As implied by the title of the GCMM, Marth is an extremely clumsy and awkward person; he was born with an incurable disease called Clumsytrophy. Aside from being a klutz, though, Marth is also socially awkward and ditzy. Despite his airheaded nature, Marth is extremely sweet to those who he cares about. He has a slightly sarcastic and sassy streak.
(Introductory; Slightly Annoyed) “Uh, hey. My name is Marth. Before you ask about the bandages and bruises, I was born with a disease called Clumsytrophy that makes you 10 times clumsier than the average klutz. ...it’s stupid, I know. But you learn to live with these kinds of things.”
(Apologetic) “Agh—I’m sorry...I promise I’ll clean up the mess I made...”
(In Love) “I told myself that I wouldn’t fall in love with someone, but...hoo BOY! I just...can’t resist!”
Caeda is an extremely sweet and romantic person at heart. Although she can be spoiled at times, Caeda has her heart in the right place. Idealistic and dreamy, Caeda is obsessed with the concept of romance and falling in love. Beautiful, sweet, and wealthy, it’s no surprise that all the boys seem to fall for her.
(Dreamy; Wistful) “Tell me, do you believe in love?”
(Annoyed) “Well, excUSE me! You can’t just walk all over anyone you’d like! Let’s get out of here.”
(Cheerful) “I know it’s silly to fuss, but...I just can’t help but wonder what my love life will look like...”
Because of Red’s introverted and aloof nature, people often mischaracterize him as being anti-social and mean. However, Red is actually just an insider who prefers to socialize within a small circle. He has a passion for music—songwriting, singing, playing guitar, but he also enjoys the quiet peace of nature. Calm and collected, Red is often considered the “organized” and “mature” friend.
*Be able to sing and hum.
*Red’s voice is not monotone, but he doesn’t express emotion as obviously as the other characters do.
(Teasing) “You can be such a ditz sometimes, y’know. You’re like a deer with vertigo. What? Just saying.”

(Romantically) “I just...just even walking around her makes me blush. Yes, I’m in love...what’s it to you?"
Phosphora is an extremely energetic and sassy person by nature. Although people often assume that she’s ditzy, Phosphora is actually intelligent and grounded—she just prefers to use her energy on other things like sports. Being the oldest in her friend group, Phosphora often assumes a motherly role. Socially smart, Phosphora can often flirt her way into getting things she wants.
(Flirty) “Aw, come on. A hot guy like you is way deserving of someone like me...”
(Concerned) “You’re sure you’re not hurt, right? This is the fifth time this week.”
(Energetic; Hyping Up) “Are we gonna win?! OR ARE WE GONNA WIN?!”
Precocious and witty, Ashley often knows more than meets the eye. Despite her small size, she has a large attitude and personality. While often appearing bored and uninterested, Ashley does indeed take pride in what she cares about. As much as she doesn’t want to admit it, Ashley values her friends more than anything else.
*Ashley has a small lisp that makes her pronounce “R” and “L” sounds as a “W” sound.
(Mischievously) “You, me, tonight at Marth’s house. I’ve got the shaving cream and whoopee cushions packed!”
(Sassily) “You did NOT just say that to me. Listen, I might be pint-sized, but I bet that I’m smarter than you.”
(Bored) *yawn!* “You guys are such babies...just hurry up and kiss already.”
Caring, sweet, and kind, Elice takes on a motherly role for those around her. While she always has her heart in the right place, she does have a sarcastic sense of humor, and she loves to tease her friends. Hoping to publish a novel she wrote, Elice has been searching around for publishing companies with little success. In the meantime, she works as a teacher’s aide at a local elementary school.
(Rambling, Excited) “Oh, you’re one of the first people to actually ask me about my novel! You see, it starts off in medieval times with a butler who works under a rich family and the family’s rich heiress. However, she doesn’t want to take over her family’s house—she wants to find love! It’s a work in progress, aha!”
(Concerned, Stern) “Oh, no...I told you, you HAVE to be more careful. What if you had gotten seriously hurt?!”
(Teasing) “Aw, you’re about as red as a tomato. You liiiiike her, don’t you?”
