Year 2 Anniversary Review
As I look back on the eve of this project's two year anniversary (or rather 2-3 weeks after, but let's pretend otherwise for the sake of fun), on the surface. the overall progress meter seems a bit--anemic--when compared to the 1st.
Only two additional castings, and on/off struggles with technical-related pilotitis issues (not so much character/story), but mastering the fundamentals is always the biggest obstacle to clear when it comes to achieving goals. Otherwise, it's just grind, which either you sit down and do the work or you don't.
So, while the bullet list below may not be as stacked as an overstuffed laundry basket, the positive magnitude and value-added behind a lot of these technical migrations and additions to the production cannot be overstated:
-Casting of Divatox (Amelia Bridget) and Zachary Taylor (Trey Smith)
-Upgraded to fully licensed Industry leading sound effects (BOOM Library, Soundmoprh, Krotos Studios).
-Remade/Rewrote E1 S1-S5 from scratch
-Switched editing from Da Vinci Resolve to REAPER
-Upgraded entire VO/AMB/SFX/MX/AUX VST3 tool chains to current industry standards.
The specifics and reasoning are neither here nor there for this particular celebratory post, but ultimately every choice made is to ensure the absolute best possible end result for the future audience, as has always been the motivating drive for me.
If Year 1 was passionate love at first sight, Year 2 is more akin to the unsexy menial to-dos required for a steady relationship to flourish. But now that the core foundations are seemingly settled, as far as Year 3 is concerned...I believe that's where the real adventures of this journey await us!
In short, life is good, my schedule is ridiculously clear, and a top-tier production pipeline has been firmly established. So, in loving adieu, consider this small taste of audio fruits in the future just yearning to fully bloom...

(Sorry, but for now you'll have to imagine for yourselves the Power Bow Mexican standoff effects intended)
A huge, extremely grateful thanks to EVERYONE who has taken the time/effort to audition for MMPR'96. It means the world to me. :)
