Hello I am seeking artists to draw some pages for a children's book that a friend of mine is trying to get published. We are putting together an example book to submit to agencies and need some pages drawn better than the quick sketches that we have drawn. To be blunt, this book is about poop... "A lonely little poo" to be precise. So you must have a sense of humor and be ok with drawing literal pieces of shit (lol). We are shooting for a friendly cartoonist style (Like the poop emoji), but also open to other interpretations. FYI. You will be drawing poo, toilets, a moon that looks like a butt (yes... weird we know) and a bathroom scene. This is kid friendly but also will be humorous to adults reading to their kids, so keep that in mind when illustrating.
Again, this is for an example book or a "dummy book" as it is called in the publishing industry, so the images might not get used in the final publication. But if we (and the publisher) like your drawing or style enough we may hire you to draw the entire book!
The book has roughly 15 pages that need to be illustrated, but I am only asking you to draw one or two pages. Therefore will choose several artists to draw different pages. The end result of the "dummy book" will have all the pages illustrated, except with different artists and styles. This gives us and the publishers a fully illustrated book to view, but with different artists and styles so we can decide exactly how we want the style of the book to look and what art style is best!

From those that get chosen, I will either assign you a sketch and a scene to draw, or I will give you a few scenes to chose from. Some of the drawings are a lot more involved than others (meaning more characters/detail), so some may be priced differently. Sorry we can't pay much, but again there is potential for you to get hired for the entire book!
