Project Overview

 “Atory Mitera” is an animation project and story about a guy named Ulysses who loses his family and later orphanage to a group of purebloods. His hatred for them is abhorred, so much so that he undergoes training to become a hunter, and later gets added to a squad. Purebloods, at a point in time, ruled over humanity, but after a human uprising, with the help of two half-bloods, their reign fell and from that, the humans created the hunter's organization & squads to hunt down the remaining opposing forces standing against them.

  • Storyboarding

    It's been a few weeks since any developments but we almost have all of the VA's woo! We're currently focusing on trailer important tasks right now and storyboarding for that is has been a on/off kind of thing since we have been through a few people who started but ended up not being able to continue. Riya is a little sassy, tomboyish, brash, headstrong, and very confident in herself and her abilities, but she also has a level of self restraint, in addition, a calmness that lets her keep her head on straight during various situations.

Ulysses has a traumatic past and unresolved anger towards purebloods, the beings that killed his family. He tends to be direct and sour with an attitude towards anything he dislikes, which is why he's at odds with Riya. Usually attempting to provoke or demean her because she is a half blood. (union between humans and purebloods). He can be calm at times as well as a quick thinker and a fast learner if he keeps his anger in check.

  • "well I'm not sure what the academy is thinking letting dangerous half bloods into our ranks because it might come back to bite us one day. "Do you even have the will and strength to fight your own kind?"

  • "yeah, okay, although I'm sure I would totally beat you." 

  •  "yeah, you surprised me too, I didn't expect you to be that fast."  (he says under his breath)

Laura is rather quiet but can be outspoken at times on topics where she feels her option is especially strong about. She spent most of her life confined within hospital walls only occasionally being able to go out and see parts of the world. She spent all her free time reading all sorts of books, her favorites being History books, War novels and biology textbooks, some of which are how she found out about Hunters and how they protect the various areas from pureblood regain. Eventually her parents gave her two gifts for her 18th birthday that would allow her to experience more of life and indulge herself in her dreams of entering the Hunter academy. After some time she would graduate and be assigned to a squad, although it didn't last very long, due to laws providing squads have at least one half blood per team, the half blood that was feeding on Laura's blood abusing her kindness until eventually the half blood became feral for blood and killing the entire squad except Laura, who fought with everything she had trying to restrain him, but eventually ending up having to kill her own teammate in the end.

  • "Oh this gun? I got it from my mother, its great and I'm absolutely grateful for her giving me this gift. Although, the downsides are the fact it's a bit heavy, and I usually hurt my thumb trying to reload it, but it's thanks to these gifts, this rifle, these enhancements, I was able to continue with my goal of becoming a hunter."

  • "The first half blood I've ever killed was my teammate, I understand your grandparents were heroes. However, I don't trust you. In the event you show signs that you might betray us I won't hesitate for a second to kill you."

Lawrence is a priest who owns a run down church and often gives advice to the main character Ulysses. Not too much is known about his origin but seems very knowledgeable about everything that is happening around him, Ulysses, and the pureblood advance. (He also says the title of the episode in a scripture like way as every episode opens with Lawrence starting church services that switch to the actual starting scene of the episode)

  •  "welcome, I wasn't sure if you were going to show today."

  •  "A word of warning, about the orphanage you've been staying in, I've heard of sketchy activity being performed there, have you noticed anything out of the ordinary?"

  • "okay, just keep what I have said in your memory, just in case." "you should be going now, I know your sister gets angry at you if you come back late after dinner." "we'll speak again."

Joshua Roah

Joshua is one of the people present during the fight with purebloods at Ulysses' previous home, an orphanage. After the events of the orphanage and it burning down, Joshua takes Ulysses in as his adopted son and teaches him everything he might need to know while growing up and ends up joining the hunter academy in hopes of getting the chance to take down any pureblood within his sight. Joshua is extremely smart even rivaling Lawrence in terms of intellect and therefore is a great doctor as well as being well versed in pretty much anything needed to know about purebloods.

  •  *laughs*and says "the first thing you ask me after being holed up in a room for a week is a name?"

  •  "Nothing comes of fighting in anger, except defeat, which you have summarily experienced."

  • "There is no reason you lost that match, you could of had her after you knocked her off balance but you didn't take advantage of the opportunity ahead of you. Instead you threw a fit. When fighting you are supposed to have a clear head."

Yuri is another half blood, and Riyas mother, and the daughter of Melanie. Prior to Riyas father being killed she would be a strict but caring mother, doting on and helping her with most of her intrests as long as it didn’t have anything to do with fighting as Yuri was quite adamant on having her daughter not follow the same path as she did fighting all those years ago. Yuri would even go as far as not even letting her train with them or play fight with the other kids in a attempt to keep her out of danger. After the death of Riyas father she became cold and distant, even leaving Riya on her own for a significant amount of time. As of recently she tries to communicate to Riya via letters, in which she updates Riya on her situation outside on back to back missions in an attempt to not leave her completely in the dark like she did before.

    “I know its been two years since my last letter, and I apologize for not writing back, the mission I was assigned keeps expanding and changing day to day. Perhaps i'll return to a grand meal cooked by my Five star chef daughter.(haha) anyhow, whatever you decide to do or dream you’ve chosen to follow, make the best of every moment. P.S. check the mail room i got you a souvenir from Talan, I hope you like it."

Astios is one of the last four piopspilla or demonia. She’s very manipulative, but when she gets into situations others may see as a detriment Astios lights up in joy. She steers all her plans with the goal of entertainment and pokes into any ones business even going as far as to ruin another demonias plans just for fun. She also controls the red light distract via splitting her being into two twins to keep watch and relay information back to her while she shapeshifts and hides in plain sight as a human. 

  • “Hey, I’ve noticed you been around this area quite a bit, I assume that means you are a regular right? I’ve seen you come in and out almost daily…Is there anyone you favor? Hm? Maybe I’ll speak to them, give them a raise or a better position for taking such good care of you.”

  • “Hey Hey, I’m speaking to you. Are you reallly in such a rush? Someone you want to see that bad?” *pauses for a bit*  “Enjoy your time.”

  • "You must understand, how else was i supposed to gather information? you may disagree with my methods but at least i get results. Nothing much can be said about death for brains tearing up the countryside. besides, when was mixing business with what you enjoy such a bad thing? I guess I’m a entrepreneur huh? I’m enjoying ALL of this right now” (giggle)

Alexander is known as one of the great heroes, and one of two half bloods that were the main driving force that helped humanity establish their rule after a uprising against pureblood beings. he loves to battle even to the point where others might view him as battle crazed. Alexander handles the training of all half bloods under the academy and his methods are often seen as strict, questionable, overzealous, and rather difficult which leads to some of those in his class to drop out. Unlike Melanie however he would choose not to have any children, he also has anger issues as well as a rather cynical outlook on life, sarcastic all the while being prone to being overconfident.

"Starting at the end of this week I'm cranking the difficulty up to eleven, So you better be prepared." "Those purebloods won't be as near as forgiving with you as I am."

Melanie is a half blood that was one of the prominent key figures that helped overthrow the pureblood monarchy, After the war ended she'd experience one of the most devastating events that would scar her for years to come. Despite her trauma she's gentle and kind with just about anyone so much so she comes off motherly.

Doro is one of the 4 demonia he doesn't interact with the rest and is often just watching everything play out, he was the cause of why humanity was able to fight back against the purebloods and his goal is to have the other 3 demonia wiped out and rule peacefully in the shadows