Severa, by nature, is an extremely competitive person with a sharp tongue. Being the daughter of Cordelia, a wealthy CEO, Severa flaunts her wealth and beauty often. She appears to have an extremely large ego, and she won’t hesitate to be unnecessarily rude to those that she deems unworthy of speaking to her. Some people have speculated that Severa’s tough, tsundere-like persona is all a facade to mask her insecurities.
(Mean, Sarcastic) “Awww, did the little klutz trip over air again? Maybe you should consider watching where you’re going for once, loser.”
(Vulnerable) “Don’t mention my mother. Please. And don’t you dare tell anyone that you’ve seen me like this.”
(Competitive) “You know FULL well that I’m gonna graduate as valedictorian during senior year. I mean, when am I EVER wrong?”
Upbeat, mischievous, and outgoing, Roy is an unstoppable ball of energy. Although he can be reckless and impulsive, Roy has a heart of gold and won’t hesitate to do what’s right. He has an extreme passion for music, being the leader of a small rock band. (He even named his guitar, or his “sword” as he likes to call it.)
(Mischievously) “I know this sounds stupid, but it’ll all be worth it. Trust me—once you see the look on her face, you won’t regret doing this with me!”
(Bored) “Hey, teach. When does this class end? ...yes, I know I just asked 5 minutes ago. It’s not MY fault that geometry is THIS boring!”
(Caring) “You gotta be confident. Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there! You DO want to win her heart, right?”
Ike is a blunt, yet passionate person. Being one of the oldest students in the school, he’s known for his maturity and realistic view of the world around him. Although many people fear Ike because of his harsh appearance, he is actually quite down-to-earth, and he gives great advice. People often wonder what made Ike so serious and cold.
(Giving advice) “You can’t just rush up to her and say whatever you want. You have to think about your words carefully.”
(Casual) “Hey, guys. I didn’t miss much, did I? Mist insisted that I stay home and take care of myself after what happened yesterday.”
(Annoyed) “Are you serious—what in the name of the gods made you think that was a good idea?”
Soft-spoken, humble, and friendly, Merric is one of the best friends you could ever have. He is extremely studious and dedicated to his craft, often times overworking and burning himself out, but he enjoys what he studies and hopes to achieve big one day. Although he can be naive at times, Merric is an intellectual; he can always figure out a solution to any situation.
(Upbeat) “Did you read the last edition of that series? No? You’ve GOT to read it! It’s so captivating!”
(Worn out) “Y-yeah, I stayed up a bit late last night studying. What time did I sleep? Uh...4am...? D-don’t worry about that—“
(Innocent; clueless) “What do you mean by that? There’s no scientifically possible explanation for that kind of thing!”
A combination of brains, brawn, and beauty, she is extremely popular among her fellow students. She has a motherly and sweet personality, but she finds herself caring too much about how other people view her. Despite this, Peach takes pride in her appearance a lot. She is very knowledgeable about the latest trends, styles, and music.
(Upbeat) “Ooh! You know, holographic accents are in right now! Maybe you can elevate your outfit with a holographic cross-body bag? And some pretty earrings, too!”
(Giving advice) “Dating, huh? Ahaha...I remember the days before I dated Mario and was just like you! Honestly, though, the best thing you can do for now is sell yourself! Never be afraid to show who you are!”
(Annoyed) “Give it a rest, Koopa! I’ve told you already—I’m NOT interested! Don’t make me get angry with you!”
**Whoever gets casted as Mario will also get casted as Dr. Mario since they basically have the same voice!**
Mario Personality: Being the student council president, Mario is a responsible and outgoing person who wants to see everyone around him smile. He has a cheerful and bright personality, and he always wants the best for everyone around him. Although he can be gluttonous and lazy at times, Mario is an amazing friend with a heart of gold.
Dr. Mario Personality: Dr. Mario takes his job extremely seriously. Although he is strict and stern, he only wants the best for his patients. He has a sarcastic sense of humor and a down-to-earth demeanor. He bears a striking resemblance to his son, Mario, so much so that they basically look the exact same.
(Cheerful) “It’s-a-me, Mario! Thank you all SO much for attending this assembly! I know it’s late minute, but it means a lot to me!”
