Heya Everyone! This is TGF, Signin' In!
So, I'm just gonna get straight to the point - This casting call is for an original series that the team and I have been writing for years on end (while dealing with a certain... pandemic, as well as slowly producing our usual content again, if you caught my drift).
In this series, everyone on the team will be playing as themselves for the most part. However, there's a few characters that still need VAs since they're made entirely from scratch! That's where this Casting Call comes into play!~
The Project's Budget:
Alright, let's get the most important question out of the way. The budget, as of February 2022, is very tight - meaning that we don't have any spare money that we can waste, so everything has to be perfect.
With that said, yes - this will be a paid project. I've talked to some of the VAs in the team, and we came to the conclusion that we should start at a rate of 50 cents per word or $3-4 per Line, Including Retakes.
However, this rate is not set in stone and we'll gladly take your commission rates / offers into consideration - mainly because, as a team that's filled with VAs and Artists, we all know damn well that none of you deserve to be screwed over in that department.
Anyway, just as a heads up before I go more into detail, I want to bring attention to a few important details regarding the project itself and the requirements that we're looking for:
- This series will be aimed at a Mature Audience. There's no smut / NSFW (obviously), but it'll contain the following: Language, Drug References, Suggestive Themes / Humor, and Fantasy Violence. So, if you're uncomfortable with any of these, then this project is not for you.
- The series will be divided into multiple short skits / videos, similarly to Nichijou. As for the tone, we'll be going for a Comedic approach for the most part - but, there will also be some satire revolving around YouTube itself as well as some dramatic / somber moments.
- We're currently looking for people who are at least 18 years old, if not older.
- Please submit Clean Recordings with a Good Quality Mic.
- This should probably go without saying, but you'll need either a PayPal or Stripe account in order to be paid by us.
- I highly recommend having a Discord account since the team and I use it to organize upcoming projects, deliver announcements, and distribute scripts to everyone!
- Credit will be given with your username (or real name, if you want) and a link to whatever you'd like (YT Channel, Twitter, TikTok, etc.)
- The Deadline is March 15, 2022. We will not accept any submissions past that date.

Main Premise:
"Behind The Scenes with TGF and Co." is a Slice-Of-Life series that revolves around the Misadventures of TGF and Co. as they live their lives in YouToplius - trying their best as they work at their little studio / shipment center. From TGF and Daisy's usual antics to fighting against morally-corrupt DJs, mayhem usually finds its place at the TGF and Co. Studio - whether they like it or not!
...or, to put it bluntly: We're kind of going for an "Eddsworld" sort of thing - It has characters that are based off of real people, but it also has bat-shit insane things happening throughout the entire series.
The Setting:
"The City of YouToplius - the place where all YouTubers, including their creations, live together and produce content for everyone to enjoy. However, based on how many subscribers they have and the kind of content they produce, they're forced to live in specific “layers” of the city. But, it doesn’t matter which layer they're in since they are always under surveillance by the watchful eye of Susan, her Support Team and their Bots..."
YouToplius, as stated before, is a layered city (Similar to Honnō City from Kill La Kill) where all YouTubers work together in their respective "studios", trying to make something of themselves while having fun with their content!
As for the layers, there's a few main ones that should be listed and briefly described:
- The YouTube HQ (Susan, YT Support, and The Bots)
- The Elites (≥ 10 Million Subs)
- The Notables (≥ 1 Million Subs)
- The Regulars (≥ 100k)
- The Average (< 100k / The layer where TGF & Co. is currently at.)
However, there is one more layer that's located below “The Average”... The place where channels that are considered "Dead" (Hasn't uploaded in 3+ years) and the channels that have struck out due to Susan's Guidelines go to rot - The Rundowns. No Rules, No Regulations... Just Pure, Utter Chaos.
Creators & Creations:
"When some of YouTube's "Founding Fathers" moved here to this island, some of the characters they have created just suddenly... appeared without any explanation, regardless of where they were. Heh, I would've loved to see the Nerd's reaction to Shit Pickle just popping out of nowhere–”
"Anyway, to this day, we're still not sure how it happens... However, there is something that seems to be common when it comes to the sudden appearance of these characters: Intent. More specifically... Whenever the Creator in-question wants their Creation to come to life, or... I don't know, upload a public video that showcases them in some sort of way? Anyway, this "Intent" somehow converts itself into some sort of "Energy" that ends up bringing their Creation to life..."
