What is this?
A fandub of the niche series, Blend S. Many love the series, but it was never popular enough to warrant and official dub, so we are dedicated to creating our own. We plan on dubbing every single episode, so we need plenty of actors who love the series (or anime in general) as much as we do.
For those of you unfamiliar with the premise: High school girl Maika Sakuranomiya has trouble finding a part-time job because of how scary she looks when smiling. However, she is scouted one day by an Italian man who is also the manager of Stile, a café where its waitresses are given unique traits such as tsundere and younger sister. Maika is given a sadistic trait because of her looks and has to adopt a dominant and cruel persona when servicing customers, particularly masochist ones!
Since this is a paid project that I am funding out of my own pocket: we would like our potential Voice Actors to have a microphone with good recording quality. Please ensure that your microphone is capable of recording your performance without picking up overwhelming background noises or excessive peaking/clipping. Our voice actors are also required to comply to deadlines which we'll be providing a 2 week grace period (with deducted pay). By Auditioning to our project, we expect that you would meet these requirements.
As I mentioned above- this project is going to be funded directly out of my pocket and as such the audition deadline has been set significantly down the road to better ensure my ability to pay everyone who is selected.
Payment is going to be on a per case/episode basis: The main cast will be paid for each case your role appears in. The listed price is the price of which you will be paid for based on your (non cameo) screen time/lines spoken during an episode, as well as the payment deduction based on the amount of (unexcused) days the submissions was delayed
Payments will be given per episode once you've given your recording and has been approved by our director.
Obviously leading roles are going to be paid the highest amount as they will be appearing most frequently and deserve to be accommodated accordingly, but we only label the roles based on how often they appear in the entire series (such as Maika's Sister) or how late they were introduced into the series even if they play a major role (Hideri who appears at around episode 8). That is why we decided to pay role based on their appearance on the episode regardless of the role hierarchy. The extras will be playing multiple roles throughout the series so they will be paid per line. These lines are not limited to the extras alone as the main cast can also provide extra voices, though we would still prioritize those who auditioned as extras to give them more opportunities.
1.) I'm a huge fan of this franchise and so are some of the previously cast individuals and as such we may be submitting our own auditions alongside all who wish to participate- I DO NOT EXPECT YOU TO TRY AND IMITATE OUR PERFORMANCES. Each role will have the suggested guidance and ideal performance parameters I have in mind for each character, but the beauty of acting is taking the same premise or direction and presenting it with your own unique flair.
2.) Anything in this color down below is NOT to be read when you're auditioning for various parts- this text exists solely to give context to the lines you will be reading.
3.) Discord is very much required as we utilize it to organize group rehearsals, deliver announcements, and distribute scripts (it's also been an incredibly useful tool for getting to know the people affiliated with the project and we've had a fair bit of fun with it).

We are looking for a script writer for episodes 4-12 of the anime, the budget is $40 per episode. The requirements are as follows:
Ability to convey the spirit of the lines while matching the lip flaps of the characters.
Specific directions for verbal sound effects or cues (i.e. grunts, laughs, murmurs)
Preferably with a discord account

This role will fill up random characters that appear in the series such as Santa claus, Dino's Brother, Mafuyu's Siblings, Maika's Parents, and even Owner the Dog! (plus plenty more) Voice Changers are fine if it helps you act better. (The right use of such tools is a skill in and of itself) You will be paid 1$ per line as well.

Maika Sakuranomiya (May-Kah Sa-Koo-Rah-No-Mi-Yah) is a 16-year-old girl who despite having a positive and cheerful personality, unintentionally gains a sadistic look in her eyes whenever she smiles. This look catches the attention of Dino, who scouts her to be the "sadistic girl" waitress at café Stile. Despite being told that the customers like being treated badly, her worrying about how she is treating customers gets the better of her, causing her to snap into an apologetic personality as soon as they have left. Kaho Hinata (Ka-Ho Hee-Nah-Tah) is a 17-year-old waitress at Stile who acts as the tsundere. She loves playing video games and often visits arcades, attracting large crowds of spectators when she does so, but this usually causes her to quickly run out of money. Although she plays the tsundere girl, Kaho's real personality is that of a carefree and cheerful person, although she retains somewhat of a tsundere dynamic with Kōyō. She has trouble keeping up her tsundere persona when customers are discussing video games, feeling the need to join in. She is currently the most popular waitress at Stile. (Taken from Wikipedia)

Mafuyu Hoshikawa (Maw-Foo-You How-Shi-Kah-Wah) is another waitress at Stile who is actually a 20-year-old college student, but plays the younger sister character because of her petite figure. Her real personality is mature and she rarely shows emotion, but easily gets excited whenever her favorite series, Aisatsu (Magical Frill in the anime), is involved. She has a younger brother who is taller than her, and she has always wanted a younger sister, although she will not include Kaho because of Kaho's body figure. Although she plays a younger sister character, she has a degree of contempt towards lolicons, and once turned down a customer who asked her out because she believed he was only interested in her because of her young appearance. Dino (Dee-No) is a 26-year-old Italian manager of Stile and works in the kitchen. He loves anime girls and figurines, and often stays up late to watch late night anime. His nose bleeds whenever he gets excited. Due to his attraction for Japanese girls, particularly black-haired ones, he develops an open crush on Maika, although Maika herself is oblivious to this fact. Due to his eccentric personality, he is often accused by the other employees of being perverted, and on one occasion even gets arrested due to describing his attraction to Maika in public. Kouyou Akizuki (Koy-Yo Ah-Key-Zoo-Key is the 21-year-old chef at Stile who loves yuri and always wants to see female customers being friendly to each other to fire his imagination. Working at the same station as Dino, he has to work harder because the latter often slacks off. Like Kaho, he is also a gamer and later becomes more conscious of her. He often gets flustered whenever he inadvertently sees Kaho's breasts, and later develops somewhat of a tsundere dynamic with her. (taken from Wikipedia)

Miu Amano (Me-You Ah-Mah-No) is a waitress who fulfills the older sister trait. She usually wears glasses, although she wears contacts when at work at the café. She is 22 years old, and usually behaves elegantly; however, she is also dōjinshi artist in a group called "Hanazono Folder" that draws adult comics, and on occasion muses about scenarios for her dōjinshi with rather disturbing details. Hideri Kanzaki (He-Dey-Ree Kan-Zah-Kee) is a 16-year-old waiter who fulfills the idol trait. Hideri is actually a boy who dresses as a girl and aspires to become an idol. He works at Stile to gain fans; giving proof to his parents that he is talented, or else he has to inherit his family's farm. While he acts like a "cute" girl all the time, he can unintentionally become manly. Although friendly and energetic, he is also incredibly vain, and believes himself to be incredibly cute, often bragging about how much his alleged fanbase admires him. (taken from wikipedia)