(Stern) “What happened this time? This is the third time you’ve come into my office this month!”
(Angry) “Bowser, I told you already: stop flirting with everyone around you! How disgraceful!”
Bowser is the head of the “delinquents”, and people either respect him or fear him. Although he has a reputation for being mean and harsh, Bowser is actually quite passionate about his beliefs and won’t refuse to stand up for his friends. He has a fiery temper, and he won’t hesitate to let people know what he thinks, but Bowser doesn’t intend on truly hurting anyone - he just wants people to see things from his point of view.
(Snarky) “Gwahahaha! It’s OBVIOUS that Peach loves me; she’s just too shy to admit it. Right, my princess?”
(Angry) “Ooooh, you’re gonna get it NOW! You messed with the WRONG person!”
(Confidently) “Everyone, listen up! Listen, I know that I may not be the student council president or whatever, but I want everyone to make sure that their voices are heard! We’re the student body, aren’t we? Let’s make our opinions count!”
Being one of the school’s star athletes, Link takes great pride in his athletic prowess. Although sometimes he lets his pride get to his head, Link means well and just wants to have a good time. He has a laidback and carefree approach to life, not caring too much about other people’s opinions. He can occasionally be flirtatious, desperately trying to win the heart of Zelda.
(Flirty/Romantic) “Hey, Zelda. You’re looking stunning today...perhaps you’d like to go out tonight?”
(Proud/Boastful) “Did you SEE that shot?! It went whoosh across the court and straight into the basket! I told you, I’m the best at this!”
(Judgmental) “You sure you wanna talk to her? I’ve heard some... *ahem* ...unsavory rumors about her.”
Upbeat yet sassy, Zelda is your friendly girl next door. She’s extremely smart, and she can sometimes be a bit arrogant, but she means well and truly wants to help the people around her. Possessing a cunning wit and a sassy personality, it’s hard to outsmart or trick Zelda. Although she comes across as a bit mean at first, she cares about her friends and gives great advice.
(Slightly annoyed) “You didn’t do the homework again? Ugh, let me email you the synopsis...”
(Teasing) “Give me a chance to think about it, Link. Maybe then we’ll go on a little date.”
(Sassy) “Mhm. You know that you can’t trick me, right? Right. So buzz off.”
Although being initially shy and non-confrontational, Inigo developed a flirty and outgoing personality due to advice he received from his mother. He often talks to girls with a flirty and energetic demeanor, using it as a way to mask his shyness. Unlike Severa, Inigo is sensitive and more empathetic towards others, showing a much more caring and vulnerable side when the time comes for it. Additionally, Inigo is also quite sensitive; he tends to mope or sulk when things don’t go the way he imagined.
(Flirty) “Hey~! You’re looking quite stunning on this fine evening, mi’lady. Now, why don’t you show me a smile?”
(Empathetic) “I find that on sad nights, i just sitting outside and looking at the moon helps me calm down. I’d be willing to do it with you, as long as it helps with your problem, that is...”
(Embarrassed) “E-eh?! I-I wasn’t dancing! You didn’t see that...”
Boisterous, dramatic, and energetic, Owain speaks in a theatrical (almost overbearing) fashion. He assumes the nickname “Owain Dark” for himself. Although he can be hard to deal with at times, Owain is an upbeat soul who brings much joy to the people around him. (Also he frequently quotes Vines if that says anything about his personality lol)
(Theatrical) “Feast your eyes upon the wonder that is...Owain DARK! Tremble in fear, dial up your mama, I’m HERE! ... ... ...what? You can’t deny that that sounded cool!”
(Vulnerable) “Hey, now. I know I’m probably the last person you want to talk to right now, but...maybe I can help.”
(Teasing) “Watch out for the whirlwind of the colossally clumsy...wait— (lower tone to a whisper) —is colossally a word, Severa?”
Byleth is known for her extreme intellect and knowledge on the topics she teaches. However, she is also known for her lack of emotion; rumors even circulated that as a baby, she neither laughed nor cried. She has difficulty expressing emotions, but she shows a more vulnerable and caring side around her students. People often consider her one of the stricter teachers in the school.
