Band Pride is an upcoming original story-plotted racing game regarding band instruments turned into GO-KARTS! Depending on which instrument you choose to play throughout the story, your main band-kart will be based on the instrument you play as you go through personalized upgrades. This game serves as an important and motivating message to stay confident in what you believe in, because it will always come back to you. No matter how long it takes to find your strength and take a stand against musical emotional destruction, you should always stay true to yourself and stand up for what you believe in.
Summary
You, Devereux Dempsey, start off as a homeless and starved adult who has lost everything. While being the only family member alive, he starts off brand new into a community band by gaining back interest to play a musical instrument from when he was in middle and high school bands just by not only a piece of paper, but a flier that is served to many other musicians to be encouraged on joining a band. Your band director, Ms. Lavender, first finds you and becomes worried sick about your current state, so you are encouraged to have the best life you will ever receive as not only the next big musician, but a motorist around the world. As time goes on, you will encounter section leaders and other friends that can guide you throughout the game, including assistance from your band director.

Hello every band student!
Thank you so much for auditioning so far! I'm still sitting here deciding who's gonna get cast based on the amount of impressive auditions. Once we get the new VAs for the 3 characters, we'll hopefully get caught up with the new voice lines again, and then plan to release the demo around May. I am currently coding the first few racing levels for the game, and I must say, we as a studio are making huge progress! The second devlog and a gameplay draft video will be published next week!
When you proceed to audition and you're about to send your recording, PLEASE make sure you read every emotion on each 3 lines for the character you're wanting to audition for. (i.e. (emotion) "this line") Conveying and delivering emotions is key to a successful audition, not just voice acting classes, especially if you're hoping to get cast and willing to post your demo reel and resumes in the future. Work hard, and don't rush! I slightly moved the deadline to March 5th, in case people need some time to practice recording.

MAIN (somewhat of a second lead)
Ms. Lavender is the band director. She is Devereux's personal guidance and has a very abundant personality toward her other band students. She always makes sure Dev is working hard on his music and also getting to know the other musicians respectfully. Please note that Ms. Lavender has a lot of lines, especially in chapter 1 since she's a main character.
Voice description -
- Ms. Lavender would sound like she is supportive and motherly, and occasionally commanding when trying to get the band's attention, etc.
- Vocal range is medium-high to medium-low
(introducing) "My name is Ms. Lavender, and I'm the band director of this community band!"
(angry) "Come on band, let's get ready for practice!"
(encouraging) "Dev, if you need help on your music, just let me know."
MAIN
Aveline is the band's section leader for the mellophone section. She plays a fanfare when a race starts or when the band's favorite football team scores. Aveline has a great leadership plan for her mellophone section and derives a smart and artistic personality.
Voice description -
- Aveline would sound mature and open toward others. She is always a good influence for the band. The rest is up to you.
- Her vocal range is medium-high to medium-low
(introducing) "My name is Aveline, and I am the section leader for my mellophones!"
(encouraging) "Why don't we race against Dev, Lucille? Racing always gets a groove on you!"
(angry) "Come on band, put your chairs and stands up!"
MAIN
Danielle is one of the color guard girls in the band. She plays the bassoon for concert season.
Voice description -
- Danielle would always be supportive for others and sounds uplifting. The rest is up to you.
- Her vocal range is high to medium-low
(introducing) My name is Danielle, and I am one of the color guard girls in the band!
(irritated) "Y'all, listen to our band director! She's only trying to help, you know?"
(angry) "Come on Allison, quit being mean to Dev!"
