"BROKEN" - Videogame (VOICE ACTING & SOUNDTRACK COMPOSER/PRODUCER NEEDED
Project Overview
"Broken" is a 2D horror game based off the popular title, "Five Nights at Freddy's." It's quite a simple premise and takes place in my own universe. The plot can be quite pretentious but it's vague enough to work. The original five animatronics (Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy, and Golden Freddy) are present but a whole cast of unique characters also make an appearance. The voice acting is NOT paid but even so, I really want some good auditions. Requirements are listed below as well as the description of the game.
Introduction
Hello! Welcome to Freddy Fazbear's Pizzaria Palace! Your job as a night watch intern is to keep an eye on the franchise all night long. You will have to complete a series of tasks in order to finish your shift. These tasks include: Checking in on the animatronics, clearing the ventilation, watching security cameras, and fixing any necessary problems within the franchise premises. I'm glad you have joined the family! We'll see you on your next shift!
Features
The game is an FNAF fan-game. This means that it uses the familiar click-and-point-style gameplay. To use objects, you need to click them in-game in order to use them. Other features are introduced in the game and are explicitly explained to give players an easier experience.
Fazbear Entertainment is not responsible for death or dismemberment*
Voice Acting Requirements
- A good quality microphone
- No excess background noise
- Raw or edited sound files (preferably mp3)
- Over 13 years of age
You may take as many roles as you like. This may increase your chance of getting a role. You do not have to redo auditions if I feel you have potential--I will comment specific instructions to you if I like your audition. I will be waiting for more auditions so if your audition isn't automatically accepted or acknowledged, I haven't yet chosen. More information is to come--thanks for helping a game dev out~!

Thank you to everyone who auditioned! All the voices were great and it was hard to pick final voices. For Golden Freddy, I'm using two voice actors/actresses so I need to sort that out. All the other voice actors/actresses have been cast though. Thanks for participating and helping a small game dev out ;)

Shortlist of Voice Actors/Actresses
I have been developing a shortlist of the best auditions and am now getting ready to close auditions. We will no longer be accepting auditions after May 20, 2020. We pushed it closer from the original May 26 schedule. This is due to some necessities in production. Some roles require more work outside the game (like in marketing, teasers, etc). For this reason, Freddy Fazbear will be closed and cast to one lucky person on May 15, 2020. I can't wait to start pushing out teasers and videos featuring our cast! Thanks for helping a game dev out, peace :) -
First role is being closed!
On May 4, roughly 27 hours from now (as of typing), the advertisement person role will be closed and a voice actor/actress will be officially chosen! I can't wait to review and pick someone. This will be an exciting yet difficult opportunity for all parties involved. This will be the only role that is closed any time soon. All other characters are not needed at this time and may not close before the deadline of May 26 unless otherwise specified by me. I can't wait to see how gets the role! -
More roles? Update!
I've decided that I want to add more roles. Due to some production difficulties, I will need some help. I plan on getting a composer for the soundtrack. Again, there is zero pay but I hope we can work together. More character voice audition roles are also being implemented. These roles will most likely be smaller.
The night guard is the most important character. They represent all the players that interact with the game so it is important to be clear, concise, and articulate! There is no specific tone or gender. Just make sure you sound like you're fresh out of high school and working your first job. Do what you can with this information and create a unique distinguished voice!
(As if you don't have a choice/let down) sigh...I guess I'm not getting that raise, am I?
(Confident and with a dash of fear and enthusiasm) Now...where did that thing go?
(Struggling, horrified, afraid, and helpless) No! Please-I haven't done anything! I-It's not my fault! Aaargh! (death sounds)
The tape guide is an important character. They appear throughout the game giving players directions and exposition. There is no specific gender but I want them to sound professional. Their tone should be monotone, bland, and uninterested yet firm in their speech. A robotic tone would fit perfectly. Make sure to articulate since everything you say will be carefully listened to by players. Do what you can with this information and create a unique distinguished voice!
(Monotone) It seems that there has been an issue regarding the technicians. Please go over and find them in the next section of the building.
(A slightly worried voice) There should be something in there. Just reach in, take it out, and replace it. Remember to not activate the machine. There have been some..uh...difficulties in the past.
