Ace Attorney Investigations: Turnabout Reminiscence Dub
Project Overview
This is a dub project of the Ace Attorney game Ace Attorney Miles Edgeworth Investigations. We are only doing the fourth case from the game Turnabout Reminiscence. It features young Edgeworth trying to solve a double murder mystery inside of the courthouse. I will provide the voice actors with a script for the dub. I will be providing the voice of Edgeworth but there are still many other roles that need to be filled for the project.
Requirements:
- Decent Mic (Any mic that doesn't sound like a glitchy mess)
- Discord (I will be using discord to direct and send out scripts, and lines will be submitted using discord)

Franziska is a prosecutor in the Ace Attorney series. She carries a whip with her that she uses to whip people she doesn't like. She has a habit of calling anyone she finds annoying "foolish". In this case Franziska is a young girl of 13 who has come in from Germany just to compete with Edgeworth to find out who is worthy of the Von Karma name. In the English versions of Ace Attorney games she comes from Germany meaning it's possible for her to have a German accent, although she doesn't have this accent in her "Take that's" and "Objections" so it's fine for her to have an American accent.
(confident) This will be the perfect chance for us... ...to see which of us is truly worthy of the Von Karma name.
(calm) Anyway... Papa... (annoyed) Are you really assigning Miles Edgeworth to cover the case?
(annoyed) Just because you became a prosecutor first doesn't mean you can act all proud!
Detective Dick Gumshoe is Edgeworth's "partner" in the Ace Attorney series. He is clueless about most things and he will come up with theories without anything to back them up. He's a nice guy overall but he can be a bit stern to people he doesn't like. In this case Gumshoe is a new detective who has yet to meet Edgeworth. His voice should be middle range and stern but still have a kind manor to it.
(demanding) H-Hey, you! No running in the hallway, pal!
(frantic) P-Please… wait! You have to listen to me! There’s an emergency
(confused) ...Who, me? Hey, pal… (annoyed) It’s common courtesy to tell someone your name first before asking theirs!
Detective Tyrell Badd is an old detective. He wears a jacket full of bullet holes to remind him of past cases. He is tough, stern, and gets easily annoyed. He often pulls out a mirror that he uses to see behind him. His voice should be gravelly (low and rough). Sometimes he'll do a lot of pauses in between his sentences.
(agitated) Von Karma! ...I think you've said enough for now. (annoyed) It's in poor taste to speak like that about the departed.
(annoyed) It's the crime scene where a detective is most useful and effective.
(explanatory) Yeah, that big lug over there. His name's Gumshoe. He was in charge of guarding the place... He's claiming that no one else entered the room.
The Judge is an old man. He is often described as someone who is absent minded. He is also hard of hearing which leads to him often making mistakes, however he is known for always passing the right judgement. In this case the Judge acts as a witness to some aspects of the case. He appears several times and is even cross examined by Edgeworth. The Judge can either have a typical senior-esque voice or a deeper more wise voice. However the judge should still have plenty of range in his voice that goes from sounding serious to shocked/ confused.
(Welcoming) Ah, you must be the one Mr. Von Karma recommended… I hear this will be your first trial.
(Worried) S-Silence!
(Thinking) Come to think of it… The other day with my grandson…
Kay Faraday is the self proclaimed master thief the Yatagarasu. In this case she is a young child about the age of 7. Her father, Byrne Faraday who is a prosecutor in the Yatagarasu case is the victim. Kay Faraday is a happy child who was very close to her father, she even keeps her promises to him after his death. Kay's voice should be high pitched, it should go from innocent sounding to angry.
(scared) ...You're scary, mister.
(Angry) Grr, I told you to stop being mean to Gummy!!!
(thinking) Umm… (excited) I want to trade these coins with you!
Calisto Yew is an attorney in the fourth case. She is dismissive of Edgeworth and Franziska, and she laughs at both of them a lot because of the way they act. She doesn't take anything seriously. Her voice should switch from joking to playful pretty quickly. Her voice should be on the lower side.
(Be good at laughing)
Spoiler: She is actually a master thief and the true culprit in this case. She is actually pretty smart and attempts to frame gumshoe for the murder.
(holding in laughter)...Mu…*snicker*. (mocking) "Do not take me for some naïve novice"...!? (laughing) Ahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
(confused) Edgeworth, huh...? Never heard of you. So Faraday's substitute is a newbie, huh?
(annoyed) ...You know, I'm not really into talking to people I don't know. Especially at a time like this.
A stern and ruthless prosecutor who is also Edgeworth's mentor. In this case he is in the very beginning enlightening Edgeworth on the case he is about to take on and appears a little later to approve Edgeworth and Franziska for investigating. This is a very minor role but a key one. The voice should be low and threatening. Also in the localization Manfred is from Germany, so he may have a German accent, but since non of his "Take that's" or "Objections" have an accent, doing an American accent is acceptable.
(Agitated) Hah! If only I was in charge of the case. I would have done everything in my power to prove his guilt!
(stern) ...Hmm. That sounds about right. However, you've forgotten one thing.
(demanding) Well then explain the case to me. I want to see if you really know what you are talking about.
