Project Overview
Synopsis: After being wrongfully terminated from the Investigations Agency of Polaris, our Protagonist struggles to find a piloting job that doesn't have him blacklisted. With no options left, he joins the mercenary ship of Aetos to continue supporting his ill sister and to find a way to clear his name.
Genre: Astral Ascension is a comedy-centric, sci-fi visual novel with an in-depth romance system. It features hundreds of choices so players can experience the storyline and interact with characters in a much more personalized way.

Iris is cool-headed and composed, with a soft-spoken demeanor that doesn't imply weakness. She's introspective and reserved, yet no pushover. She's pragmatic, sometimes excessively so, serving as a counterbalance to the more morally-driven crew members. While she respects justice, she sees it through a practical lens and is not afraid to do what's necessary.

A mission provider questioning if her team did the 'right' thing. IRIS [Dismissive] "We were here to do a job and we did it. Anything else does not concern us."
Calling out MC's bluff in a matter-of-fact way but is secretly playful. IRIS [Blunt/Joking] "Interesting. Then I'll keep in mind that you are averse to physical affection going forward."
Reconciling with a close family member after many years of drifting apart. IRIS [Sincere] "You made me the person I am today, and I hope that person is someone you can be proud of."
Luna is playful, friendly, affectionate, and polite. She can subtly charm and seduce with finesse, exuding a confident "ara ara" energy while also capable of feigning innocence to enhance her allure even further. On the same token, she is genuinely nurturing and caring, always looking out for people and often putting others' needs in front of her own.

After a group event, Luna approaches MC. LUNA [Flirting] "Hanging out with everyone has been a lot of fun, but I've been waiting all day for a chance to get you alone."
MC wearing just a lab coat with nothing underneath to try and be sexy. LUNA [Amused] "Oh my, did something happen to your shirt?"
Talking to MC about seeking revenge that people she knows wants to do. LUNA [Reflecting] "I understand their need for justice as I've thought about doing the same thing. But I also know that holding onto the past doesn't do any good."
Vaela is young and perky, exuding a naive and upbeat vibe. Raised in comfort, she's developed a fairy tale outlook on life, truly believing in the inherent goodness of people and the triumph of good over evil. Her infectious energy and unwavering optimism spread positivity wherever she goes.

MC telling Vaela about the time he piloted through a deadly nebula storm. VAELA [Excited] "What was that like? Was it really scary? Did your ship make it out okay? Well, I mean it must have since you're standing here chatting with me!"
Vaela misunderstands the situation and is annoyed at MC. VAELA [Jealous/Pouty] "I have this one friend who's being very thick headed! He acts like he might be interested in someone, but then he has no problem when another girl just jumps in his lap!"
Vaela and MC discuss if they should do something risky to help people. VAELA [Stubborn] "Who knows what will happen between the time we alert the authorities and the time they arrive. We need to help them now."
Kai is a Machiavellian charmer, always armed with a witty retort and constantly trolling for his own amusement. Unlike typical 'sidekicks' who are often the butt of jokes, Kai is the one making them. Despite his teasing demeanor, he's fiercely loyal and dependable, someone you can always trust to watch your back. Competent at what he does, he's a valuable ally despite his mischievous nature.

Kai is meeting a new girl for the first time and bringing on the charm. KAI [Suave] "What is important is this beautiful young lady I see before me. I don't believe we've had the pleasure of meeting yet."
Conclusion of MC having an important heart to heart conversation with Kai. KAI [Appreciative] "For real, though, you gave me some important things to think about... Although, you could have sugar coated it a little more!"
Kai being a mysterious edgelord about his past while talking to MC. KAI [Ominous] ""All that being said, the only thing waiting for me there is a fate worse than death."
Celeste, the Hero's younger sister, radiates an effortless charm and warmth, finding joy in life's simplest moments despite her hospital-bound circumstances due to her illness. She gracefully navigates her challenges, never losing sight of the beauty around her. Polite yet playful, she's not afraid to tease her brother, while offering unwavering support and encouragement in his adventures.

For every choice in the game, MC picks to call Celeste by her nickname. CELESTE [Sighing/Acceptance] "You've been calling me that non-stop for 18 years now, so I'll just accept that I'm Celery."
MC overhears Celeste talking to her (secret!) crush on the phone. CELESTE [Smitten] "Okay, cool. I'll see you then. Definitely. Yeah, I'm excited, too! Okay, bye then... No, you hang up first! No, you! Alright let's do it together."
Celeste finds out that MC lied about the type of work he was doing. CELESTE [Disappointed/Saddened] "But I'm more upset that you felt like you couldn't trust me. I'm not a little girl anymore. I can handle the hard conversations.
