to do so. It was revealed after her death, to Aaron, that Regina did most likely know of Douglas's affairs, but kept quiet out of either loyalty or love, or maybe both. He regretted treating her badly and his numerous affairs that he had put her through.

(Outraged but slightly nervous) "Peter Anderson! What's gotten into you?! Put that knife away this instant!"
(Stern Mother/Slightly annoyed) "You got something to say, Spencer?"
(SFX of her Bleeding to death/Throat slit/Terrified)
He is a resident of the Alexandria Safe-Zone, alongside his parents Douglas and Regina Monroe. Spencer is a rather hesitant man who has ideas, but can't carry them out to the best of his abilities. He is somewhat on Rick Grimes' side after the death of his father, though after the Saviors become involved, Spencer is entirely against Rick and his actions. He served as the secondary antagonist of Volume 19: March To War.
Spencer was born to, and raised by, Regina and Douglas. It can be assumed that because of his father's high ranking government position, he enjoyed a lavish lifestyle (which resulted in him developing a spoiled demeanor). At some point within the outbreak, he, his parents, and other survivors met up in Alexandria, Virginia and formed the Alexandria Safe-Zone.
He was first seen in Issue 72, at the party for the survivors celebrating their arrival. He was very friendly to Andrea and was very interested in how she changed from being a clerk in a lawyer's office to an excellent marksman. He added afterwards that the people here are easily bored and it's the reason they hear things so quickly. He then insists she should show a demonstration of her shooting skills sometimes.
He's considered very handsome by both Barbara and Olivia. Barbara speculates he could be homosexual like Aaron and Eric. Douglas has referred to Andrea that he and Regina stay together because of the kids (meaning Spencer).

(Slightly Nervous/Talking behind Rick’s back/Trying to earn Negan’s respect) "I understand what you're trying to do... To build here, with all these people. I can't say I agree with all your methods, but I get it. You're building a network, and you're making people work together, contribute to a greater good... It all makes sense. Rick Grimes is not someone who works well with others. I'm just warning you. Rick wasn't originally the leader here... It was my father and he was doing a much better job of it. Rick came along, with his group, and really wrecked things for us here. He's... Well... He's a maniac. That's the best way to put it. He may even want to work with you, but I'm telling you... This guy can't not be the boss. He's gotta be in charge... Otherwise, his ego drives him nuts. (...) Well... I am my father's son. I think I can be the leader he was... I think that's what we need... What you need."
(Annoyed/Sarcastic/Trying to hit a nerve) "Do you have any damn clue as to what you're actually doing? Oh, we’re so lucky! You’ve led us all to the promised lands isn’t that right, Rick?! I guess Glenn was lucky too?"
(Flirty) “So… What are you doing tonight?”
Heath is introduced as a man who cares utmost about the lives of his fellow residents around him, as shown when Scott was hurt, but has also been portrayed as cynical and judgmental. Heath is a guy who keeps to himself. He is somewhat aloof, and very rational. His words are few, but it has been shown that his thoughts are big. He has been shown to be intelligent, cynical, and likes to do things himself. Even with Denise, he was often reluctant to talk. Interestingly, Heath is always the first to vocalize criticisms and flaws, both in people and plans.
He is a resident and a supply runner of the Alexandria Safe-Zone. After Rick's arrival, Heath was initially wary of him but over time begins to respect him and his leadership. In the middle of the war against the Saviors, Heath loses his left leg in a grenade explosion. Following an incident with the Whisperers, Heath joins the militia.
He originally seemed to possess a cold nature, however he was quickly shown to care deeply for his friends, as evidenced by his loyalty to Scott and Denise during their final moments and his condolences given to Aaron after the death of Eric. However, Heath is very rational and refuses to allow the emotions that compel him to be caring to dictate what is logical, as seen during his first supply run with Glenn when he stated that, even though he was desperate to get back to Scott, he thought it more important to focus on getting the supplies needed no matter how long it took.
He's lately been showed to feel useless since he lost his leg, and looks forward to bad days like when the mega herd attacked Alexandria. He wants to do good to help people out. He also was shown to be more open, humorous, and laid back, sharing his feelings with Eugene and joking that they are "so fucked up."

