Hey Guys, ThePokeFaceVA of TheSmashHub here!
As of recent Ask the Smash Cast has undergone new management, the previous director, DonkeyDude, has withdrawn the project. As one of our previous Co-Directors of the project, I will be taking over to let it continue, with DonkeyDude’s permission of course, we hope to see some lovely auditions here for the project and to keep it running with your support!

What is Super Smash Bros. and why is it so important?
Super Smash Bros. is a series of crossover fighting video games published by Nintendo. It primarily features characters from their own franchises (such as Mario from Super Mario, or Link from The Legend of Zelda). The series was created by Masahiro Sakurai, who has directed every game in the series. It's a celebration of Nintendo's history and is a staple of the gaming community.
How will the production of this series work?
Well ideally, we are looking to cast the various characters in "waves" due to the immense size of the current character roster (as seen in the latest entry, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate). These characters listed are Super Smash Bros. Wii U/3DS and Ultimate newcomers that will be used throughout the series, so bare in mind you will need to be extremely dedicated to your role if chosen, also will require a bit of patience. We are also interested in hiring artists to help with character renders, which will be used to portray the characters in various emotion types (like a visual novel style, if you will).
Anything else I should keep in mind when auditioning for this project?
The rules are as follows:
- 1. Be sure to have at least a decent quality microphone when auditioning for a voice role. I suggest having quality that can be worked with easily when editing/mixing (such as a blue snowball or something higher than most USB microphones such as XLRs).
- 2. Eliminate any background noise you may have in your recordings. It will come off as distracting. This includes air conditioners, family members in the background, construction, etc. (If you fail to do so, then your submission will be rejected)
- 3. Please remember to do multiple takes when doing an audition. This will give me more of an idea of how well you can receive/execute voice direction.
- 4. If cast, you must have a way to be contacted. We have a discord server for the project it is our main way for communication, so I highly recommend having a discord account. This will especially help with sending your recordings, discussing direction, and showing episode progress.
- 5. Have fun! Don't treat this audition like it's your job, treat it like a hobby and go crazy!

On the release of Wild World, villagers started to specialize in hobbies, such as fishing, finding fossils, collecting insects- to name but a few. They are all animals, as the title of the series, Animal Crossing, suggests, and they come in a variety of species, from mice to elephants.
