Project Overview

Astrum Connect is a JRPG set in the beautiful and melancholic world of Illumine. Players embark on an adventure where they will grapple with themes of identity, self-expression, love, and faith. The game design emphasizes maintaining a wistful atmosphere, incorporating elements of tragedy, toxic, and even platonic love to give players an intimate and realistic narrative experience. Illumine, the game's world, takes inspiration from post-apocalyptic landscapes, reinforcing the melancholic atmosphere while still offering a peaceful environment for players to explore.

In Astrum Connect, players will immerse themselves in a rich and dynamic world, forming relationships, uncovering secrets, and battling enemies as they work to save Illumine from destruction. With its focus on atmosphere, intimate love stories, and a beautifully crafted world, Astrum Connect promises a unique and emotional gaming experience.


This casting call is for a demo that will demonstrate the integration of voice acting into the game. Before making any commitments to hiring voice talent, we want to ensure that this direction is appropriate for the project. We are eager to work with talented individuals, but we also want to exercise due diligence before investing a significant amount of time and resources into proper compensation and voice direction.


Audition Guidelines:

  1. Professionalism and Collaboration: We expect all participants to maintain a respectful and cooperative demeanor toward everyone involved in the project.

  2. Discord Account: A Discord account is mandatory for communication purposes during the project. If you do not have one, we will be unable to proceed with your participation.

  3. Technical Requirements: It is imperative that you have high-quality recording equipment to ensure clear and noise-free audio.

  4. Confidentiality: The full script will not be disclosed until casting decisions have been made. Please refrain from sharing any project information with unauthorized individuals.

  5. Responsiveness: We require all participants to be communicative, dedicated, and responsive throughout the project. If you anticipate any issues with meeting deadlines, please communicate with us promptly.

  6. Future Expectations: If we move forward with dubbing the entire game, we will discuss payment and expectations with all cast members. This will also be an opportunity for any questions or concerns to be addressed.

    There is no limit to the number of roles for which you may audition.

    Although Astrum Connect features characters that identify as trans, non-binary, and agender, you are not obligated to identify with any particular gender in order to audition for a role. We welcome and encourage LGBT actors to audition for any role that resonates with them, but it is not mandatory.

  • Answering some frequently asked questions.

    Hey everyone, Jazzy here hoping to clear up some confusion about the project.

    Is this a paid project? This casting call is for an internal demo of the game. Our development team will use the demo to evaluate the feasibility of adding voice acting to the project. Currently, there is a possibility that we may decide not to proceed with full voice work, thus the demo will not be compensated at this time. However, should we decide to move forward with voice acting, all cast actors will receive compensation for their participation in the demo and any additional work in the future.

    Is there any explicit language in this game? Please note that the game contains mature language and themes of a sexual nature. However, we strive to maintain a respectful and safe environment for all actors involved and will not include graphic sexual imagery or offensive language, including racial slurs or other potentially triggering content. While we cannot provide exact details at this time, we are committed to collaborating with all actors to ensure a professional and comfortable working environment.

    I hope this cleared up some questions you guys may have had and one last thing. Please do not feel like you have to rush and get your audition in early or you wont be heard. The team and I vow to listen to every single audition and properly give everyone a chance regardless of credits, experience, clout, etc.

    No one will be cast until after the casting call closes.
