Butterfly Tournament - Visual Novel Video
Project Overview
-- ABOUT THE PROJECT --
Note: This is a zero budget project. We will not be able to compensate actors beyond crediting and social-media shout outs.
This casting call is for a visual novel video Doe and I are making for a fantasy/apocalypse themed Original Character Tournament (OCT).
The tournament is hosted on Discord and DeviantArt. Butterfly OCT is a competition where artists are aired, compete against each other and collaborate to tell a story in the established setting using original characters.
All of the characters are survivors of their universes being destroyed, with the chance of restoring their home if they win the tournament. For more information on the setting, you can go to the Butterfly Info Document.
--PREMISE--
After the fifth world war, humanity divided itself into two nations: The Corporate Republic of Mars (those who escaped the war to inhabit a colonized Mars), and the Earth Federation (those who remained on Earth).
The Corporate Republic of Mars thrived for years... Until it couldn't.
Their resources became scare, their people's wealth became meaningless, and in an act of desperation, they went to war against the Earth Federation.
After 10 bloody years, Humanity was on the brink of destroying itself.
A-99, a child soldier (and mecha pilot) from the corporate republic of Mars, was sent on a mission alongside her troop: A.T.O.M.
A mission to end the war.
A mission to save humanity.
Will A-99 be able to restore her dying world?

Our first entry will be made from June to July 2022, with 4 more video following that for each of the tournament's rounds.
