CeLestial Street | A Minecraft Roleplay
Project Overview
Hello! My name ArtemisKraft!
I'm a Minecraft Roleplay creator and a founder of Astrayed Studios, a small creative studio focused on creating original Minecraft stories, characters, and worlds.
Celestial Street is one of our original Minecraft Roleplay projects. The series follows a group of people who move into the same neighborhood and slowly become a community. What starts as a bunch of strangers living their own lives gradually turns into friendships, relationships, arguments, adventures, and plenty of chaos.
This casting call is for the public opening of our cast, meaning anyone interested is welcome to audition for the available characters!
What is Celestial Street?
Celestial Street is a character driven Minecraft Roleplay inspired by the feeling of ensemble shows like MyStreet, while creating its own characters, stories, and world.
The story focuses less on one giant overarching conflict and more on the people who live around Celestial Street.
You'll see characters:
Making friends
Starting relationships
Going to school and work
Dealing with family
Getting into ridiculous situations
Growing up and figuring themselves out
Making mistakes and learning from them
And, of course, getting dragged into Artemis's chaos. xD
The series is intended to be a long-term project, so actors should be comfortable potentially playing their character for many episodes and future seasons.
Some characters may have smaller roles at first and become more important as the story develops.
What are the requirements?
Voice Acting
You must have a proper microphone with reasonably clear audio and minimal background noise.
You don't need an expensive professional microphone! We care much more about being able to clearly hear and understand you.
Minecraft Body Acting
Minecraft: Java Edition is required for roles that involve body acting.
Celestial Street is produced using Minecraft, meaning some characters will need actors who can physically act out their character's movements and scenes.
If you're auditioning, please let us know:
Can you body act in Minecraft Java Edition?
Some roles may have different requirements, so make sure to read the character's casting information carefully.
Discord
You must have Discord and be willing to join the Astrayed Studios Discord server if cast.
This is where we'll handle production communication, announcements, scripts, recording sessions, and general studio coordination.
Commitment
Celestial Street is intended to be a long term series.
If you're cast, please be prepared to remain with the project for the foreseeable future. We don't want to constantly recast characters because someone disappears after a few episodes.
That said, we understand that real life happens! Communication is much more important than being available 24/7.
Deadlines
You should be able to meet reasonable recording deadlines.
We'll do our best to give actors enough time to complete their lines, and we'll communicate deadlines clearly ahead of time.
When Auditioning
Introduce Yourself!
Feel free to briefly introduce yourself when submitting your audition!
Tell us your name/online name, your experience (if any), and whether you can body act in Minecraft.
This is completely optional, but we like getting to know the people we're working with!
Multiple Takes
Please provide 2–3 takes for each audition line when possible.
Feel free to experiment with:
Tone
Emotion
Delivery
Volume
Character interpretation
We're not necessarily looking for someone who perfectly matches the voice we imagined.
We're looking for someone who can bring the character to life.
Adlib!
Feel free to adlib at the end of your audition!
You can give us an extra line, improvise a reaction, or simply show us another side of the character.
What happens if I'm cast?
If you're selected for a role, we'll contact you through the casting platform and/or Discord.
You'll then be invited into the Astrayed Studios production server, where we'll provide you with the information you'll need to get started.
If you audition for one character but we think you'd fit another role, we may reach out about that character as well!
Your audition may also be kept on file for future Celestial Street characters or other Astrayed Studios projects, unless you ask us not to.
A Final Note
Celestial Street is ultimately a story about people.
You don't need years of voice acting experience to audition. You don't need a massive microphone setup. You don't need to be a professional actor.
What matters most is that you're willing to have fun, work with a team, and bring a character to life.
We're excited to open the doors to Celestial Street and hopefully find some awesome people to join us!
Good luck with your auditions, and welcome to Celestial Street! 🌸
Zarah is a main character and the homeowner of one of Celestial Street's households. She's responsible, practical, independent, and patient, often finding herself as the reluctant adult of the group.
She's usually the one trying to keep everyone organized while the people around her somehow create even more problems. Zarah is confident and capable, but she doesn't always have everything figured out herself.
