About JB1986

Hey, I'm John.

I'm the creator of BLUE HOUR: Sacramento. This is my first game, and I'm building it in Unreal Engine 5.

I'm not a studio pretending to be bigger than I am. I'm one guy learning, building, breaking things, fixing them, and putting a ridiculous amount of time into something that means a lot to me.

BLUE HOUR started as an idea I couldn't let go of. I didn't want to make another tactical game where the characters are just names carrying rifles from one mission to the next. I want these people to actually matter.

They have friendships. They argue. They joke around. They screw up. They care about each other. Things that happen during a call can follow them home, and things happening in their personal lives can affect who they are when the next call comes in.

That's why I'm here looking for real voice actors.

I use AI and development tools to help me build the game, and I'm not going to pretend otherwise. But I don't want AI voices replacing the main cast. I want actual people behind these characters—people who can bring something to them that I didn't write into a script.

I'm currently working toward the playable FIRST LIGHT demo. It's being built piece by piece, and I'll continue sharing real screenshots, gameplay progress, and development updates as it improves.

I'm still learning. I'll make mistakes. Sometimes I'll probably ask a dumb question or get something wrong. But I'm here, I'm building the game, and I'm not disappearing when development gets difficult.

If you take the time to audition for BLUE HOUR, I genuinely appreciate it. Whether you're brand new to voice acting or you've been doing it for years, I'll treat your time and your work with respect.

This project is personal to me. I want to see it become something real.

Thanks for giving it a chance.