(Trying not to argue/Setting the record straight) “I’m not saying that at all. It’s just, you know how word spreads around here. It’s hard to tell our militia to stay at the ready without them worrying about what they’re getting ready for.”
(Horrified/Shocked/Sickened) “They just… Threw him into the walkers… How… Why would they do that?”
(Friendly/Curious but welcoming) “I’m Heath. Glenn, is it? You’re with that new group that came in last week?”
He is one of the original residents of Alexandria Safe-Zone, formally working as a recruiter. He worked with Eric, who was his work partner and boyfriend. Aaron was responsible for bringing Rick and the Survivors into Alexandria and developed a close bond with the group, making Aaron one of Rick's most trusted allies. Following the Whisperer War, Aaron became Paul Monroe's boyfriend and they moved together to the Hilltop Colony. Several years after Rick's death, Aaron and Paul moved to live by a riverbank.
Not much is known about Aaron's life prior to or as the outbreak began, except that he may have been in a relationship with Eric before the outbreak occurred. It is also possible that Aaron lived in or near Alexandria before the outbreak. It is also known that he graduated from an unspecified college shortly before the outbreak began. Around the same time, he met and began dating a man who was interested in basketball; what became of him during or after the outbreak is unknown.
Aaron was among one of the original survivors in the Alexandria Safe-Zone along with his boyfriend, Eric. The leader of Alexandria, Douglas Monroe, found Aaron to be one of his most trusted allies. Aaron's duty in the safe-zone was to recruit outsider survivors for Alexandria with Eric protecting him. Aaron and Eric would search for new survivors and they would observe their behavior and determine if they were safe enough to be a part of the community. Aaron would then approach the survivors unarmed while Eric stood by, ready to defend Aaron. Those who accepted Aaron's offer would travel with him and Eric to Alexandria and meet Douglas, who would ultimately decide if they could stay in Alexandria.
While out recruiting, Aaron and Eric found a large group of survivors led by Rick Grimes as they were traveling from Georgia to Washington and decided to approach them. Surprised and afraid of an attack, Rick punched Aaron, knocking him out. The group ties Aaron up and interrogates him after regaining consciousness. Aaron reveals to Rick and his group an invitation to "audition for membership" into the safe-zone. Rick was suspicious of Aaron's calm and friendly behavior, reminding him of his encounter with the Governor. However, Michonne supports Aaron's claims, believing he is nothing like the Governor. During this, a herd roams into the area. Glenn unties Aaron and gives him a gun - allowing Aaron to help defend the group. Aaron offers back the gun and to be tied back up. This action helps Rick decide to follow Aaron back to Alexandria.
On their way to the city, the group spots Eric on his four-runner. With the group becoming alarmed, Aaron reveals Eric to be his work partner. Enraged now learning that they were being spied on and that there were others out there with them, Rick demands to know how many more are out with them. Aaron claims it's just Eric. After Aaron and Eric share a quick embrace, the group spots a flare coming from the city. Aaron reveals that its one of their own and they're in trouble. Entering the city, Aaron finds Alexandria's supply runners, Heath and Scott surrounded by roamers, with Scott having a broken leg. The group rescues them and they all arrive at the gates of Alexandria. After entering, Aaron asks Rick to speak with Douglas Monroe and have an interview about staying in Alexandria.
Following the acceptance of the Survivors, Douglas Monroe throws a welcoming party for the Survivors. Aaron and Eric attend the party, gaining the attention of some of the gossiping women of Alexandria - claiming Aaron and Eric are having a three-way with Douglas Monroe's handsome son, Spencer. After the party, Aaron and Eric returned outside the safe-zone for another recruiting mission. This time, Aaron and Eric took two of Maggie Greene's horses.
