Project Overview

I'm producing a comedic animated short film called Cheesy Angels as a way of gathering attention for the full length animated film which takes place before the events of this current project. This is my first project, and one I'm doing and funding entirely on my own. I've never hired voice actors before so this likely won't come across very professional.

The short film follows an angel and a human who visit their demon friends and wind up on a treasure hunt that ends in a boss battle and a cringy advertisement of the full length film.

CASTING DEADLINE

Honestly, I'm not expecting to get much traction quickly so the deadline is pretty flexible, but ideally I'd like to have all voice actors selected by the end of February 2026. Once roles are selected however, the deadline for finished recordings will be March 20th which should give voice actors PLENTY of time.

PAYMENT

For major roles, I'm willing to pay anywhere from $50-100 depending on how many lines and how much time is needed to complete recording. For minor roles, I'm looking more towards under $50.

-Payment will be done only through Paypal.

-Please clean up your own audio. (i.e. remove the background sounds like ACs and fans and such)

-Submit your recordings to me as .mp3 files via email, which will be provided after casting is selected. I'd prefer the recordings be separated by line, please. (I'm not entirely sure how to phrase this, but I mean when your character has dialogue, then has different dialogue on the script, keep those as different takes please.) You're welcome to send up to 3 takes for each line.

-Most importantly, this is a very silly short film, so have fun!

    For the past few hours I've been reviewing the submissions and I am absolutely blown away by all the incredible talent!

    When I threw this casting project together last night before bed, I kind of assumed I wouldn't gain much traction because I hadn't really done anything with this account since I created it many years ago...

    I woke up to 23 submissions and at the time of writing this we're now at 69! This was completely unexpected. I've been having a blast listening to all of the auditions.

    If you have any questions regarding the character's personality or context behind certain lines or how something should be read, anything you think can help your submission, please don't hesitate to reach out! I'm more than happy to offer any information that could be useful.

    Just one final thing before you go, please keep in mind that this is my first project and I'm unfamiliar in working with other people, so my communication skills likely won't come across very professional. I'd like to apologize for that in advance. Anyway, thank you guys so much! :D