(Serious) “Alright, class, settle down. Open your history textbooks to page 372. I hope you all did your homework.”
(Slightly warmer) “Things will be okay. I know the school really puts an emphasis on studying hard, but in the long run, grades aren’t EVERYTHING.”
(Lecturing) “So, can anyone tell me where Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr held their duel? You should know this if you actually did the assigned readings...”
A young yet beautiful social media star, Marnie has garnered a huge online following and fan club. While she doesn’t show much emotion and hides behind a veil of calmness, she is fairly sweet and slow to anger. People often mischaracterize her as being “rude” or “mean” because of her resting angry face and stoic personality, but in reality, Marnie is quite kind—you just need to take the time to get to know her first.
(Monotonous) “Hey, what do you want? ...no, I’m not mad. What made you think that?”
(Grateful) “Thank you all so much, Team Yell. I know you guys are just looking out for me, but, please...remember that I still go to school. I have other commitments outside of my posts.”
(Harsh) “You think you’re always in charge. Well, guess what, you’re not. You can’t go around treating people like that.”
Because of Pauline’s beauty and background, she carries herself with grace and poise. She has a musical background (both of her parents are famous Broadway actors), and she lives for the thrill of performing on stage. People often misinterpret Pauline’s confidence as arrogance, some even going so far as to call her snobby and stuck-up. She is rumored to have a crush on Mario, so much so that she’s jealous of his current girlfriend, Peach.
**You must be able to sing! (At the very least, be able to sing clips from her song, “Jump Up, Superstar.”)
(Confidently) “I LIVE for the applause! Thank you! Thank you all SO much!”
(Charming) “Good morning, fellow students! Make sure you keep your eyes peeled for our theater performance tonight!”
(Angry) “You think you’re SO much better than everyone! Please. With THAT attitude? I don’t think so!”
Palla is the oldest sibling out of her, Catria, and Est. Being the oldest out of her siblings, she takes on a motherly role for those around her. She has a sweet and down to earth demeanor.
(Neutral) “Do you need assistance, Lady Caeda? I’m always here to help.”
(Caring) “Catria, Est, remember to take care of yourselves.”
Catria is the middle sibling out of her, Palla, and Est. Serious, stern, and hard-working, you can always count on Catria to get the job done. Although she can take her work too seriously, Catria loves her siblings dearly.
(Neutral) “Greetings, Lady Caeda. I told the chef to prepare you a nutritious breakfast to get you through the day. I know you’re having an exam first period.”
(Cold) “Yeah, that’s not gonna happen. You’re gonna get hurt.”
Est is the youngest sibling out of her, Palla, and Catria. Upbeat and bubbly, Est brings light to the rooms she walks into. Although she struggles a bit with her self-esteem, she is a joy to be around.
(Neutral) “Morning, Miss! Hope you have a good day at school today! Oh, and remember, if you meet any cute boys...you know who to come to for advice!”
(Sadly) “Sometimes I wish I were as competent as my sisters...”
Acting like a spoiled brat, Peri gets easily angered when things don’t go her way. She is extremely childish and violent; people often wonder why Mostyn hired her in the first place. Peri also has a hatred for people she deems “incompetent” or “clumsy.” Despite her aggressions and violent tendencies, though, Peri is an amazing chef and dedicated to her duties. She refers to herself in the third-person.
(Childishly; Excited) “Welcome home, Lady Caeda! Peri whipped up a DELICIOUS meal that’ll BLOW you away! Ooh, you should’ve SEEN her in the kitchen! Peri went CHOP with the veggies and SLICE with the meat! Ahaha!”
(Angry; Whiny) “Oooh...that hopeless klutz is gonna GET IT! Does he need a good ol’ THWACKING? What do you MEAN, ‘NO’?! But, Lady Caeda...!”
Harsh and strict, Cornelius was raised under high standards. It cannot be denied that Cornelius is extremely strong and intelligent, but his parenting abilities are questionable. He holds Marth to the same standards that he was raised under, putting insane amounts of pressure on Marth to succeed.
(Angry; In disbelief) “You can’t be serious. My son is NOT going to grow up a failure. You must be JOKING.”