We're looking for a voice that can portray someone mature and grounded while still being able to show warmth, frustration, humor, and the occasional "what the hell are you people doing?" energy.

[FRUSTRATED] "I leave you people alone for five minutes and somehow there's a hole in my wall."
[CALM, BUT CLEARLY ANNOYED] "I'm not mad. I'm just trying to understand how you thought that was a reasonable decision."
[SINCERE] "Being responsible doesn't mean I know what I'm doing. It just means someone has to pretend they do."
Jessica is a minor character and one of the neighborhood's more intimidating residents.
She's quiet, sarcastic, independent, and very comfortable keeping people at a distance. She'd much rather spend her time with anime, games, horror, and her gothic interests than deal with everyone else's nonsense.
Despite her attitude, Jessica is considerably more lonely than she wants anyone to realize. Her character gradually becomes more involved with the neighborhood despite her best efforts to avoid everyone.
We're looking for a voice that can capture Jessica's dry sarcasm and guarded personality while still being able to show the softer emotions hiding underneath.

[DRY/ANNOYED] "I was perfectly happy before all of you started talking to me."
[DEADPAN] "No, I'm not coming outside. There's sunlight out there."
[ANNOYED] "Can you people please have your neighborhood drama somewhere that isn't directly outside my window?"
Tay is a minor character, local athlete, and Bo's friendly rival.
She's competitive, energetic, confident, and always ready for a challenge. Tay genuinely respects Bo, and their rivalry is less about beating each other and more about pushing each other to improve.
She's the kind of person who can turn almost anything into a competition and once someone challenges him, she's probably going to accept.
We're looking for an energetic and confident voice that can handle playful trash talk, competitive excitement, and genuine friendship.
[TEASING/CONFIDENT] "You really thought you were gonna beat me this time?"
[PLAYFUL] "Come on, Bo. You know you want a rematch."
[EXCITED] "I don't care who wins. I just want a good competition."
Keiko is a recurring character and one of the three matchmakers behind the neighborhood's matchmaking company.
She's practical, intelligent, calm, and skeptical. While Angel and Michi can get carried away with their matchmaking schemes, Keiko usually tries to keep them grounded and approach relationships logically.
Unfortunately for her, even Keiko has started becoming invested in the romantic lives of the people around her.
We're looking for a calm, intelligent voice with a dry sense of humor. Keiko should feel like the person in the room who is trying desperately to keep everyone else reasonable.
[ANALYTICAL] "I'm not saying they're in love. I'm saying the evidence is becoming difficult to ignore."
[PATIENT, BUT FRUSTRATED] "Can we please approach this like adults?"
[RELUCTANT] "...I hate to admit it, but Michi might actually be right."
Mabel is a recurring character, neighborhood gossip, and one half of the neighborhood's infamous "cat ladies" duo alongside Ruth.
She's friendly, chatty, nosy, and completely devoted to her cats. Mabel loves meeting people and somehow always knows what's happening around Celestial Street.
She genuinely cares about the people around her, even if her curiosity frequently gets her involved in things that absolutely aren't her business.
We're looking for a warm, expressive, chatty voice with plenty of personality. Mabel should feel like the neighbor who somehow already knows what happened before you even tell her.
[CHEERFUL/INNOCENT] "Oh, don't mind me! I just happened to hear what happened."
[DEFENSIVE] "I don't gossip. I simply like being informed."
[EXCITED] "Have you met my cats? Come inside! I'll introduce you to all of them!"
Ruth is a recurring character, neighborhood observer, and the other half of the neighborhood's "cat ladies" duo alongside Mabel.
She's quiet, dry, observant, and slightly intimidating. Ruth doesn't talk nearly as much as Mabel, preferring to sit back and listen.
She usually notices far more than she lets on and often serves as the sensible counterbalance to Mabel's enthusiasm and curiosity.
We're looking for a quieter, grounded voice with strong dry comedic delivery. Ruth doesn't need to raise her voice to steal a scene sometimes a single deadpan sentence is enough.
[DEADPAN] "Mabel, that's gossip."
[CALM] "You could ask them directly instead of making assumptions."
[TIRED/DEADPAN] "...I've been listening for five minutes. You're all making this much more complicated than it needs to be."
