Hey Sebastian!

Thanks for auditioning for Erik Halverson in BLUE HOUR: Sacramento. I really liked what you did with him. Your voice has the grounded, mature quality I’ve been looking for with Erik, and I’d like to hear a short callback using some dialogue from our FIRST LIGHT mission.

Erik is one of the steadier members of Metro SWAT. He’s disciplined and dependable, but he also has a very dry sense of humor. He usually doesn’t try to be funny—the humor comes from how casually he reacts to the rest of the team.

Could you record these three lines for me?

1 — Professional / Radio“Perimeter’s set. North side clear.”

2 — Dry / Slightly Done With Everyone“You guys finished arguing, or can we go home now?”

3 — Casual Team Banter“Debatable.”

For the third line, the exchange is:

RAY: “Do you ever stop talking?”KOVAL: “During sleep.”HALVERSON: “Debatable.”

Don’t feel like you need to put on a stereotypical police or military voice. I actually liked how natural your original audition sounded, so keep that quality.

Thanks again, Sebastian. I’m looking forward to hearing what you do with these.

Erik Halverson is a veteran member of Sacramento Metro SWAT and a recurring character in BLUE HOUR: Sacramento.

A former highway patrol officer, Halverson is disciplined, observant, and dependable. He's particularly strong at rear security, logistics, and noticing the small things other people overlook. He's quieter than some members of the team, but that shouldn't be mistaken for being cold.

Underneath his reserved personality, Halverson genuinely cares about his teammates. He usually shows that through actions rather than speeches.

We are looking for a mature adult male voice with a restrained, natural quality. A slightly rough or weathered voice can work well, but avoid the exaggerated gravelly action-hero sound.

Performance style: understated, deliberate, calm, dry and believable. Halverson doesn't waste words.

This is a recurring character beginning with the FIRST LIGHT playable demo.

  • male adult
The sides they read from:
  • You guys finished arguing, or should I come back in twenty minutes?

  • Sit down. That's not a suggestion. You're exhausted, and whatever this is can wait five minutes

  • Rear's secure. No movement outside. Jack, I'll hold here—keep the rest of the team moving.