(Strict) “Go on. What are you waiting for? Time doesn’t slow down for useless children like you.”
(Enraged) “I refuse to accept this little weakling as MY son. Get out. I said, GET OUT.”
Liza, at her core, is an extremely sweet and warm-hearted person. She goes out of her way to make sure everyone around her is content and safe. Working as a nurse, Liza is extremely knowledgeable and studious; she has often been praised for her work ethic.
(Sad; Concerned; Fearful) “Y-you’re telling me that the disease is incurable...? He’ll be this way...forever...?”
(Sweet; Warm) “Shh...tell me where it hurts. I’ll kiss the boo-boo goodbye.”
(Angry) “So you’re gonna just sit by and idly watch?! I can’t BELIEVE you! Our son is literally in danger, and this is how you choose to treat him?!”
Mostyn is an extremely caring father who loves his daughter, Caeda, with all his heart. Ever since the recent passing of his dear wife, Mostyn has often been remarked to always look sad or troubled. He has a tendency to spoil Caeda because of how much he cares about her. Additionally, he also takes much pride in his social status, hoping to convince Caeda to inherit his business when she grows up.
(Mournful) “My beloved Catalina...rest easy. I promise I’ll raise Caeda into a fine woman.”
(Loving) “Caeda, my dear, you can buy whatever you’d like. Whatever makes you happy!”
(Concerned) “Are you really sure about this? I could always send you to a private school and just hope for the best...”
Catalina passed away one year before the events of Clumsytrophy. When she was alive, she was often remarked as being a beautiful woman and an extremely compassionate mother. Like her daughter, Caeda, she loved the concept of romance.
(Wistful) “Caeda...everything will be alright...don’t worry about me.”
(Determined) “I’m a fighter. And I believe that the power of love will get us through this.”
Because of the bullying and abuse that Marth faces, Marth is an extremely timid and shy person who is unable to stand up for himself. He has awfully low self-esteem, believing that he only exists to cause accidents. Although he is eager to help others, he chooses to keep his distance from the other kids for fear of hurting them.
(Sad; somewhat erratic) “I don’t wanna be like this forever! I just wanna fit in with all the other kids! They all hate me!”
(Shyly) “Oh, hey...I’m Marth. It’s nice to meet you...”
(Crying) “P-please stop...I didn’t mean to...it was just an accident! Papa, PLEASE!”
Bored of her sheltered life in the mansion, Caeda seeks adventure and thrill. Although she’s very young, Caeda is an awfully precocious child, well-versed in the “language of love.” She has a slightly mischievous and tomboyish personality, often disregarding her father’s words and going out to seek some thrills. People often remark that she looks quite sad when she’s not playing by herself.
(Disinterested) “Boring, boring, BORING! Isn’t there anything FUN to do in this crummy old mansion?!”
(Agitated) “No! I can do it myself! I don’t need the maids to help me get dressed!”
(Concerned) “Oh, no! Are you okay? That looked like a nasty tumble...”
Fed up with her father’s treatment of Marth, Elice is an aggressive and confrontational person by nature. She has a strong sense of justice, and she won’t hesitate to put people in their place. Her focus is often displaced, most of her attention is drawn to the conflict between Marth and her father; teachers often remark that Elice seems disconnected from the real world.
(Shock; disbelief) “H-he’s gonna be like this forever?! Tell me you’re joking! PLEASE! Tell me you’re JOKING!”
(Caring; calm) “Shh...it’ll be okay. Don’t listen to father. Everything he says is complete garbage.”
(Subdued anger) “If you refuse to accept Marth as your son, then I refuse to accept a vile man like you as my father.”
Callie is part of the Squid Sisters—a famous pop duo sensation. Compared to her fellow bandmate, Marie, Callie is cheery, excitable, and generally more upbeat.
(Excited) “I’m Callie, she’s Marie, and we’re the Squid Sisters! We’re SO excited to perform for you tonight!”
(Spunky) “Staaaaay fresh!”
Marie is part of the Squid Sisters—a famous pop duo sensation. Compared to her fellow bandmate, Callie, Marie is lazy and sarcastic, but she loves her fans more than anything.
