Project Overview
Lost Nightmare is a comic about the young nightmare Ink who is supposed to be the next Bogeyman. However, Ink does not want to be scary so he seeks the Sandman's help to turn him into a dream. However, the Sandman does not help him, but instead, lures him into his realm to devour the poor nightmare. The adventurers, (Jasper and the fox twins, Moki and Nila), journey through the forest in hopes they get to Ink before the Sandman does.
About the Project
I will be dubbing the whole comic, which is 8 1/2 chapters. The number of lines each character has is in their description!

Requirements for Auditioning
-Audio Quality: Good audio quality is an absolute must! That means little to no background noise, echoing, popping consonants, and peaking. Also, do not add any sort of audio effect to your audition, such as pitch shifter or reverb.
And please, do not audition with a laptop, phone, headset, toner, or webcam mic.
-Acting Skills: This is a fairly emotional comic, lots of crying and insane laughing, so my suggestion is to just have fun with the characters. (I would also prefer that you do three takes per line, but that is not required)
-Commitment, I expect you to get your lines in on time, and if you can’t do so, inform me ahead of time or as soon as possible.
-Discord, (and your voice acting email or an email you check regularly). This is so I can communicate with you and/or I will live direct you.
Other Information
I would prefer to live direct the voice actors, however, it is not required. If you are cast, let me know if you can be live directed or not.

Ink is a fragile nightmare. Currently being trained to be the next Bogeyman, he instead wants to become a dream. He is a naïve, innocent child and often cries.
He looks up to Jasper, despite being treated horribly by him. However, later on, Ink accepts his role as the next Bogeyman, and with Jasper’s help, they peacefully rule the realm of dreams and nightmares.
He should sound like a child, and his voice should have a tone of innocence and sound timid and soft-spoken.
Both male and female voice actors can audition.

*hopeful and innocent* Can I keep a bunny, please? I’ll take really good care of it! I promise!
*frightened* Mon… ster? But I’m not a monster… am I? *starts crying* I’m not a…
*a bit confused* Oh, uhm… am I… supposed to be scared? *pouting* I can never get that right.
Jasper is a dream who the Bogeyman raised. He has one blind eye. He wanted to be the next Bogeyman, and bullies Ink because of that. He knows that the Bogeyman hate dreams, so he tries his best to be a nightmare.
In the end, he accepts that he is a dream and works with Ink to help rule the realm of dreams and nightmares.
His voice should be medium to medium high pitch, sounding just like a teen.

*a bit nervous* Why would the Sandman want to kidnap Ink? That’s ridiculous! Maybe he just ran away. *casual* It’s not like he’s needed here anyway.
*self-reflecting and confused* It’s my fault he ran away… I hate having him around but not having him around is bad, too… I don’t understand it myself… *sighs* He probably hates me now…
*crying* I’m sorry I’ve been so mean to you, Ink. I thought dad wouldn’t like me if I wasn’t scary enough. I’m so sorry… *accepting* You’re a part of me, right Ink?
The Bogeyman is the ruler of the nightmare realm. Though it did not seem like it, he cares very much about Jasper, Ink, and the other nightmares.
In the end, he sacrifices himself to the Sandman and leaves the realms in the hands of Ink and Jasper.
He should have a low, booming voice (however, please do not add any audio effects).

*chillingly, dark and compelling voice* Do not talk about things you don’t understand. *back to normal, ordering* Send out the guards, Doll! We need to find that nightmare.
*overwhelmed by memories* Doll! Please stop! Don’t open any more cages.
*mournful* The Sandman changed ever since he started devouring nightmares. I tried keeping everyone from him. But he kept luring bad dreams to his realm. *disappointing in himself* I couldn’t really help anyone…
The Sandman is the ruler of the dream realm. He hated the way people were scared of nightmares, so he starting devouring them. As time went on, he become more crazed and hungry for nightmares. He went completely insane.
His voice should be a medium high pitch. He should sound crazy, like he has lost his mind.

*disguised as the Moon Bunny to fool Ink* Run away, Ink! I will keep the Hunter away. Just keep following the moon! The Sandman will take care of everything.
Say Jasper. What’s wrong with your eye? Why have we never met before? … Or have we? *he comes to a realization, and becomes his past self for a brief moment, content and a bit happy* You’re one of my little sheep, aren’t you? You found your way back to me.
*down* But it’s too late… *more sinister and scary* There’s nobody to protect you anymore! I’m sick of being your Sandman. That’s why I chased away all you whiny dreams. But YOU came back! Are you here to replace me? *deranged* Being the Sandman is so boring! Want me to show you what’s really fun? Let’s devour those two cute nightmares.
Miss Doll is a servant to the Bogeyman. She is the one to console him and make sure he doesn’t do any rash decisions. She also trains Ink into becoming the next Bogeyman.
Her expression barely changes
Her voice should be a medium to medium-high pitch, sounding a bit monotone. Everything she says is perfectly enunciated.
There is also a mother, who the voice actor cast will voice.

*narrating* Every day and night, new dreams are born. The kind Sandman is looking after them like a caring shepherd. However, he cannot protect them all from the vicious Bogeyman… In his castle, the Bogeyman keeps a special little Nightmare, that might be more vicious than the Bogeyman himself.
You have been neglecting your duties, Mister Sandman. Nightmares have deprived you of your sanity. Please, remember who you are suppose to be.
*happy* The Bogeyman would be proud of you.
Moki and Nila are twin nightmares who resemble foxes. They hang out with Jasper and sometimes tease Ink, too. Sometimes speak in sync with each other, and other times, finish each other’s sentences. They always laugh hysterically with each other.
If you are cast, you will be playing both characters as they are both so alike.
Please read for both characters.
Both voices should be androgynous, with a high pitch. Though Moki should sound more feminine. They both should sound close to the same, but have a noticeable difference.

Moki: Boiling mad!
The Beast is a creature Ink stumbles across while lost in the forest. He is very kind to nightmares.
His voice should be a deep, soothing voice (same as the Hunter). Also, please do not add any audio effects.
He has two personas, one is the Beast, then when the moon comes out, he becomes the Hunter. I strongly encourage that if you audition for the Beast, you also audition for the Hunter.

I’m sorry little one. I did not mean to startle you.
*friendly* Humans call me Beast. What’s yours?
The Hunter is a creature with a crossbow that help to protect the dreams, and get rid of the nightmares.
His voice should be a deep, soothing voice (same as the Beast). Also, please do not add any audio effects.
He has two personas, one is the Hunter, then when the moon fades away, he becomes the Beast. I strongly encourage that if you audition for the Hunter, you also audition for the Beast.

Don’t worry. You are safe now. Can you stand, little sheep?
*questioning, concerned* What happened to your eye, little sheep? Did a monster bite you?
*remorsing, reminiscing about the Sandman* Yes, I use to admire him. But it appears… something has changed. He might be dangerous.
Jasper was found by the Bogeyman when he was just a small dream. The Bogeyman raised Jasper as if he were his child. Here, he is still very innocent.
His voice should be childlike and innocent.
There is also a child Sandman, who the voice actor cast will voice.