"Once everyone figured that out, Creators of all kinds just started pumping out their own Creations left and right. Some treated the Creations like their children, Some treated them as Actors for their videos, and others... Well, let's just say those Creations never got a "happily ever after", to put it lightly..."
"Due to the abuse that a lot of Creations faced in the early days... The Welfare and Protective Agency for Creations, or WPAC for short, was founded as a way for Creations to be treated as equally as the Creators themselves."
"However, regardless of the WPAC, there is one loophole: If the Creations in-question were supposed to hurt each other or themselves - like "Mortal Kombat" and "Happy Tree Friends", for example - then the Creators need to make sure that the creations in-question are respawnable and go through an entirely different sign-up process in order to make sure that the WPAC won't fine or arrest them."
“There’s also the fact that not all Creations are made by the island. There’s quite a few that were artificially-made by the Creators themselves - like Daisy, for example.”
The Main Characters:
(I'll go more in-depth about the characters' we're looking for in their respective roles, but here's a general description of everyone else's character~)
TGF: Take a guess on who this is supposed to be. However, there's something I should note: He's a HEAVILY exaggerated version of Myself. Tired, Ambitious, Socially Awkward, Slightly Cynical, Impulsive, and has a twisted sense of humor at points - but he tries his best to be a decent leader, despite multiple hiccups along the way.
Ava Valentina: She’s a magical, fire-bending & scythe-wielding skeleton who was recently hired as the new secretary for the studio. She's way beyond Kind, Hard-Working, Considerate, Well-Mannered, and is rather Shy and Timid at points... Sounds like she's absolutely perfect for the most part, right?
Well... She would be if it wasn't for her "previous job".
While she was living in The Rundowns due to... unfortunate circumstances, she ended up being forced to deliver special "packages” throughout YouToplius. One day, one of the "clients'' gave her boss the wrong address, which led to her leaving one at the TGF and Co. Studio by complete accident.
Out of fear of possibly being murdered and putting everyone in the studio at risk - TGF, Daisy and Icy decided to track down Ava and returned it to her / revealed what was inside of it. About a week later, Ava decided to show up at the studio again for the open job interviews. The rest is history from there~
Icy Snowen: She's a Wolf Kemonomimi that works at the studio as the Main Artist, so she spends a lot of her time in her office in order to get everything done. Shy, Anti-Social, A Heavy Workaholic, but overall a very nice person who really needs a cup of coffee. However… There’s a catch with her: She lives with three literal hell spawn that she accidently created herself due to her fascination with Hell (She doesn’t want to go there, but she wants to learn about it).
LizzieBlinx / Liz: She's an Aussie that's been around the studio ever since the beginning. If someone were to describe her, well... She would be the literal definition of "Energetic" and "Impulsive", but all she really wants to do is have a good time with everyone at the studio. Blunt, Kind, Completely In-Touch with her emotions, and an overall blast to hang out with. Well, as long as you don't piss her off somehow.
The Secondary / Tertiary Characters:
GameBot: In GB's own words - "He is a cocky, yellow teenage robot who likes to run fast and save people in need. He cares a lot for his friends and will do anything to protect them from danger." He also runs his own studio in YouToplius, but he occasionally drops by the TGF and Co. Studio to do some lines and help with editing.
Johnathan: Just like Liz, he's been around ever since the beginning - voicing Sonic on multiple occasions. He also has his own studio in YouToplius, but he mainly focuses on doing work for other studios - including the TGF and Co. Studio. Overall, he's a very kind, laid back, and "chill" type of guy that just loves doing what he does best: Good ol' Voice Acting.
Snow: He's an Anthro Fox that was artificially created by a bunch of scientists with the sole purpose of causing havoc - nicknamed “Project Blizzard”. However, shortly after he was brought to life, he basically went berserk and attacked his creators due to his design being way too bloodthirsty with no restraint. They were able to stop and dispose of him, but he ended up waking up again with no memories of who / what he is.
After several years, he was able to adapt and get along with society via making several friends throughout the years - including TGF himself. He may come off as a prick at points, but he genuinely means well at the end of the day as he drops by the studio to help edit videos.