(Improvise directions)
Freddy Fazbear is an animatronic with the soul of a child trapped inside him. His voice is a medium to low pitch with a slight growl but he maintains a sense of childhood 'magic' since he is, of course, a performer. Refer to the internet for examples. I do not necessarily want a replica, so do what you can with this information and create a unique distinguished voice!
(Slow as if he's processing the situation) I would've never guessed...I recognize you.
(In a taunting manner) I love BITE-sized snacks.
(Improvise a taunt)
Bonnie the Bunny is an animatronic with the soul of a child trapped inside him. His voice is a high to medium pitch with a slight growl. He also has a sort of nasally or unstable sort of tone (resembling voice cracks in a teenager). Refer to the internet for examples. I do not necessarily want a replica, so do what you can with this information and create a unique distinguished voice!
(Bragging) Did you know that I'm great at guitar?
(Surprised and pleased) Oh, I didn't expect a visit from ya!
(Improvise a taunt)
Chica the Chicken is an animatronic with the soul of a child trapped inside her. Her voice is a high to medium pitch and has a sort of comfort to it. She is the nicest and the least frightening out of the five but she can get creepy fast. For scarier lines, she uses a deeper, more growly/unstable voice inflexion in her speech. Refer to the internet for examples. I do not necessarily want a replica, so do what you can with this information and create a unique distinguished voice!
(Kind and soft) Would you like a cupcake? *giggle*
(Taunting/mean-spirited) I'm hungry...I think I've just stumbled across my next meal!
(Improvise a taunt)
Foxy the Pirate Fox is an animatronic with the soul of a child trapped inside him. His voice is medium pitched with a noticeable growl. His accent is 'pirate' sounding and as such, talks like one. His voice can go deeper but I'd rather stay in the more energetic side of Foxy for this audition. Refer to the internet for examples. I do not necessarily want a replica, so do what you can with this information and create a unique distinguished voice!
(Direct/confident) Yargh! I swear I could've mistaken ya for someone else!
(Taunting) Where's me hook? Eh, I'll just BITE cha!
(Improvise a taunt)
Golden Freddy is an animatronic with the soul of a child trapped inside it. Their voice is a mix between a young girl and a deep scary growly voice. This character is supposed to be the most frightening character in the game and as such, appears quite rarely. Although this role is listed as 'minor,' it's crucial that the voice is effectively nailed. Refer to the internet for examples. I do not necessarily want a replica, so do what you can with this information and create a unique distinguished voice!
(Scarily but with empathy) We know who you are. We are here to help.
(Scarily but with empathy) Do not flee, I am not an enemy.
(Improvise a line)
The advertisement person has no specific gender so I'm not looking for a specific voice. Do try to sound enthusiastic, young, and full of energy but in a cliche 90's style way. This person is in a parody commercial for Fazbear Entertainment so I want a sort of comedic element to the lines as well. Being over-the-top is fine, but make sure to do takes without that. Refer to the internet for examples. I do not necessarily want a replica, so do what you can with this information and create a unique distinguished voice!
(Enthusiastic and cliche) Fazbear Entertainment wants YOU to become an associate! Sign up now and receive a bonus check of $12 for signing up!
(Enthusiastic and cliche) That means free pizza!
(Improvise a line)
This character is the CEO of Fazbear Entertainment. They're originally British but they retain a slight American accent. This person has many secrets and spits out lies to almost everyone they speak to. Without spoiling the game, the player eventually encounters them in some way. This should be a terrifying scene for the player. Their deep and brooding voice should be very recognizable. Do what you can with this information and create a unique distinguished voice!
(Unsincerly but pretending to be sincere) Fazbear Entertainment apologises. I hope we can move forward from this terrible tragedy.
(Tiredly) Remember, family and fun are our biggest priority.
(Improvise lines)
I need someone who can create a soundtrack for the videogame. This means ambient music, menu themes, etc. For an application, I would like to hear your previous works and a fitting menu theme for the game. I'm not looking for too much information and previous work since I'm quite lenient on people. You WILL be credited as the composer and I will link your information in the cast list.
